  • Patent number: 11072484
Abstract: A portable cooler configured to have an outer housing and an inner compartment disposed in the interior volume of the outer housing. A void is present intermediate the outer housing and the inner compartment. An insulating sheet material comprised of a first layer and a second layer is circumferentially disposed around the inner compartment within the void. The insulating material is wound around the inner compartment at least twice and includes a void intermediate each wound. The insulating material first layer is manufactured from aluminum faced ceramic cloth and the second layer of the insulating material is manufactured from a flexible mica sheet. The insulating material has a first end secured to an inner surface of the outer housing and a second end secured to an outer surface of the inner compartment. The cooler further includes a hingedly mounted lid.

  • Patent number: 10722427
Abstract: A case includes a pocket for hermitically storing medical device(s) and medicine. The case may include a manual or motorized pump that can generate vacuum pressure within the pocket to thermally insulate the pocket from the atmosphere to minimize temperature fluctuations within the pocket. The case may also include a cooling and/or heating system to control the temperature within the pocket within a desired range to prolonging the potency and the life expectancy of the drug, such as epinephrine, stored within the pocket. The case may also be equip with a communication device that can link with user's mobile device so that in case of an emergency, the communication device can alert the mobile device, which can then notify emergency personal for assistance.

  • Patent number: 10351326
Abstract: Thermally-stabilizing pellets are used in a contents container to stabilize the temperature at which temperature sensitive contents are stored in the container. The pellets provide a thermal buffer between the stored contents and the environment outside the contents container that retards the rate of temperature change of the stored contents. The stored contents do not experience the extremes in temperature variation within a passive or active thermally insulated container when at least partially buried in the pellets. The pellets can also help isolate the stored contents from phase change materials that could thermally damage the stored contents with physical contact.

  • Patent number: 8474649
Abstract: A serving dish, such as in the form of a bowl is provided including an upper receptacle and a lower enclosure. The upper receptacle, in the form of a basin, supports a food item to be served frozen, such as ice cream. The lower enclosure, in the form of a stand, includes an interior containing a thermal mass therein. Materials forming the basin have a higher than average thermal conductivity, to relatively rapidly conduct heat away from chilled food items served within the basin. The thermal mass within the interior of the stand has a higher than average specific heat. When the stand and included thermal mass are pre-chilled, large amounts of heat can be rapidly conducted from food items within the basin, down into the thermal mass. Food items served within the basin of the bowl can thus be kept frozen during a serving period.
