Abstract: The invention relates to a stopper, provided with an obstructor for a can. Said stopper comprises a cap provided with a central opening and an annular skirt, and an annular shaft extending around the opening, in addition to a capsule which is detachably fixed, by means of a tear element, to a free edge of the shaft opposite the opening. The tear element joining the shaft to the capsule is placed in an entrance area at an angle in the free edge of the shaft. At least one sealing lip is disposed on the inner surface of the shaft, and the cap, skirt and capsule of the stopper are moulded in a single piece without any welding or the addition of another component or detachable part. The invention also relates to a method for the production of said stopper by offset injection in a region which is outside the cap.

Abstract: A waste container for disposing sanitary waste, such as soiled diapers, comprises a canister having a storage space, an opening at an upper end and a bottom at a lower end. A retainer frame is pivotally attached to the canister and has an aperture for inserting a trash bag through the aperture and folding an upper edge of the trash bag over the retainer frame. A retainer is pivotally attached to the canister and has a rim that inserts into the aperture of the retainer frame to retain the trash bag. A lid having a hole which aligns with the aperture of the retainer frame is pivotally attached to the canister for allowing the lid to pivot between a closed position covering the opening and an open position. A sliding door is coupled to the lid and is slidable between a closed position and an open position.

Abstract: A padlock container assembly for packing and maintaining small articles is assembled primarily from a box container and a closure for closing the open top of the container. Buckle holes are disposed in the upper sidewall of the container that cooperate with elastic closure pieces disposed on a skirt of the closure to lock the closure the container. The closure has a sliding cover capable of being moved according to a predetermined path disposed on an external cover of the closure. A series of holes in the closure allows for various connection arrangements between closure parts. A hangtag extends upwardly from the external cover to allow the container assembly to be hanging and exhibiting.

Abstract: A lid covering an interior of a medical waste receptacle base. The lid includes an intermediate waste repository connected to the cover. The repository is moveable between a holding position adapted for holding waste segregated from the receptacle base interior, and a dumping position adapted for biasing waste by gravity into the receptacle base interior.

Abstract: A beverage container closure that is adapted for closing an open end of a beverage container. The lid is selectively couplable to the beverage container and includes a selectively openable stopper that when closed, creates a fluid-tight seal between the beverage container and the environment. The stopper may be selectively opened by a user pressing a button disposed on a side of the beverage container closure. The stopper is subsequently automatically closed when the user releases the button. Thus, the user may open and close the beverage container closure using a single hand without the need to remove the beverage container closure from the beverage container. The beverage container closure includes a venting mechanism configured to vent the beverage container before the stopper is opened when the user depresses the button, thereby allowing pressure in the beverage container to equalize before the stopper is opened.

The container comprises a container body, a cap assembly and a flexible straw; the cap assembly comprises an inner cap and a valve assembly which can open and close the passage between inside and outside of the container body by respectively extending and bending the flexible straw; and the cap assembly also comprises a venting switch assembly which comprises a venting valve hole mounted on the inner cap, a float venting valve, protrusions mounted respectively on both ends of the inner side of the slide sheet, and hollow portion mounted between two the protrusions. The float venting valve is movably mounted to the venting valve hole and comprises one or a plurality of elastic protrusions on its contact surface.

Above the lower container section is an upper container section secured to the lip and groove of the lower section. The upper container section can hold a second different liquid than the first liquid. The upper section defines a mixing channel where openings to both the upper and lower container sections meet to allow the two liquids to mix prior to final dispensation.

Abstract: An automatic opening-and-closing discharging structure for a loose powder jar in which a discharging porous face can be automatically opened and closed based on a makeup demand. In this design, overlapped fixed and movable trough plates having opposite discharging porous faces are arranged at a filling port of a jar body. Long and short arc grooves are disposed oppositely at an external perimeter of the porous face of the fixed trough plate, wherein an elastic member is disposed in each long arc groove. Convex inserted columns are inserted at the bottom of the movable trough plate corresponding to the positions of the long and short arc grooves, so as to form a rotation control guide. Convex points are preset on a top-edge ring plate of the movable trough plate, so that when a jar cover is locked, the discharging is closed by dislocation and disconnection of the porous faces as the cover body rotates.

