Abstract: A two-part tray apparatus that includes a base tray having a desk surface for drawing and writing and a food tray having four food compartments. A resilient bottom of the base tray may rest on a lap. The food tray is nestable into the base tray and is nonslideable relative to the base tray. The base tray includes a proximal side with no upwardly extending walls to make it easy for a child to write or draw on the desk surface. Strap units are included to anchor opposite ends of the tray apparatus or may be connected to each other to form a full length shoulder strap.

Abstract: A food holding device includes a receptacle member having a body and a surrounding wall for containing food. A flexible strap is attached to the receptacle member. One end of the strap is connectible to secure the receptacle around an object (e.g., a thigh of a child). The flexible strap has ends that are configured for releasable connection (e.g., using hook and loop material). The ends can overlappingly connect to secure the receptacle to the child. The strap can be attached to the receptacle member in a number of ways, and may be removable. A liner and/or a closure device (e.g., lid or drawstring) may be used with the device. The receptacle member can receive and hold a container or a pre-packaged item. The receptacle member can be a pre-packaged item itself with an attached or attachable strap. One or more parts of the device can be disposable and/or reusable.
Abstract: The invention generally pertains to a pillow convertible between an open position as a food and beverage holder and a closed position as a pillow. By way of example, the pillow has a first and second pillow portion that may be coupled and uncoupled to switch between a closed position and an open position. The pillow also has a food surface member with one or more beverage holders that is sized to fit within the interior of the pillow in the closed position. In another example, the food surface member is a two-piece construction with a slidable tray lock that moves between a first position when the pillow is closed and a second position that secures the two pieces together as a substantially coplanar surface when the pillow is open. In yet another example, the beverage holder is tapered so as to fit a variety of sizes of beverage containers.
Abstract: A tray is disclosed herein, for supporting food and/or drink upon the lap of a user. The underside of the tray has a bowed stand, which is contoured to fit between the thighs of a seated user. The bowed stand provides optimal support, and is especially advantageous for use in a moving vehicle, to prevent sliding of the tray and spillage.

Abstract: A lap cup holder for securing a beverage comprising: a triangular base; an opening near one angle of the triangular base; and a lip around the perimeter of the opening, where the lip extends above the top surface of the base. The base includes a bottom surface which is concaved across the surface thereof. In one exemplary embodiment, the base has a first thickness near the opening and a second thickness along the side opposite of the opening. Each side of the triangular base may be curved outwardly to provide a wedge type shape.
Abstract: A device for blind retrieval of food is provided, the device having a single semi-rigid band with an opening, elastically conformable for attachment to a human thigh. A mount is disposed on the band, perpendicular to the opening. A food container having a ridge on the upper surface and a recessed surface on the lower surface, the recessed surface corresponding and conforming with said ridge of the upper surface. A connector is disposed in the recessed surface of the food container where the connector is slidably attachable to the mount of the band. The relative width between mount and the connector varies, providing a wedging or cinching effect upon sliding-attachment of the connector to the mount.
Abstract: A storage tray for storing magnetized magnets for assembly in a disc drive. The tray includes a base having a support surface and a cover sized to cover the support surface. The base is formed of a material having magnetic properties for attracting magnetized magnets for removably supporting the magnets until assembled in a voice coil motor.
Abstract: A travel tray includes a flat support surface having a raised lip extending around its peripheral edge. A concave front wall is configured and dimensioned to accommodate the natural abdominal curvature of a user's torso. An aperture is formed in the support surface to receive a tapered beverage container of relatively large size. An adaptor is detachably secured to an annular raised lip that circumscribes the aperture. The adaptor reduces the diameter of the aperture so that it can accommodate a beverage container of smaller size. The adaptor ring is stored beneath the travel tray when not in use. The annular raised lip that circumscribes the aperture prevents spilled food or liquids from entering the aperture and spilling onto the user's lap. The raised lip that extends around the peripheral edge of the flat support surface provides the same function.
