Abstract: A unitary, removable, transportation ring for maintaining the closure of a covered container, such as a cylindrical paint can, snaps into place and securely maintains a lid on the container even in an environment of high pressure within the container. The ring is responsively operable in the presence of elevated and extreme pressures within the container to improve the engagement of the ring with the container, and to improve the engagement of the lid with the container, each in order to maintain the cover tightly sealed over the top opening of the container. An annular flange depends from the inner radial margin of the body of the ring and abuts the lid or cover of the container to maintain the engagement of the lid with the container.

Abstract: A manually operable rigid device defines a generally V-shaped groove opening onto an outer face thereof for closing a storage container in a multi-step process by bending a flexible, upstanding peripheral rim thereof over a margin of a central cover. A manually operable rigid device defines a wedge having a tip for opening a storage container in a multi-step process by unbending the previously bent rim thereof.

Abstract: A capsule for the storage and vibration mixing of two components, particularly for dental uses comprises a mixing chamber in which one of the components is stored, the chamber having an aperture which is closed by means of a removable closure member and a foil bag which can be ruptured without disintegration by the mixing movement is housed in the mixing chamber and contains the other component in liquid form. The liquid component is a high specific gravity liquid such as mercury and the closure member is sealingly secured to that part of the capsule which forms the mixing chamber by a seal which has a predetermined breaking strength, formed conveniently by a weld or adhesive. Externally the closure member presents a cylindrical socket to which can be fitted a cylindrical lever for the purpose of breaking the seal to remove the closure member and allow access to the interior of the mixing chamber for withdrawal of the mix.
