Abstract: Described herein is an improved bottle and lid design that eliminates the need for lids on bottles that require unscrewing, snapping, or other exertion to remove and/or replace the lid.

Abstract: According to one aspect of the disclosure, packaging for a sterile syringe having a nominal size of less than 1 mL may include a flexible tray having a cavity for containing the syringe. The cavity may include an opening, one or more sidewalls, and a base. A lip may surround the opening, may extend radially outward from the cavity, and may define a periphery of the tray. A removable cover may have a periphery that is adhered to the lip, and the removable cover may be permeable to a gaseous sterilant, including one or more of vaporized hydrogen peroxide or ethylene oxide. A projection may be associated with the base of the cavity and may extend away from the base of the cavity in a direction opposite to the opening of the cavity.

The assembly (40) includes a primary outer seal (42), an innermost, generally U-shaped gutter (26), and a secondary inner seal (44). The outer seal (42) is disposed between the door (20) and wall structure (12), whereas the inner seal (44) is located between the gutter (26) and the (inner surface of the door (20).

A second holding device for holding a blank is provided, and the second holding device is arranged in the second chamber and is movable relative to the housing. A processing device is movable relative to the housing, and a blank held in the first holding device and a blank held in the second holding device can be processed by the processing device.

Abstract: Examples disclosed herein relate to a flexible living hinge for an identification pull tab. The flexible living hinge has a first shot area with a first portion of a first material and a second portion of a second material. The first portion has a first spring tail and a second sprint tail for attachment to a surface of a product and the second portion has a flat surface. A second shot area of a third flexible material is connected to the first portion and the second portion of the first shot area.

Abstract: A heat-shrinkable polymeric cover provides a safe, low cost way to cover a food service pan during food preparation, storage, cooking, transport and reheating. The food pan cover can have a closed top end having a first top edge and a second top edge and an open bottom end having a first bottom edge and a second bottom edge. A first side seal extends from the top end to the bottom end, and a second side seal extends from the top end to the bottom end. A gusset can be formed between the first top edge and the second top edge. The food pan cover can be formed from a single layer of heat-shrinkable polymeric material capable of withstanding a temperature of at least about 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

A window pane of a transparent material placed on a side of the cap floor facing toward the cap lateral wall in a manner sealing the opening of the cap floor; as well as a contact disk placed on a side of the window pane facing away from the cap floor. The cap lateral wall includes on an inner side facing the window pane a groove, while the contact disk has a contact region bearing against the window pane as well as an outer edge having formed therein a plurality of teeth, which are in engagement with the groove.

The second cover piece is hingably and releasably coupled to the first cover piece so that the first cover piece and the second cover piece are separable from one another. At least one tab extends laterally away from at least one of the first cover piece and the second cover piece, and is engageable by a user to lift an end of the at least one of the first cover piece and the second cover piece.

Abstract: A child resistant closure is provided that is configured to fit over the opening of a receptacle to form a container. The closure includes an inner dosage cup and an outer cap portion that receives and retains the inner dosage cup. The outer cap portion is rotatable relative to the inner dosage cup and defines at least one viewing window that allows for visual indication of a level of contents within the inner dosage cup.

Abstract: A container cover includes a cover plate, an annular frame and an annular gasket. The frame includes an annular surrounding wall and an annular flange. The surrounding wall extends substantially in a vertical direction, and is disposed outwardly of the cover plate to surround the cover plate. The surrounding wall cooperates with a peripheral surface of the cover plate to define a gap therebetween. The flange extends integrally and inwardly from the surrounding wall to contact an upper surface of the cover plate and to seal off one end of the gap. The gasket is disposed between the surrounding wall and the peripheral surface of the cover plate to fill the gap. The cover plate, the frame and the gasket are molded as one piece.

The container includes a cover disposable on the housing in a closed position relative to the receptacle. A button is movably carried by the cover and a seal. The seal is carried by the cover and shiftable between a compressed condition for sealingly engaging the wall structure when the cover is disposed in the closed position, and an uncompressed condition for disengaging from the wall structure. The container also includes a toggle mechanism coupled to the button and to the seal for effecting movement of the seal to its compressed and uncompressed conditions respectively in response to alternate actuations of the button.

