The tank is alternatively formed by injection molding substrate material around the core of a mold which is partially or fully covered by the liner material, and by injecting liner material into the mold to bond it to the tank base substrate in conjunction with retracting part or all of the core, to provide space in the mold for the liner material.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a disposable bioreactor including a headplate and a stirrer. The headplate has at least one inlet port aperture and one outlet port aperture formed therein and is adapted to couple sealingly with a bag capable of receiving a culture medium. The stirrer is coupled to and extends from the headplate and is adapted to stir the culture medium when the headplate is coupled to the bag. The bioreactor is adapted to fit within the upper opening of the stand of an existing conventional glass bioreactor, so that the bag is suspended within the vessel.

Abstract: A paint cup assembly for a paint sprayer is disclosed and can include a cap, a paint liner defining a closed proximal end and an open distal end, and a ring configured to fit around the paint liner. The ring can engage the cap and secure the paint liner to the cap. Further, the ring can include an axial extension that can extend toward the proximal end of the paint liner such that the ring can be configured to allow a user to grasp the paint cup assembly without collapsing the paint liner during attachment with a paint sprayer.

Abstract: A film-supporting device is used with a waste-disposal unit. The device comprises an annular body. The annular body has an annular wall. The inward radial surface of the wall defines a central opening of the body. The outline of the central opening in a transverse plane of the device has variable diametrical dimensions with a first diameter of greater dimension than the second diameter. The outline has two of the first diameter of generally equal dimension and two of the second diameter of generally equal dimension. The device has tubular film about an outward radial surface of the annular body. A free annular end is dispensed outwardly from the annular wall. The free annular end is closed to form a bag. The opening of the bag is accessible through the central opening and is of optimized shape via the central opening for the disposal of waste. A method for disposing of waste on a scooping tool is also provided.

Abstract: A wastebasket for facilitating reuse of plastic shopping bags includes a first, open topped receptacle; a second receptacle, sized and shaped to receive therein the first receptacle; and a lid. The first, open topped receptacle may be formed unitary with the second receptacle or the first, open topped receptacle may be removable from the second receptacle. The first, open topped receptacle and the second receptacle are cooperatively adapted to form a bag storage compartment generally within the second receptacle and about the outside, upper portions of the first receptacle. The lid is cooperatively adapted with the first, open topped receptacle and the second receptacle to form an aesthetically pleasing closure for the bag storage compartment while simultaneously providing an also aesthetically pleasing opening to the interior space of the first, open topped receptacle.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a container for containing a liquid or pasty material which is combined with a system for collecting and dispensing without taking in air, said container being rigid and comprising a flexible bag which contains the material to be dispensed and which is combined with the collecting system. The bag is produced separately from the rigid container and consists of an overall cylindrical reservoir which is open at the top portion thereof and which is divided into four areas defined by a rigid upper sidewall, a flexible deformable lower sidewall, a fillet connecting the flexible side wall to a base.

Abstract: A waste container for disposing sanitary waste, such as soiled diapers, comprises a canister having a storage space, an opening at an upper end and a bottom at a lower end. A retainer frame is pivotally attached to the canister and has an aperture for inserting a trash bag through the aperture and folding an upper edge of the trash bag over the retainer frame. A retainer is pivotally attached to the canister and has a rim that inserts into the aperture of the retainer frame to retain the trash bag. A lid having a hole which aligns with the aperture of the retainer frame is pivotally attached to the canister for allowing the lid to pivot between a closed position covering the opening and an open position. A slid door is coupled to the lid and is slidable between a closed position and an open position.

Abstract: A container for holding a collapsible food pouch that includes a hard-plastic bottom segment forming an elongated concave dish and a rotatably attached top segment. The top end of the bottom segment and optionally the top end of the top segment has a slot sized to receive a plastic discharge tube of the collapsible food pouch such that when the pouch's pliant material is placed below the top end, the discharge port of the pouch is positioned outside the top end of hard-plastic bottom segment. When the top segment is rotated closed, the top segment engages the plastic neck to hold it within the slot. The top segment may have two doors. A loop of hard plastic may serve as a tethering point and a lock may lock the container closed. Vent holes permit entry of air into the container.

