The aim of the invention is to provide a safety closure whose components that are exposed to the pressure are more solid and therefore function more reliably and whose drive at the same time serves as a protection from an inadmissibly high excess pressure.

Abstract: A cover for a vented fuel tank cap comprises a cover body in which a cavity and a vent are formed. The vent may be built into the cap by drilling at an acute angle through a lower surface and an interior sidewall, and into the ceiling of the cavity. A hollow member extends from the ceiling into the cavity, allowing the cavity to remain in fluid communication with the vent. The exterior surface of the structure forms a barb for securing a flexible tube. The position of a moveable element within the cylinder, such as a ball, acts as a valve allowing air to enter the fuel tank through a slot when the cover is in place, while preventing loss of fuel if the tank assembly becomes inverted. The fuel cap cover features a low exterior profile, without protrusions, and the cover preferably has no articulated or detachable parts.

Such a storage container device includes a storage container and a lid, where the lid is sized to be secured to the storage container, either through compression fit, threaded attachment, or a combination thereof. The lid further includes a valve that can be secured to a vacuum pump to evacuate the fluid contents of the container. Additionally, the valve may be used to introduce an inert gas, such as argon or nitrogen, into the container to preserve its contents. A plurality of storage container devices may be stackable, and a spacer may be used to facilitate stacking if the location of a valve would otherwise impede stacking.

Abstract: The fuel cap includes an outer cap as an outer envelope, an inner cap removably fitted in the outer cap through an opening therein, a canister located in a space between the outer cap and the inner cap for adsorbing a vaporized fuel. The fuel cap closes a fuel filler port for feeding a fuel to a fuel tank. The canister adsorbs a vaporized fuel vaporized from the fuel in the fuel tank. At least one of the outer cap and the inner cap defines a communication hole communicating with the space and an exterior. The canister includes a housing; and an adsorbent accommodated therein. The housing defines, on an end surface directed to the inner cap, an inlet for vaporized fuel and on another end surface directed to the outer cap, an outlet for gas.

Abstract: The invention concerns a vent cap for oil tanks of machines and motor equipment, comprising a cup (1), equipped with means of engagement (4) with the seat of the tank filler, and a lid (12) mounted on the cup and which snaps thereon. Between the cup (1) and the lid (12) there is a gap allowing the vapor outflow from the tank to the outer environment or viceversa. According to the invention, said lid (12) comprises two cylindrical diaphragms (12b, 12c), concentric to the cap axis and which, in cooperation with the cup (1), form labyrinth means for the flow of vapors and air. Cup (1) also carries a guide (7) supporting a level rod (8), consisting of a central, cylindrical main body (7b), wherefrom ribs (7a) for anchoring to the cup (1) depart. Guide (7) extends, at the top, into two flexible flaps (7c), provided with means of engagement (10) of the rod (8).

Abstract: A leak resistant drinking cup has a container with an open top and a lid assembly for removable attachment to the container for selectively closing the open top. The lid assembly includes a liquid discharge member for allowing liquid in the container to exit the cup. A closure member is adapted for placement adjacent the open top of the container when the lid assembly is attached to the container. A flexible diaphragm is moveable between a sealed position and an unsealed position. The diaphragm is moveable from the sealed position to the unsealed portion by a vacuum being applied to the diaphragm by a user sucking on the liquid discharge member. The vacuum causes the diaphragm to flex toward the container and at least in part away from the closure member and thereby move the diaphragm from the sealed position to the unsealed position.
