The locking device (13, 14) is arranged in such a way that it is effective at a distance from the final position.

Abstract: An elastic arm part is provided on an outer periphery of a cylinder part of a cap, and a projection is formed in an outer periphery of an opening part. When the cap is loosened, the arm part engages the projection and is elastically deformed and after releasing the engagement of the arm part and the projection, an engagement between a first screw part and a second screw part is released. Even if an engaging distance between a first screw part and a second screw part is short, the cap is prevented from rapidly opening, and it is possible to lengthen a time a fuel steam is slowly discharged from the opening part.

Abstract: A lead dispensing storage container that can be opened or closed by a single hand. The container body has a lead case formed therein, and a lead outlet allowing release of leads one by one. A gate member mounted in the container body can be moved to open or close lead paths between the lead case and lead outlet. An elastic arm portion forces the gate member to move in direction to close the lead paths. The number of parts is reduced, and supplying leads can be made easier by a case that has a lead supply opening projecting from the tip thereof. A leading end of the case has an inclined slope toward the lead supply opening therein, and a chuck containing leads having a knocking portion that is pressed into the case so that it can be opened by the knocking portion being pushed to press an opening actuator toward the inclined slope or is closed by an elastic force as the opening actuator is released.

Abstract: A closure for a fuel tank filler pipe comprises a body carrying a seal at one end for engagement with an outer end of the filler pipe, an outer cover, and a latch member at the other end of the body coupled to the cover and having latching projections for engagement with complementary formations on the filler pipe. A spring biases the latch member towards the outer cover so as to urge the seal into engagement with the end of the filler pipe when the latching projections on the latch member are in engagement with the complementary formations on the filler pipe. The connection between the latch member and the outer cover allows a predetermined range of angular movement of the outer cover relative to the latch member in the unlocking direction before unlocking commences.

Abstract: A closure for a container has a lid combining positively interengaging latches with a biasing feature which urges the lid upward with respect to the container in order to more firmly effect latching. A series of projections formed along the interior upper periphery of the container register with latching slots formed along the outer surface of a skirt which depends from the lid, which is dimensioned to fit closely within the opening of the container. An annular flange extends from the outermost periphery of the lid to overlap a portion of the skirt. The outer upper periphery of the container is tapered outwardly to force the flange to flex when the lid is placed on the container thus imparting an upward force to the lid and, thereby, to the lug-and-latch combinations when the lid is turned to register the lugs with the latches. A handle assembly is attachable to the exterior of the container.