Abstract: A container includes a body, a liner attached to the interior of the body, a lid dimensioned to attached to the top of the liner, and a perimeter seal attached to the lid. The lid includes a hole and the perimeter seal includes a region dimensioned to create a friction fit when disposed in the hole. Each of the body, the liner, and the lid may include a paper pulp coated with a biodegradable, organically derived, plastic resin. Methods of constructing the container are also disclosed.

Abstract: At least one embodiment of the invention relates to a container for a product for dispensing, including a relatively stiff outer container having at least one dispensing opening, and a deformable inner container to be filled with the product which is accommodated in the outer container and which likewise has a dispensing opening. The inner container is connected to the outer container both in the vicinity of the dispensing opening and at least at one location remote therefrom. The connection is formed in that the outer container has an opening through which protrudes at least one fixing element connected to the inner container. This fixing element is pin-like and has an end part of which the dimensions are larger than those of the opening. At least one embodiment of the invention further relates to a method for manufacturing such a container.

Abstract: The multiple compartmented and condiment dispensing apparatus includes a housing into which a plurality of packet compartments are arranged. The packet compartments open to enable a refill packet to be inserted and loaded for use in dispensing a condiment therefrom. The packet compartments are each in fluid communication with a spout provided on a distal end of the housing. The spout includes a plurality of channels that each connects via ductwork to the packet compartments where the refill packets connect. The refill packets dispense a condiment through the respective ductwork and out a channel of the spout. Each packet compartment includes a loader door that is pivotally engaged with respect to the housing, and which can open outwardly to enable the refill packets to be inserted and removed from the respective packet compartment.

The liner has a bottom wall (24), a top rim (25), and a cylindrical side wall (26) made of flexible material. The liner side wall has an exterior surface (27) and an interior surface (28). The liner top rim has a positioning flange (29) extending to an attachment lip (30) configured to fit about the drum top edge and within the drum lid lip. The liner side wall is heat sealed to the top rim positioning flange. The bottom wall is also heat sealed to the bottom margin of the liner side wall.

Abstract: A reinforced container system comprises a container having a bottom wall, a pair of opposite side walls, a pair of opposite end walls, and opposed pairs of diagonal corner panels interposed between adjacent side and end walls to form an interior space. The bottom wall includes two opposed glue panels each of which is foldably joined to respective longitudinal edges of the bottom wall and each of which attached to the respective side walls. A protective sleeve is configured to detachably attach to the container. The protective sleeve includes two side walls, two end walls and opposed pairs of diagonal corner walls interposed between adjacent side and end walls. The side walls, the end walls and the diagonal corner walls are joined to one another along four vertical hinges to whereby protect the container against tremendous forces and inertia caused by mixing or shaking machinery.

Abstract: An improved receptacle liner bag is formed of two layers of thin flexible stretchable plastic sheets which are sealed along the sides and bottom, but are unsealed along the top of the bag. The sheets are die-cut to form a framed opening which defines a band between the sides and the top of the bag. When the bag is placed in the receptacle, the band may be disposed around the outside of the sides of the receptacle and stretched over the base of the receptacle so as to provide a hold-down for the bag in the receptacle. The sheets may be perforated along a line below the framed opening. The line, when opened, forms an auxiliary band which can be stretched over and placed behind a hinge of a lid of the receptacle to secure the back of the liner bag in the receptacle.

Abstract: A shipping container liner system for use in the shipping of bulk flowable products is described. The system comprises a specially adapted shipping container liner that is self-supporting without the need of rear-mounted rigid supportive bars to retain the liner within the shipping container during filling and discharge. The system comprises an arrangement of interior support baffles operating in conjunction with a plurality of exterior anchor straps adapted to distribute the cargo load throughout the length of the liner. A specialized hopper for unloading the bulk material is also disclosed.