Abstract: A waterproof assembly for an electronic device includes a watertight door and a case. The watertight door includes a cover, a water absorbing ring, and a water blocking ring. The cover is provided for being disposed into an opening of the case. The water absorbing ring and the water blocking ring are disposed between an outer peripheral surface of the cover and an inner peripheral surface defining the opening. The water absorbing ring includes deformable material and water absorbent, such that the water absorbing ring expands by absorbing water and contacts the inner and outer peripheral surfaces. The water blocking ring is normally compressed and contacts the inner and outer peripheral surfaces. When water penetrating occurs, the water block ring blocks water preliminarily, and then the water absorbing ring block blocks fully water after completely expanding.

The door portion may be movable about the hinge to allow the package to be opened and closed. The door portion may interface with the door panel in a way that resists movement of the door portion between the open position and the closed position. The door portion may include snap elements configured to have an interference fit with the door panel.

Abstract: A box having a top surface and a resealable cover, the resealable cover comprising a top layer and a base layer. The top layer comprises a first clear film layer, an adhesive layer, and a second clear film layer disposed on a resealable adhesive layer. The base layer comprises a third clear film layer an adhesive layer, and a fourth clear film layer. In one embodiment, ink printing may be disposed between the first adhesive layer and the second clear film layer and/or between the second adhesive layer and the fourth clear film layer.

Abstract: A storage container assembly comprises a storage receptacle and a removable lid. The storage receptacle has a base and a continuous sidewall connected to the base. The sidewall projects upward from the base to a peripheral edge. The removable lid has a rigid central cover portion and a flexible seal portion that traverses a perimeter of the rigid central portion. The flexible seal portion has a release tab disposed along its periphery, and a pocket disposed inward of the release tab. The flexible seal portion further has a ledge disposed generally at the periphery of the flexible seal portion. The ledge contacts the peripheral edge of the storage receptacle. The flexible seal portion further has and a blade portion disposed below the ledge. The blade portion contacts the side wall of the storage receptacle and forms a generally fluid-tight seal with the sidewall.

The plastic components define a space for containing one or more articles. The folded paperboard card may be a dual-panel card with two panels joined to one another along a fold line or other hinge. Each paperboard panel may define an opening to seat a plastic component. The paperboard is configured to bring the two plastic components into registration when the panels are folded together along the hinge. The plastic components may be configured to releasably interlock when the package is closed. One of the two plastic components may include a shoulder that is configured to be snap-fitted or otherwise frictionally into the other plastic component. The opening may include a seat shaped to closely receive and provide a stop for the shoulder.

Abstract: A port and closure device for a vessel that is configured for use with a glove bag. The port comprising includes a first annular flange with an opening, a second annular flange disposed a predetermined distance from the first flange and also having an opening, and a seal ring disposed adjacent the first annular flange and having an additional opening. At least a portion of the openings are aligned so that a path is provided through the flanges and the seal ring. A slideable door is included in the port between the seal ring and the second annular flange. The slideable door has a first position that obstructs the path and a second position that is outside of the path. Springs are disposed between the first flange and the seal ring that urge the seal ring toward the slideable door. To reduce contamination sites, the springs may be sealed within an annular interface between the first annular flange and the seal ring.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a collapsible food guard for displaying and serving food comprising a resilient transparent cover assembly for a substantially planar base. The cover assembly is substantially semi-cylindrical of a predetermined radius and has closed opposing ends. The cover assembly is reversibly pivotably attached to a base and has downward facing edges to seal the cover to the base when the cover is pivoted in the down (closed) position. The semi-cylindrical portion of the cover assembly is a resilient transparent shield that reversibly detachable from the arched surfaces of the closed opposing ends (side walls) and is sufficiently resilient such that when detached form the arched surfaces of the opposing side walls, it assumes the substantially planar shape in which it was initially molded. This resiliency allows the collapsible food guard to collapse into planar elements (side walls, shield and optional base) requiring minimal storage space and providing easy cleaning.

