Abstract: A cigarette urn and method of assembly of same that defines an interior passage for smoking debris to travel when multiple components of the urn are assembled into a self-standing, upright assembly condition. A top one of the multiple components has a sidewall opening. The multiple components may be disassembled from the self-standing, upright assembly condition into an overlapping assembly condition with the multiple components overlapping and taking up less overall volume that in the self-standing, upright assembly condition. A fire retardant or heat resistant material may be lining an interior contour of a base of the multiple components. The top one of the multiple components may be of substantially uniform diameter along a majority of its length.

Abstract: A receptacle for spent smoking material has a modular construction and can include a base, a lid, a neck, and a head. The base and the lid define a chamber for containing the spent smoking material. The lid can be removably connected to the base through the rotative engagement of corresponding lugs on the base and the lid. The neck can be assembled to the lid using a one-way connector mechanism. The head can be assembled to the neck using a one-way connector mechanism. The head portion has an orifice therein for receiving spent smoking materials, which can be directed through the neck to the chamber. A bucket can be provided in the chamber to receive the spent smoking materials.

Abstract: A disposal unit for discarded smoking products has, a lower tubular section mounted on a base, an upper tubular section with an interior partition to form a closed-bottom receptacle for the discarded smoking products, a removable cap covering an open end of the upper tubular section, and the cap and tubular sections are detachable from one another for emptying the receptacle.

Abstract: A receptacle for receiving smoking waste includes a canister and a cap disposed on the canister. The cap includes a flow-inhibiting surface for affecting gas flow into the canister and a container member forming a containing area disposed horizontally inward of the flow-inhibiting surface for receiving smoke rising from the collection area. The cap can have at least one snuffing area for snuffing smoking material and at least one depositing area for depositing smoking waste into the canister. The opening for depositing smoking waste can allow for 360 degrees access to the user.

Abstract: The container for disposal of cigarette waste includes a base, a hollow stem having an outer wall that contains an interior cavity of the hollow stem. The stem further includes a top and a bottom, where the stem is coupled to the base at the bottom. The container also includes a removable cap which is detachably coupled to the top of the stem. It further includes a disposal bucket attached to the cap. Once the cap is coupled to the top of the stem, the disposal bucket is suspended in the interior cavity of the stem. At least one hole is made through the outer wall of the stem near the top. Once the disposal bucket is placed in the interior cavity of the stem, the hole is located between disposal bucket and the cap.

Abstract: A disposable, fireproof receptacle for combustible debris for use in a cigarette receptacle is disclosed. The liner may be made from a metallic foil or other inexpensive, fire resistant material. The liner may be used in combination with or without a pail inside the receptacle. The metallic foil makes the liner resistant to fire and is inexpensive enough to also be disposable. When filled with debris the liner can be removed and sealed to allow convenient, safe disposal of the grimy and potentially hot debris inside the liner.

Abstract: The present invention is a battery powered, portable microprocessor based early warning alarming ashtray. It provides the smoker two different time limited unattended cigarette alarms, as well an alarm for a tipped ashtray; an alarm for a bumped ashtray; an alarm based on nearby or lower elevation smoke by either of the two smoke detection devices; and a low power alarm. It offers “full protection” for most of the likely scenarios encountered by smokers that could result in a fire. Emptying of the ashtray by tipping overrides and disables the tipping alarm momentarily. Since the apparatus is microprocessor controlled, the timing intervals and magnitude of the different alarm notifications can be preprogramed as well as the sensitivity of the smoke detector devices.

Abstract: The invention is directed to a lockable ashtray comprising a cover defining at least one aperture therein, a hinge connecting the cover to a lower section. The cover is reversibly locked to the lower section or the cylinder shaped vessel. A Tray for holding cigarette butts is located out of sight beneath the cover. The at least one aperture has a diameter or width sufficiently small to hinder an adult or child intent on removing cigarette butts from the ashtray. In another embodiment the cover defining at least one aperture is attached to a cylinder shaped vessel having an inner lining defining an internal cavity at least partly filled with a bottom layer of immobile material and an upper layer of nonflammable material.

The container can include a container body and flow-inhibiting structure disposed within the container body to inhibit smoke from leaving the container body. The container can includes a first wall extending substantially vertically, a first insertion opening in the first wall that allows smoking waste to be inserted into the container, and a first snuff member disposed within the container and adjacent the first insertion opening at a position that permits smoking waste that has been inserted into the first insertion opening to be pushed against the first snuff member.

As debris is received through the side portal, it is directed along the throat passage and into the receptacle chamber for collection.

Abstract: A molded plastic repository for spent smoking materials having separate base and column pieces with connecting portions which are connected for use by a connector which engages the connecting portions. The base and column are molded as a single piece then severed in a plane so as to provide similar connecting portions in relation to the severing plane. The method of fabricating and assembly provides a savings in storing and shipping the repository.

Abstract: A portable repository for discarded smoking products and incidental trash consisting of a hollow body having a closed upper surface and a pivotable bottom member providing a variable degree of closure for the lower surface, the bottom member normally providing a recessed cavity. An aperture is provided near the upper end to access the cavity for trash deposit having an appended ledge for butt snuffing and perforations in the sidewall for tying the repository to a support post.

Abstract: An ashtray assembly ashtray assembly adapted to be fixedly mounted to a wall of a building having a tube-like ashtray with a projection and an alignment fin, a locking nut, and a mounting bracket. The mounting bracket has an elongated vertical slot through it sized to receive the ashtray projection and a coaxial elongated slot on its back surface sized to receive the locking nut. An alignment slot is located on the top surface of the mounting bracket. The projection is inserted through the first elongated vertical slot from the front surface of the mounting bracket and the locking nut is positioned over the projection from the rear surface of the mounting bracket and into the second elongated vertical slot. The assembly is then mounted to a wall or structure. In use, the alignment fin is in the alignment slot to prevent rotation of the assembly.

Abstract: A cigarette litter bin is provided that includes a mounting element and a receiver element. The receiver is in use, attached to the mounting element by a number of projecting formations engaging with a number of apertures. A biasing means biases the receiver away from the mounting element. The advantage of the bin is that it is faster to remove and replace the receiver from/onto the mounting element than know cigarette litter bins.

Abstract: A multiple-purpose container including: a cup-like container having at least a groove longitudinally formed in a side wall of the container; a convertible tray detachably securable on an upper portion of the container having a central opening and a plurality of holes formed in the tray; and a hanger member fixed on a wall of a building, a table, a car and a fixture and having an extension formed on the hanger member to be slidably engageable with the groove recessed in the container, whereby upon coupling of the container on the hanger member, the container will serve as an ash tray, a pen holder, a cup, a flower vase or a garbage container; and upon uncoupling of the container from the hanger member, the container will be free moved or handled.