Abstract: Improvements in a nestable sports bottle are disclosed to allow a person to keep track and consume eight ounces of water eight times a day. Accounting for the eight bottles is made with an adjustable indicator ring that is located on the bottle to identify how many times the bottle has been filled and consumed. The bottle is separable in two portions to improve the ability to clean the interior of the bottle and where the separable sections can nest inside, and be secure to one another for reduced storage space. The bottle has a closure to open and close the bottle with one hand using their mouth. The bottle has a tether loop to retain the housing(s) and prevents accidental dropping, loss or to carry the bottle with one finger. The cap can be removed to fill the bottle through the opening created by the removed cap.

The opening including an upper rim surrounding an upper central axis and a lower rim surrounding a lower central axis that is non-co-linear with the upper central axis. The lid includes a generally circular closure sized for blocking the opening. The lid includes a guide extending along the cover. In the open position, the closure is at least partially out of alignment with the opening. In the closed position, a center axis of the closure is aligned with the upper central axis to block the opening. The closure is moveable from the closed position to a locked position in which the center axis of the closure is coincident with the lower central axis.

Abstract: A beverage container having a slidably openable lid assembly is disclosed. The lid assembly basically comprises a base member and a cover member. The base member includes a wall portion releasably securing the lid assembly to the container and an opening in fluid communication with a beverage holding chamber in the container. The cover member is slidably coupled to the base member to slide from a closed position to an open position and vice versa. When the cover member is in the closed position it isolates the opening and the contiguous portions of the base member from the ambient surroundings. When the cover member is in the open position it exposes the opening to enable a user to drink the beverage via the opening. The cover includes an elastomeric member arranged to engage and seal the opening in the base member when the cover member is in the closed position.

The cartridge comprises a valve that is moveable between an open condition and closed condition to control communication between the reservoir and second drink passage.

Abstract: A closure with an additive reservoir is mounted on a container for a consumable liquid such as a beverage liquid or health drink. The closure has four components; a base, which includes the additive reservoir; a spout mounted on the base; a plunger positioned in the additive reservoir, and a tamper proof, dust resistant outer cap. Upon advancing the plunger, an additive in the reservoir is released into the consumable liquid upon the additive or plunger rupturing a membrane barrier. Upon moving the spout from a first position on the base to a second position on the base, a passageway through the base is opened so that the consumable liquid can flow to the consumer without having to remove the closure. Preferably, the additive chamber is mounted in a support column of the base with the passageway for the consumable liquid disposed between the additive chamber and the support column.

Upon moving the spout from a first position on the base to a second position, a passageway through the base is opened and the consumable liquid flows to the consumer without having to remove the closure. The additive chamber is mounted in a support column of the base with the passageway for the consumable liquid being disposed between the additive chamber and the support column. In a preferred embodiment the additive is the sole pressure link between the plunger and barrier.

Abstract: A cover for sealing a container and preferably containers for a well plate. The cover is comprised of at least a top layer and a bottom layer structured in a way to form a recloseable aperture. Preferably, each of the layers comprise a recloseable aperture structured as flap, damper, baffle or butterfly valve respectively, wherein the recloseable apertures are arranged on top of each other. In a preferred embodiment of the invention a third moveable layer is arranged between the top and the bottom layer. By moving the middle layer, the aperture in the cover can be closed.

Abstract: An airless applicator may deliver high/low viscosity liquids or semi-liquids, and contains a valve controlling flow between a product reservoir and an intermediate pooling area, while a narrow opening between the intermediate pooling area and a product dispensing chamber controls flow therebetween. This arrangement prevents backflow to the product reservoir, precluding an influx of contamination therein. Product delivery is by specially adapted applicator heads. In one embodiment, a plurality of prongs, and openings into the product dispensing chamber, permit application of mascara onto eyelashes. Alternating prong heights increases effectiveness in applying mascara onto all sides of a user's lashes. Other applicator heads are configured for lip product applications such as for lipstick, and for eye products such as eyeliner and eye shadow.

