The container protector may also include one or more handle extension to facilitate use with a container having one or more handles. The container protector is designed to sealing fit around the top periphery of a container with the interior lip extending upward to prevent material within the container from flowing outward therefrom during transitions. Such transitions may be caused by heating, transportation, or other disturbances. The precise dimensions of the container protector will vary from one embodiment to the next, and the container protector may take any shape depending on the container for which it is designed.

Abstract: An edge protector for disposition along an angled edge of an article includes a pair of interior walls; the walls being integrally joined in angular relation to one another at an interior edge when the angle edge protector is in an in-use configuration disposed along the angled edge of the article; a first exterior wall connected to an end of one of the pair of interior walls; and, a first arcuate wall having a first end integrally joined with the first exterior wall, the first arcuate wall having a curvature such that a second end of the first arcuate wall is proximate the interior edge when the angle edge protector is in the in-use configuration. Preferably, there are two arcuate portions, and the edge protector is symmetrical.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a box (10) for storing, transporting, and protecting vertically suspended containers with an upper opening (11), a rectangular bottom (12), lower side walls (13) connected to said bottom (12), and a step (14) connected to said lower side walls (13) and forming a bearing for supporting a plate (15). Said box (10) includes upper side walls (16) connected to said step (14), and each comprises at least one portion (17; 43) extending to the end of the box, each of said upper side walls also being connected to an upper edge (22) extending outside the box. An edge (20) is positioned on the upper corners (21) of said box (10). The present invention also relates to a container for transporting such boxes and to a method for palletizing and depalletizing said boxes.

Abstract: Food serving pans made from heat conductive materials include a gasket positioned over a flange to protect fingers from heat or cold, improve gripping ability, seal against countertops of food serving tables, and/or protect paint or non stick coating from chipping off the flange. The food pan is made from aluminum or other highly heat conductive material. The gasket comprises silicone or other heat resistant and insulating elastomer. A food serving system includes one or more food pans and a food serving table. The food pans maintain food at a desired temperature by efficiently transferring heat or cold from the serving table while the gasket seals against a countertop of the serving table. The gasket can be provided in a kit of differently sized and/or shaped gaskets so as to fit over differently sized and/or shaped pan flanges. A user can install and replace the gasket as needed.

Abstract: Edge protector for protecting the edge of a lobster trap or other type of wire-mesh enclosure. The edge protector is a split tube with transverse openings cut into it at intervals that correspond to intersecting bars of a mesh material. The tube snaps over one bar and the intersecting bars extend outward through the transverse openings. The edge protector serves as a shock-absorbing bumper, prevents deformation of the wire-mesh enclosure, and also prevents damage to the plastic coating that protects the wire mesh.

Abstract: A vessel centering system comprises a vessel, an annular spacer member, a fastening element, and a first magnetic element. The vessel includes an outer surface and a vessel groove formed on a circumference of the vessel outer surface. The spacer member is fitted in the vessel groove and extends outwardly with respect to the vessel. The first and second lateral end surfaces define a spacing therebetween. The spacer member includes a tangential bore extending along a line generally tangential to a curvature of the spacer member. The fastening element, which could be a screw, is disposed in the tangential bore in engagement with the ring member and extends across the ring spacing. The first magnetic element is supported by or enclosed within the spacer member. A vessel plate with a vessel mounting aperture is structured to accommodate the mounting or installation of the vessel. A second magnetic element is supported by the vessel plate.

Abstract: A vessel centering system comprises a vessel, an annular, spacer member, a fastening element, and an elastometric component. The vessel includes an outer surface and a vessel groove formed on a circumference of the vessel outer surface. The spacer member is fitted in the vessel groove and extends outwardly with respect to the vessel. The first and second lateral end surfaces define a spacing therebetween. The spacer member includes a tangential bore and an annular groove. The tangential bore extends along a line generally tangential to a curvature of the spacer member. The fastening element, which could be a screw, is disposed in the tangential bore in engagement with the ring member and extends across the ring spacing. The elastometric component, which could be a gasket or O-ring, is disposed in the annular groove. A plurality of biased bearings can be provided instead of the elastometric component.

Abstract: A packaging box comprising a cardboard bottom and a transparent lid removably mounted on the opening of the bottom. The lid comprises a convex portion facing inside the box and cooperating with the opening of the bottom and at least two flaps articulating on opposite edges of the lid. Each overlapping at least partly a side face of the bottom. The flaps each comprise at least locking elements cooperating with complementary locking elements provided in one side face of the bottom or with complementary locking elements born by the other flap auxiliary flaps articulated on the other edges of the lid. The invention is applicable to the packaging of food products.

Abstract: A packaging carton comprising a bottom wall (3) surrounded by a side wall and an openable and closable cover (4) hinged to the side wall (2). The side wall consists of an insert (2), and the cover (4) and the bottom wall (3) includes two surfaces, each of which is hinged toa connecting portion (5) to form a three-panel assembly. The surfaces (3, 4) include abutment members (6, 7) engaging the inner and/or outer rim of the respective edge of the insert (2), and separable closure means are built into the three-panel assembly and/or the insert (2), or inserted after the carton has been closed. The carton is useful for packaging food.

Abstract: A dust bin of the type comprising a container having a top opening covered with a removable cover, wherein said container has a flat, hollow chamber separately vertically disposed at the inside for receiving said cover when said cover is not in use, and two bolts at two opposite locations for releasably mounting said cover through hooked-joint permitting said cover to be rotated on said two bolts to close or open said top opening. A chemical case which has aromatic compounds or deodorant contained therein is attached to the container to fit flush with the bottom edge of the bottom projection which projecting from the bottom of the container.

Abstract: A flange assembly of a molded plastic container which is multi-sided. Each side terminates at its upper edge in the flange assembly and the flange assembly includes an inner support flange to which a closure may be bonded. Outwardly of the support flange is an upstanding shock absorbing bead which additionally functions to center the closure on the container. The bead includes an inner leg which is integrally connected to the support flange and an outer leg with the inner leg being joined to the outer leg by a deformable bight portion. When dropped on the side, the package formed of the closed container will have the shock of the impact of striking a surface, such as a floor, absorbed by the deformation of the bead.