The second container piece can include a cutout in proximity to the hinge connection and the hangable tab. Accordingly, the cutout can provide clearance for the rotation of the hangable tab beyond the hinge connection. Further, the second container piece can have a perimeter having a shape substantially similar to the perimeter of the first container piece. The perimeters can form a substantial seal in combination.

The depressed area is surrounded by and extends below the top, substantially planar surface. The raised area is surrounded by and extends above the top, substantially planar surface. The raised area is positioned nearest one of the two opposite lateral edges and the depressed area is positioned nearest the other one of the two opposite lateral edges. The hinge area extends laterally across the top, substantially planar surface and is positioned between the depressed area and the raised area.

Abstract: An improved cup structure includes a cup body having an inner cup and an outer cup, with a space disposed between the inner cup and the outer cup. In the cup body, bottoms of the inner and outer cups are connected by an extension rod having an ornament; one end of the extension rod is adhered to an outer bottom of the inner cup and placed in the outer cup with the inner cup. Edges of the inner and outer cup are melted together, and glue is filled from an aperture at the bottom at the outer cup to secure the other end of the extension rod and the ornament within the space.

Abstract: The invention relates to a security container formed to receive a cassette which visually indicates to a user what type or style of good is contained therein. The cassette may be of a general solid block type in one color or having one visual characteristic, or the cassette may have multiple inserts or slides which may be moved within the cassette to change the outwardly facing color or visible characteristic.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described that facilitate generating a color interference effect during opening and closing of a package for a product. The package includes first and second portions, each having printed thereon a color interference pattern. All or part of the second package portion is transparent, permitting the color interference pattern on the first package portion to be seen through the second package portion. The package portions are mated together (e.g., in a tube and sleeve arrangement or the like), such that the color interference patterns are aligned and overlap each other completely when the package is closed. As the package is opened (or closed), the interference patterns move or slide past each other, creating the visible color interference effect.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described that facilitate generating a changing visual effect during opening and closing of a package for a product. The package includes first and second portions, each having thereon an polarized interference region with non-parallel planes of polarization. All or part of the second package portion is transparent to one polarization, permitting the polarized interference region on the first package portion to interact with a polarized interference region on the second package portion. The package portions are mated together (e.g., in a tube and sleeve arrangement or the like), such that the polarized regions are aligned and overlap each other when the package is closed, thereby permitting less light through due to the two overlapping planes of polarization. As the package is opened (or closed), the polarized regions move or slide past each other, creating the visual effect by changing the size and shape of the overlapping polarized region.

Abstract: A storage container assembly comprises a storage receptacle and a removable lid. The storage receptacle has a base and a continuous sidewall connected to the base. The sidewall projects upward from the base to a peripheral edge. The removable lid has a rigid central cover portion and a flexible seal portion that traverses a perimeter of the rigid central portion. The flexible seal portion has a release tab disposed along its periphery, and a pocket disposed inward of the release tab. The flexible seal portion further has a ledge disposed generally at the periphery of the flexible seal portion. The ledge contacts the peripheral edge of the storage receptacle. The flexible seal portion further has and a blade portion disposed below the ledge. The blade portion contacts the side wall of the storage receptacle and forms a generally fluid-tight seal with the sidewall.

Abstract: A lid assembly for a storage container base with an interior storage space and an open top end. The lid assembly has a closure section positionable over the open top end of the base. The closure section has a top panel, an access opening through the top panel or formed by the top panel with the closure section installed on the storage container, and a perimeter extending around at least a portion of the closure section and being removably attachable to the base. The lid assembly also has a hub and a cover section mounted to the closure section and rotatable about the hub between a closed position covering the access opening and an open position uncovering the access opening. A transparent part of the cover section can be positioned over the access opening in the closed position.

The hinge area extends laterally across the top, substantially planar surface and is positioned between the depressed area and the raised area.