Abstract: A locking device is adapted for receipt within the main cavity of an underground enclosure. The locking device includes a container having a main body and a container top which define an interior compartment for holding the items of the underground enclosure. The main body is adapted to be assembled in the main cavity of the underground enclosure and is sized to be retained within the underground enclosure. The container top has a selective open position to allow access to the interior compartment of the main body and a selective closed locked position to deter access thereto. An arm assembly coupled to the container top is moveable between an extended engaged position to retain the container top on the container and a collapsed disengaged position to allow release of the container top from the container.

Abstract: A closure for a container with a cap connecting to a neck of the container has at least one cutter edge placed around a central axis internal of the neck. The edge cuts through a closure film as axially displaced on a holding sleeve, which is held centrally by the cap with a flexible skirt. The holding sleeve contains a component for mixing with the contents of the container. A screw cap holds an initial non-puncturing position and, a stop position after additional screwing on, at which the film is punctured. The cap remains permanently on the neck of the container, and includes a pouring opening. In the stop position, the container contents flow toward the pouring opening. When the screw cap is back into its initial position, flow to the pouring opening is interrupted.

The cover has a top including a generally rectangular recess, front and back walls, and a pair of side walls defining an upper portion of the storage area. The cover is operably coupled to the base to enclose the storage area. The dispensing port passes through the top of the cover within the recess. The slider is disposed within the recess, operably coupled to the cover, and moveable within the recess from a closed position where the dispensing port is covered to an open position where the dispensing port is uncovered.

Abstract: A cap device for use with a container or bottle includes adjacent first and second portions, each portion including a structure different than the other for accessing the contents of a container. The first portion may include an opening, such as a straw opening or pour opening, and a cover pivotally movable between open and closed configurations. The second portion may define a trough and include a drinking implement, such as a sipper, that is pivotal between retracted and extended configurations. The drinking implement includes first and second sections, the first section being rotatable between retractable and locked configurations. Contents of the container may be accessed when the second section is in the locked configuration. The drinking implement may be moved to the retracted configuration only when the second section is in its retractable configuration.

Abstract: An opening device of plastics material, which is suitable for closing and re-closing of a metal can end, for example. The opening device has two distinct parts: a base plate and a tab, which are joined together by an integral rivet. The opening device is used to close an aperture in the metal panel of a can end by fitting the base plate to the underside of the panel and connecting this to the tab on the top of the panel. A sliding action by pulling or retaining the tab actuates movement of the base plate for opening and reclosing of the closure panel.

Abstract: A cap device for use with a container or bottle includes a spout portion having a trough defining an access hole. The cap device includes a drinking implement coupled to the trough and pivotal between retracted and extended configurations, the drinking implement covering the access hole at the retracted configuration and being in communication therewith at the extended configuration. An upper surface of the cap device defines a cavity adjacent to and in communication with the trough that is configured to receive a person's finger to selectively urge the drinking implement between retracted and extended configurations. The cap device may include a pour portion adjacent the spout portion although the spout portion accounts for a relatively larger area than the pour portion.

Abstract: A waste disposal apparatus includes an open/close sealing mechanism that nips a film at a position between a film accommodating portion and a waste accommodating main body to seal a space below the nipped part of the film from a space above the nipped part of the film. The sealing mechanism has a sealing door capable of being opened and closed, and a sealing door receiving portion. Film nipping portions of the sealing door and the sealing door receiving portion include concavo-convex shapes that bend a vertical intermediate portion of a film portion to be nipped, laterally with respect to an imaginary straight line that connects upper and lower ends of the film portion to be nipped.

