  • Patent number: 5570547
Abstract: An agricultural grain storage or feed tank including a body with a roof having an upper inlet opening is provided with a roof cap assembly which includes an elongated and vertically extending control rod which is vertically and pivotably movable with respect to the body of the tank whereby a cap connected to the control rod may be selectively moved remotely from the opening by raising the control rod and thereafter swinging the cap relative to the opening. The opening is reinforced by a reinforcing centering ring which is selectively mounted to the exterior of the roof of the tank and which includes a plurality of support rods on which the cap is normally seated so as to create an air passageway into the inlet opening. In the preferred embodiment, the body of the tank is corrugated and is supported by legs having corrugated sections which interfit with the body of the tank.

  • Patent number: 5497516
Abstract: An improved apparatus for temporarily sealing a vent or overflow aperture provided in the upper portion of a fixture such as a wash basin, sink, bathtub or bidet so that a pneumatic or hydraulic type sewer cleanout device can be used to clear a blockage located in a sewer line downstream of the fixture by generating fluid pressure within the sewer line intermediate the blockage and the main water drain of the fixture. The apparatus is of simple construction and embodies an assembly made up of a pressure plate, a threaded tube and a wing nut which can be threadably advanced along the tube to cause the pressure plate to sealably engage the apertured wall of the fixture.

  • Patent number: 4429804
Abstract: A beverage can re-sealer is provided which is functional on both the cans with the removable tab and the more recent type of can in which the pull tab remains with the can after it is opened. The re-sealer has a covering body which covers both the pouring hole and the opener tab, and defines a resilient lip surrounding both of these items, with a cam-actuated depending foot which is inserted through the pouring hole and rotated so that the foot grips the can lid alongside the hole, subsequent to which it is cammed up tightly against the surface, bringing pressure to bear on the sealing lip.

  • Patent number: 4132327
Abstract: In accordance with the present invention a hatch cover opening and closing assembly is provided including a locking handle having a yoke pivotably mounted about a vertically extending shaft located in the center portion of the cover. The shaft extends downwardly through a guide which depends from the cover. The guide includes at least one generally vertical indexing slot. Below the cover a laterally extending pin and a plurality of radially extending locking arms are attached to the shaft. A plurality of locking lugs are mounted on the internal surface of the coaming. The shaft is rotatable by the handle to move the locking arms into and out of engagement with the locking lugs. However the pin must be located within the indexing slot to move the locking arms vertically into engagement with the locking lugs. When the shaft is rotated so that the pin is located out of the slot, but in engagement with the guide, the handle may be used to pivot the cover about a hinge into open position.
