  • Patent number: 10709270
Abstract: A lid assembly adapted to be removably secured to a container includes a base portion having a fluid aperture, and a ridge portion extends from a top surface of the base portion. A button member is coupled to the base portion, and depressing the button member from a closed position to an open position displaces a seal member of a seal assembly away from the fluid aperture so that fluids may pass from the interior of the container through the fluid aperture. A locking assembly includes a cover portion coupled to the base portion, and when the cover portion is in a locked position, an engagement portion engages a recess on the button member to prevent displacement out of the closed position. When the cover portion is rotated into an unlocked position, the engagement portion disengages the recess, thus allowing the button member to displace to the open position.

  • Patent number: 8025170
Abstract: The present invention is a cap covering for a punch-key tab rotably attached to the top of a preformed can, wherein the punch-key tab is to be utilized by a person to punch out a prepared flap seal in the can top along a predefined scored boundary. The cap covering includes an attachable and detachable hollow casing which can be fitted on-demand onto the handle of a punch-key tab. The invention will distinguish individual ownership among identical cans of beverage; will serve as a closure to aid in keeping the carbonation (if any) in the beverage; will aid in maintaining the beverage at the desired drinking temperature; and will act in minimizing spillage, keep bugs and debris out, and in keeping the beverage in an unadulterated state.

  • Patent number: 7992741
Abstract: A lid for a drinking cup may include a rim portion and a raised cover portion. The rim portion may be adapted to matingly engage an upper peripheral edge of the drinking cup so as to selectively maintain the lid in a covering relationship on the cup. The raised cover portion may extend from the rim portion, and have a perimeter adapted to impede spillage of liquid over a peripheral edge of the lid. Liquid spilled or released on the cover portion or perimeter portion may drain away from the periphery of the cover portion and into the drinking opening or a recess in the cover portion that is adapted to receive a reclosable tab.

  • Patent number: 7721905
Abstract: A lid device for use with a container includes a lid, a frame, and a two-axis pivot coupling connecting the lid to the frame. The frame is mounted to or otherwise connected to the container rim. The lid has a substantially flat and rigid work surface on which a workpiece can be placed. A user can pivot the lid about a first axis to laterally offset the lid from the central opening by a desired amount. With the lid in such an offset position, the user can access the container to, for example, discard waste materials, without having to remove a workpiece resting on the work surface. The greater the amount by which the user offsets the lid, the greater the amount of the container opening that is accessible. A user can also pivot the lid about a second axis to swing the lid open and closed if, for example, the user desires greater access to the container and no workpiece is resting on the work surface.

  • Patent number: 7677402
Abstract: The invention concerns a device for hermetically and safely closing a feeding bottle to avoid any leakage of the liquid. Said closing device comprises: a rotary closure consisting of an inner ferrule and of an outer ferrule each having an offset opening respectively and, the inner ferrule being lodged in the outer ferrule. An internal thread of the inner ferrule enables the rotary closure to be fixed to the threaded neck of the feeding bottle. A nipple, inserted in a retaining ring comprising an internal thread, is fixed to the threaded neck of the rotary closure. A cap is provided, which enables the nipple to be protected. The inventive device is particularly designed for hermetically closing the feeding bottle.

  • Publication number: 20090101646
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a liquid storage and dispensing system includes a closure configured with a spout that is releasably coupled to a body. The body has a base integrally formed with a front region, a back region, and two side regions that form a cavity for storage of a substance. For placement of a product label, the front region is relatively flatter than the two side regions and the back region, and the front region slopes inwardly from the base such that the front region faces upwardly when the base is placed on a horizontal surface. Each of the two side regions includes an indentation proximate the opening and aligned with a longitudinal axis passing through the center of body. The indentations form a handle for grasping the body while dispensing the substance. The front region and the indentations form a volume in the upper portion of the body that is less than the lower portion of the body.
