  • Patent number: 7722839
Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided to rapidly thaw and heat frozen bags of biological materials, such as plasma. The apparatus has a hollow bladder having a flexible wall that is placed in contact with the bag. A circulation system draws fluid from a reservoir and fills the bladder with the fluid. The circulation system also drains fluid from the bladder. A heater in the reservoir heats the fluid before the fluid enters the bladder. As heated fluid flows through the bladder, heat is transferred through the bladder wall to the plasma bag to thaw the biological material. The bladder wall expands against the plasma bag as the bladder fills with fluid, and contracts from the plasma bag as the bladder is drained. The expansion and contraction of the bladder wall agitates the plasma bag and biological material to accelerate the thawing process.

Abstract: The present invention is a containment tank or a generator set including an outer tank and an inner flexible tank that offers a storage area for diesel fuel for a diesel engine powered generator set. So that the generator set diesel engine have ready source of clean diesel fuel the inner flexible tank provides a corrosion-free storage area that will not corrode or contaminate the diesel fuel. The outer tank is designed to provide a structure that not only protects the inner tank from damage, but acts as a support structure for the diesel engine generator set and other components (enclosure, switchgear, etc.) that are needed for the generator sets protection from wind, rain or snow or to act as control devices for diesel engine generator set. Also, since the design of the inner tank is flexible, it can be replaced easily through a manway formed on the outer tank without having to disconnect or disassemble the generator set.

Two sides of the stiff board are provided with locking members. Thereby, after the storage bag contains an article and is vacumed, two lateral sections of the stiff board are folded upward to form two sidewalls. The storage bag is then placed into the storage box. Since the combined storage apparatus is boxy and of tough structure, a plurality of them can be stacked up so as to save storage space.

Abstract: The present invention teaches that air may be injected into the sloping bottom of a bulk dry particulate cargo container (micron-sized through quarry-sized dry particulate) accompanied by traditional conveyance-variety pneumatic air, causing the bulk dry particulate cargo to enter a bi-phase state having an air matrix with particulate inclusions. The result of this air lubrication is a dramatically reduced coefficient of friction. This bi-phase material may be extremely fluid, easily exiting a discharge port without regard to normal bulk dry particulate friction or angle of repose. The present invention also teaches a cargo container having a plurality of air injectors on the sloping bottom of a particulate plenum and having air supply apparatus feeding the air injectors.
