Abstract: A modular shelter system includes a floor panel having a first curved surface along a lateral edge on a top side of the floor panel and a first inside surface located inside of the first curved surface. The modular shelter system additionally includes a wall panel having a second curved surface along a bottom end of the wall panel, wherein the second curved surface is configured to rotate relative to the first curved surface, and wherein the second curved surface is configured to mate with the first curved surface. The wall panel further has a second inside surface located inside of the second curved surface, wherein the second inside surface is configured to mate with the first inside surface when the wall panel is erected over the floor panel.

Abstract: A method of joining panels for a vitrine is disclosed. The ends of the panels to be joined are mitered cut and bonded with a suitable adhesive providing adequate adhesion and transparency. The joints are formed to provide a wedge-shape bond gap sufficient to allow application of the adhesive from the outside of the gap through capillary action. The adhesive may be catalyzed or ultraviolet- or light-hardened.

Abstract: A container for transporting and storing or presenting goods includes a bottom, a first side wall segment articulated to the bottom and which can be folded about a folding axis parallel to the bottom between a first folding position and a second folding position, and at least one second side wall segment, which is articulated to a side edge of the first side wall segment and which can be pivoted about a pivoting axis perpendicular to the bottom between a first pivoting position pivoted laterally away from the first side wall segment and a second pivoting position. The first side wall segment and/or the second side wall segment have at least one angled side border segment on the side edges facing each other and the two side wall segments are articulated to each other.

Abstract: A method is provided for lowering a tailgate of a motor vehicle when that motor vehicle is hitched to a trailer having a component that interferes with the lowering of the tailgate. The method comprises the steps of displacing a section of the tailgate to form a clearance opening in the tailgate, folding the tailgate into a lowered position and accommodating the component of the trailer in the clearance opening when the tailgate is folded and lowered. Various tailgate assemblies for performing the method are also disclosed.

Abstract: An extension frame for a transport box or a pallet includes two long sides, and two collapsible transverse sides. An angle piece is formed on one of the transverse sides or on one of the long sides, with the angle piece having a free end forming a hinge with a free end of an adjacent long side or transverse side. The hinge has in the open state and the collapsed state a locking position in which the long side and the adjacent transverse side are engageable.

Abstract: The present invention provides a collapsible foam shipping cooler and a process for producing the collapsible cooler. The collapsible cooler includes a linear series of attached side panel sections where each of the adjacent side panel sections are separated by a V groove formed by 45° beveled cuts made in a ends of each of the sections, and an adhesive tape flexible hinge is attached on the side of the panels opposite the V groove. The series of attached side panel sections is movable between a collapsed storage mode and an assembled mode where the series of sections are arranged to form a closed rectangular loop with top and bottom perimeter edges. Top and bottom foam panels contact the top and bottom edges of the closed loop to form a closed insulated cooler which is matingly received in a conventional corrugated box shipping container.

In one embodiment is provided a container comprising: a plurality of side walls configured to provide a collapsible container, where each side wall is in operable communication with two other side walls; two foldable flaps in operable communication with each side wall; and at least one securing strip in operable communication with at least one of the foldable flaps, where the securing strip provides structure for releasable attachment with three different side walls and for securing four of the flaps in a closed position to form a container bottom or top.
