    Abstract: A gas circuit breaker comprising: a sealed tank; two breaking sections disposed in the sealed tank; a bracket to support movable parts of the breaking sections while enabling switching operation of the movable parts; an insulation cylinder to support the bracket through an electric field relaxation shield; an insulated operating rod disposed in the insulation cylinder movably in the axial direction and an end thereof is connected to an actuator; and a link mechanism connected to other end of the insulated rod and transmits drive force from the actuator to the movable parts of the breaking sections, wherein the electric field relaxation shield is provided with out-side groove and in-side groove on the insulation cylinder respectively, and the out-side groove and in-side groove are formed openings at the link mechanism side respectively, and end of the in-side groove is extended to near the outer surrounding of the insulated operating rod.

    Abstract: Each integral unit is structured by arranging partial units (I), (II), and (Ill) side by side, while line-side devices are branched from positions between the partial units adjacent to each other. Each of the partial units is structured by connecting a current transformer and a disconnector in sequence to each of upper and lower outlets horizontally drawn out from a lateral face of a vertical-type circuit breaker in the same direction. Any two partial units positioned adjacent to each other are connected in series by connecting the disconnectors included therein with a connection bus. The line-side devices are positioned to oppose the circuit breakers while the disconnectors are interposed therebetween. The switchgear includes a plurality of integral units. Two ends of each of the integral units are respectively connected to two main buses that are provided in an upper position and a lower position while the disconnectors are interposed therebetween.

The pairs of switching contacts are arranged such that their opening paths are substantially mutually parallel or antiparallel. The pairs of switching contacts are connected in series such that the same current flowing in both arcs flows spatially in the same direction. The quenching packet is disposed in the area between the opening paths.