Abstract: A reclosable cup lid thermoformed from a polymeric material includes a domed member and a closure panel. The thermoformed domed member is provided with a sidewall and a top wall, the top wall having upper and lower surfaces and a drinking aperture at a periphery of the top wall. The top wall further defines a pair of engagement tracks depending from the lower surface of the top wall and also defines a post aperture disposed inwardly with respect to the drinking aperture. The closure panel has opposed engagement edges, an upper surface provided with a post projecting upwardly therefrom, and a drinking aperture sealing area. As assembled, the domed member and closure panel are configured such that the opposed engagement edges of the closure panel are slidingly mounted in the engagement tracks for generally radial displacement.

Abstract: An elastomeric vial cap used for sealing a vial container, but allowing pipette access to its containment fluid includes an annular flange portion for capping the vial and a sloped truncated cone portion to easily guide the pipette into the vial container. A tubular seal portion is configured to encircle the truncated cone portion and firmly engage an inside wall of the vial container with ease of insertion. A center flap portion is circumscribed by a channel at its top surface for penetration by the pipette and has a flex portion. The center flap portion separates around the perimeter of the channel but hinges at the channel above the flex portion and does not become dislodged. The ratio of the diameters of the pipette and the center flap portion is such that significant problems related to back-pressure and vacuum conditions do not exist during transfer of the containment fluid.

Abstract: A reclosable cup lid thermoformed from a polymeric material. The lid includes a closure panel and a lid member having a sidewall and a top wall. The top wall can have an upper and lower side and a drinking aperture at a periphery of the top wall. The top wall can define a pair of engagement tracks disposed on the lower side of the top wall. The engagement tracks can include a scalloped configuration and an undercut depth. The closure panel can be insertable into the scalloped engagement tracks by application of a bending force to the lid member suitable to widen the distance between the tracks.

As assembled, the domed member and elongate closure panel are configured such that the opposed engagement edges of the elongate closure panel are slidingly mounted in the slide tracks for generally radial displacement.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device for sealing foodstuff containers, in particular drink containers, comprising: a sealing element adapted to engage on a wall of a foodstuff container around a wall opening arranged in the wall, and an operating element adapted to co-act with the sealing element for displacing the sealing element between an opened position leaving the wall opening clear and a closed position sealing the wall opening. The invention also relates to a foodstuff container provided with such a device.

One of the positions is a rear position rearward of the access opening and the other of the positions is a front position forward of the access opening. Each optional open position exposes the storage space through the access opening.

Abstract: A lid for controlled drinking from a drinking container having a mouth includes a central portion defining an edge. The lid includes a linear actuator having an outer portion extending beyond the edge and a inner portion extending within the edge. The lid further includes a gate valve having a pivot positioned proximate a center of the central portion, about which the gate valve can pivot between a closed position wherein the gate valve essentially occludes an opening defined in the central portion, and an open position wherein the gate valve does not essentially occlude the opening. The gate valve is engaged with the linear actuator and responsive to motion thereof to move the gate valve between the closed and open positions. A biasing mechanism biases the gate valve towards the closed position.

Abstract: A thermos (with or without a vacuum) with an improved beverage consumption apparatus which enables a liquid to be consumed directly from the thermos when a valve is pushed to the opened condition so that liquid can exit the interior of the thermos. Thermos also contains an improved larger easily locatable circumferential closing ring which facilitates closure of the container when the user is in a darkened area or driving a moving vehicle so that the consumer must have one hand on the steering wheel and is not necessarily looking at the thermos. The thermos also comprises an improved sealing cap to facilitate valve closure. The thermos also contains an improved valve sealing means to assure that even a tiny amount of liquid will not seep out of the thermos when the thermos is placed into a container such as a briefcase which contains written material and valuable electronic objects.

The container is characterized by the following: a fixed lower part which can be fastened to a container neck that surrounds a container opening in order to seal said neck; a cover comprising a protruding connecting piece that forms a passage for the free-flowing product; a displaceable upper part which can be coaxially displaced on the lower part in and against the direction of the container between an outer resting position and an inner actuating position; a breaker or dish-shaped diaphragm valve which has a base consisting at least of a flexible elastic material and whose upper edge seals the underside of the upper part; perforations in the base of the diaphragm valve which are closed in the testing position of the upper part; and a diameter of the base that is greater than the inner cross section of the connecting piece.