Abstract: A food container formed from plastic, can be loaded with food and then closed by a clerk, and thereafter cannot be opened without tearing apart first sides (24, 26) of the base (12) and lid (16). The container is formed by a single sheet of plastic that forms a base and lid with second sides (20, 22) that are latched together and with adjacent first sides that are joined by a joint line (30) in the plastic that is creased and that has slits (40). At the joint line, the lid has a projecting lid tab (32) and the base has a projecting base tab (36). A person grasps both tabs, and lifts only the lid tab to tear apart the first sides of the base and lid along the joint line (30). Thereafter, the lid can be easily closed and reopened on the base.

Abstract: A leakage containment device for containing leakage from an oil tank supplying oil to a heating system includes a container including a bottom wall and a perimeter wall being coupled to and extending upwardly from the bottom wall to define an interior space. An upper edge of the perimeter wall defines an upper open end of the container to permit an oil tank to be placed in the interior space. A lid is hingedly coupled to the upper edge of the perimeter wall. The lid selectively closes the upper open end of the container when the lid is in a closed position over the upper open end. The lid is pivoted away from the upper open end to permit access to the upper open end.

Abstract: A food package has a container and a lid. The lid includes a planar surface and a convex dome that is above the planar surface. A transparent window in the convex dome attracts the attention of consumers since it is raised relative to the remainder of the lid. The lid also includes a concave dome that frames a raised logo or raised text within the dome. By framing the logo, the concave dome helps to direct a consumer's attention to the logo or text and helps to protect the logo or text from wear.

Abstract: In an exemplary embodiment, a transparent sterilization, storage, display and transportation (SSDT) system and device for sterilizing medical instrument trays with instruments is provided. The system includes a plurality of SSDT devices that are selectively vertically and horizontally stackable. Each SSDT device comprises a transparent filtered lid (TFL) assembly configured to provide a transparent interior chamber within which the medical instrument trays and the instruments are sterilized, stored, displayed and transported. The TFL includes a plurality of exterior lid interconnectors. Each SSDT device also includes a configurable filtered base carriage (CFBC) assembly configured to latch and seal a bottom edge of the TFL assembly.

Abstract: An improvement to a container of the type that includes a vacuum formed transparent base and lid, the container having opposite sides that each forms a base flap (20) and a lid flap (22) that lie adjacent and parallel to each other, wherein the container indicates if it has been opened after a store clerk has loaded food into the container. An indicator sheet (34) lies between the base and lid and has cut-out characters (60) lying in holes (62) of a carrier (64), the carrier being bonded to the base flap and the characters being bonded to the lid flap. The container is opened by a person pulling up the lid flap, with the characters lifting out of their holes as they move up with the lid flap, and with the carrier that forms the character holes remaining on the base flap. When the lid is closed by pressing down the lid flap against the base flap, there will be some misalignment of the characters with the holes that they previously lay in, creating gaps that are readily noticeable.

Abstract: A window having multiple integral seals, the window being formed of a substantially optically transparent flexible membrane window panel; a substantially continuous peripheral window seal mechanism surrounding the window panel with the window seal mechanism being a continuous peripheral slot having an opening facing away from the window panel and being structured to receive thereinto a substantially rigid inner peripheral window aperture frame; a contoured skirt completely surrounding the window sealing mechanism; a substantially continuous peripheral door seal mechanism formed adjacent to an edge of the contoured skirt; and wherein the window panel, the window seal mechanism, the contoured skirt and the door seal mechanism are mutually integrally formed of a substantially water-resistant and resiliently pliable material.

Abstract: An embodiment of the invention provides for an assembly for securing equipment to a tank. The assembly comprises a base, a split ring, and a clamp. The base comprises a tank engagement portion, a base aperture, a lip positioned along a perimeter of the base aperture, and a first mating surface. The split ring is arranged to be at least partially positionable within the base. The split ring comprises a split ring aperture and a second mating surface in contact with the first mating surface when the split ring is partially positioned within the base. The clamp is positionable to hold the first mating surface in contact with the second mating surface. The clamp comprises a clamp aperture, a first contact surface, and a second contact surface. When the clamp is positioned to hold the mating surfaces in contact, the first contact surface contacts the base, and the second contact surface contacts the split ring.
