Abstract: A vehicle or shipping-container monitoring system is provided. The system is used to sample the interior environment of the container and if needed, clear a potentially hazardous material from the interior of the container prior to conventional opening. The system includes a monitoring assembly affixed to a first through-penetration in the vehicle container, an evacuation assembly affixed to a second through-penetration in the vehicle container, and an intake penetration with a cap affixed to a third through-penetration in the vehicle container. A method is also provided to assess the interior of a vehicle or shipping container for hazardous gases or vapors prior to opening the container.

Abstract: A container and closure combination, for the containment of fluids and extraction therefrom by way of an extraction tube. The container comprises a closed volume with an opening configured to close the opening of the container; the closure is provided with an aperture such that the closure, upon fitment to the container opening, cannot be removed therefrom. The aperture of the closure comprises a unitary elastic unidirectional valve member that can operate in a first, closed condition, to prevent a flow of fluid from the container; and a second, operational condition, with an extraction tube sealingly engaged with respect to the valve, to permit an extraction of fluid from the container through the tube.

Abstract: A container closure node system includes a closure chassis coupling device that couples to a container closure for a container aperture. The closure chassis coupling device includes a first plate member that includes a first securing element and a second securing element. The closure chassis coupling device also includes a second plate member that includes a third securing element that is configured to couple to the first securing element and a fourth securing element that is configured to couple to the second securing element. At least one of the first plate member and the second plate member includes a container closure engagement member that is configured to engage the container closure to prevent rotational movement of the closure chassis coupling device relative to the container closure when the third securing element is coupled with the first securing element and the fourth securing element is coupled with the second securing element.

A lid assembly is removeably received on the upper opening of the vessel and includes a steeping tube. The steeping tube extends downwardly from the lid assembly into the vessel when the lid assembly is received on the upper opening of the vessel. An articulating filter assembly is coupled to the lid assembly and includes a filter plate that is operable between an extended position and a retracted position. The filter plate is configured to contact an inner surface of the vessel when the filter plate is in the extended position. A biasing member is configured to bias the filter plate towards the extended position for filtering a brewed tea mixture as the mixture is poured through the upper opening of the vessel.

A topsy turvy toy in one exemplary embodiment comprises an artificial flower at one end and a doll having a head at an opposite end. A cover is coupled to the toy between the head and the artificial flower. In one mode of use, the cover is pulled over the doll substantially hiding the doll and exposing the artificial flower. For another mode of use, the cover is pulled over the artificial flower substantially hiding the artificial flower and exposing the doll. Accordingly, the toy is selectively transformed from a doll to an artificial flower and vice versa.

The dispenser may be stored near an entry way through which the animal commonly enters a home after being outside so that the animal may be checked for parasites immediately upon entry into the home. The device, method and system may also be used by groomers, veterinarians and kennels when checking an animal for parasites.
