Abstract: A grease or oil separator system that includes a grease interceptor body with a variable flow control assembly. The grease interceptor system is a large tank with an inlet for wastewater and a downstream outlet for passing the wastewater minus separated grease and oil into a sewer system. Inside the tank, the grease floats to the top so that it can be removed through an opening in the top wall that provides an access port for clean out. The pickup for the outlet is located toward the bottom of the tank near the bottom wall so that only water separated from the grease flows into the sewer system. The variable flow control assembly varies the size of an opening in a conduit inside the interceptor body. Varying the size of the opening controls the flow from the inlet into the tank.

The opening section has a cylindrical portion extending outwardly from a tank main body, and a metallic annular tank cap engaging member having a plurality of engaging holes is attached to the cylindrical portion. A plurality of engaging claw parts of a metallic annular attaching member are engaged in the engaging holes of the tank cap engaging member to hold the tank cap with the attaching member and the tank cap engaging member. The tank cap has tank cap positioning projections, and the tank cap engaging member has positioning holes for insertion of the tank cap positioning projections, and at least one engaging claw part and at least one engaging hole are respectively made longer in a circumferential direction than remaining engaging claw parts and remaining engaging holes.

Abstract: A cap has a pair of L-shaped, flexible engaging arms that extend, from the end of a cap body opposite to the direction of fitting, in the direction of fitting with a distance away from the cap body. The distal ends of the engaging arms are connected by a pair of flexible connecting bridges to surround the outer periphery of the cap body with a distance away therefrom. The cap body is fitted into a cylindrical part of a cylinder head cover and engaging projections of the pair of engaging arms are engaged with an engaging recess in the outer periphery of the cylindrical part. The engaging arms are flexed to get away from the outer periphery of the cylindrical part by pushing circumferentially middle parts of the connecting bridges to come close to each other, so that the engaging projections are disengaged from the engaging recess.

  • Patent number: 7344042
Abstract: A fuel cap has a torque mechanism that transmits a rotational torque to a casing main body through engagement elements in response to rotation of a cover. When the rotational torque exceeds a predetermined level, the engagement is released to give a click. The first torque arm is constructed as a cantilever beam having a free end facing an arm support member across a preset gap. Under application of pressure, the first torque arm is deformed and transmits a rotational torque in the closing direction to the casing main body. This arrangement assures setting of the rotational torque of the torque mechanism to the predetermined level to apply a sufficient sealing stress to the fuel cap.

Abstract: A locking cap and container is provided for a container having an opening surrounded by a neck with container threads thereon that are sized and located to threadingly engage cap threads formed on a skirt of the cap. A shaped distal end is formed on a distal end of the container threads and a barb is formed on the distal end of the cap threads. A resilient locking tab extends from the container, and is located below the shaped distal end and spaced apart from the shaped distal end a distance sufficient to allow passage of the barb beyond the shaped distal end but sufficiently close to resiliently urge the barb into overlapping rotational alignment with the shaped end. The shaped end is configured to lockingly engage the barb when the tab holds them in alignment. Pushing down on the cap pushes the thread against the locking tab and allows disengagement of the barb from the shaped distal end and movement of the barb past the shaped distal end to unlock the cap.