Abstract: Systems and methods for facilitating hygienic storage and disposal of waste packages such as used disposable diapers include a housing, a lid, and a bag unit having a bag frame and an attached single use flexible bag. The flexible bag is pleated and larger in cross-section at a lower portion than it is at the connection to the bag frame. The bag frame is releasably mounted to the housing so that it will not rotate. The lower portion of the flexible bag is positioned in a storage chamber of the housing that is shaped so as to align and center the bag. A rotatable member having radially extending flexible fingers is engaged with an intermediate portion of the bag. When the lid is closed, the rotatable member will twist the intermediate portion of the bag, sealing odors in the lower portion of the bag. A parent or caregiver will push the waste package through the resistance of the twisted intermediate portion into the lower portion of the bag, and close the lid to re-seal the twisted portion.

Abstract: A cassette (3) for dispensing bags from an elongated tubing (32) comprising an annular receptacle (38) accommodating a length of tubing (32) in an accumulated condition. An annular opening at an upper end of the annular receptacle (38) is for dispensing the tubing (32). The annular receptacle (38) defines a central opening (34) through which a knotted end (40) of the tubing (32) passes to form a bag supported by the annular receptacle (38) with disposable objects passing through the circular central opening (34) to be received in the bag, and a clearance (41) only at a bottom of the central opening (34).

A downward projection on the covering device, the downward projection adapted to have at least a tip thereof positioned lower than an uppermost edge of the bag unit, and inward of an outermost edge of the bag unit in the inner cavity of the bin. A method for inserting a bag unit in the bin is also provided.

An actuator handle actuates movement of the drum.

An outer rim of the holder is connected to the cradle and separated from the cavity.

The assembly includes a container having a top mounted handle and recesses and projections to facilitate piling. The lower portion has recesses and projections that match the upper recesses and projections when piled up among several units. The container has a partial cutout with a contoured opening so that a vane-like inner part can be placed thereupon. A bag is placed inside the container, on the vane, and has a nozzle that can fit an opening in the front wall of the container. The nozzle has a tubular configuration, allowing a plug to tightly fit inside. The assembly has a tap with a free end having side windows to let the water in. The plug and the head can be coupled to each other when the tap is inserted into the nozzle.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a container (1) having a hollow shell defining a body with a dispensing aperture, and a bag (4) within the shell (2), the open end of the bag extending through the dispensing aperture and being secured with respect to the outside of the shell. The bag (4) is made from a material suitable for containing the intended contents of the container (1). Therefore the shell (2) may be formed from a material that would not be suitable for containing the intended contents of the container alone. The shell (2) may be formed from a biodegradable material, such as wood or paper pulp. The bag (4) may be separated from the main body of the container to allow for separate disposal. The container (1) may be sealed by providing a spout through which the contents of the container are to be dispensed, and by folding the spout over to create a nip which seals the container.

The body portion has a trash container support provided at the lower end thereof which extends inwardly therefrom for supporting a trash container thereon. When the body portion is in its closed position, the trash container is positioned within the waste receptacle. When the body portion is pivotally moved outwardly with respect to the receptacle, the trash container moves outwardly from within the waste receptacle to a position outwardly thereof to facilitate removal of the trash container from the trash container support on the lower end of the body portion.

The tank comprises an outer shell (2) that defines an interior of the tank, at least one water catchment bag (48) located in the tank interior, at least one inlet (19) in the outer shell for passage of water into the bag (s), and at least one outlet (21) in the outer shell for passage of water from the bag(s). A base for supporting a water storage tank is also disclosed. The base defines a pallet on which either the other components of the tank in assembled form or kit form can be transported from a manufacturing location to an end-use location.

The present invention in the preferred form relates to the use of a substantially rigid outlet (20) in the flexible liner (12) that is received in a tank aperture (22) when the liner (12) is correctly installed in the tank (14).

Abstract: An apparatus for packing disposable objects or material into an elongated tube of flexible material. The apparatus defines a bin having a holder adapted to receive a cassette of flexible unfoldable material. A closing mechanism is positioned below the holder. The closing mechanism includes first and second portions. The second portion is biased in a closed position against the first. The second portion has a receiving surface and is slidable from the closed position to an open position through the application of a substantially downward force against the receiving surface and is slidable from the open position to the closed position under the action of a biasing force. The closing mechanism in the open position defines a passage between a top opening of the bin and a bottom portion of the enclosure, and in the closed position closes the passage.
