Abstract: A cup holder sidewall having a sidewall including a pair of recesses situated on opposite sides of a vertical midline, each of the recesses including at least one socket portion. A pair of handle elements adapted to be received wholly within the pair of recesses in the sidewall, each of the handle elements including at least one socket engaging portion received in the at least one socket portion of one of the recesses. The socket engaging portions being pivotable within the socket portions so as to permit the handle elements to be displaced from within the sidewall recesses to a position projecting outward from the sidewall sufficiently to permit the pair of handle elements to be grasped in one hand.

Abstract: Pinhole detection is achieved when pinholes happen to develop near stoppers used to fit a handle. A biaxially drawn synthetic resin bottle has a recessed portion, and a synthetic resin handle, fitted in an undercut engagement to the recessed portion by insert molding. The handle comprises upper and lower fitting arms disposed at a grip in a vertically long plate shape. Both arms extend forward from the grip. A stopper extends upward from a front end of the upper fitting arm, and a stopper extends upward and/or downward from a front end of the lower fitting arm. A ridge or groove is formed extending rearward of a stopper of either arm, along a top surface of the upper fitting arm or along a top surface and/or an underside surface of the lower fitting arm. A connecting passage for air release is formed along the ridge/groove.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a lid for a vessel has a generally planar body with top side and bottom side, a handle receptacle extending below the bottom side of the generally planar body, and a grasping portion of a handle adapted to fit within the handle receptacle which is rotatably movable between two configurations. In a fully extended configuration, the grasping portion of the handle rises above the top side of the generally planar body of the lid. In a fully retracted configuration, the grasping portion of the handle is fully beneath the generally planar body of the top side of the lid. A combined height of the lid and the vessel, when the lid is engaged with the vessel, may be at least 23.8% less when in the fully retracted configuration compared to the fully extended configuration.

Abstract: A container includes a sealing system coupled to an interior surface of the container's lid or cover. The sealing system includes a rotatable latch that, when rotated, cooperates with a number of gears to and a cam assembly formed in the lid to actuate a number of arms or links. In one embodiment, some of the arms extend approximately radially from a driven gear and operate to move an engagement member of the sealing assembly into contact with a complementary engagement member coupled to a base portion of the container. This engagement, in turn, compresses a seal or gasket located between the lid portion and the base portion of the container.

Abstract: A refuse carrying device with a variety of handling features includes a container, an attachable secondary handle, an attachable wheel assembly, and a shoulder resting recess. The durable container has an open top adapted for receiving refuse. Opposing sides of a top edge of the container include a pair of handles. The selectably attachable secondary side handle and the selectably attachable wheel assembly are positioned along an outer lower perimeter edge of the container. The shoulder recess is an indentation along the lower perimeter edge opposite the secondary handle and includes an attachable padded cushion to line the recess. A user places the shoulder rest in contact with the shoulder and grips the secondary handle to carry the container upon the shoulder region.

The means for extending the handle comprising a pull-tab, tab-locks, hooks, or button releasing mechanisms known to those of skill in the art. A handle grip has a longitudinally extending opening. A portion of the wire handle is positioned radially within the opening. The handle grip has an outer surface with an elliptical cross sectional shape, and a plurality of laterally spaced and longitudinally extending ribs on the outer surface. The handle grip is preferably formed of an elastomeric material.

Abstract: The disclosed technology comprises cookware and other vessels (any item capable of non-permeable retention of liquid), such as pots and pans with rugged and collapsible handles which may decrease in length to be ? or less than their extended size and are usable in both a collapsed or an expanded state. Such handles, in embodiments of the disclosed technology, have covers or ends which, in a collapsed configuration of the handle, entirely cover most or all of the extendable portion of the handle, the covers usable as handles when collapsed. Individual links of the handle have inward flanges and protrusions adapted to keep the links from disconnecting, and fold into one another in a cascading manner, either becoming successively smaller, or being of equal overall size or width. Exterior notches on each link are used to keep the links from expanding and contracting into one another without lateral force applied.

Abstract: A waste container includes fixed handles integrally molded to an upper edge of the side wall. The waste container further includes a retractable handle pivotably mounted at a hinge at the upper edge of the side wall. The retractable handle is pivotable between an upright, use position above the fixed handles and a retracted position below the hinge adjacent the side wall. In this manner, the handle can be moved to the proper location for either pulling the waste container on its wheels or for emptying the waste container into the hopper of a truck.

The brush picks up dirt and debris from the floor and carries it, assisted by forced air flow, in an overhead motion and through a transfer duct to a pair of dirt containers in the form of buckets located side-by-side at the rear of the machine. A manual linkage at the rear of the machine moves a pivoted carrier frame which holds the dirt containers, between a raised use position in which the upper rims of the dirt containers are sealed to the machine for collection of debris, and a lowered access position for removal of the containers. Each container is independently accessible for emptying, and includes a bail-type handle pivotally attached such that a bucket, the opening of which faces forwardly and upwardly in the use position, extends generally horizontal when removed, to avoid spillage.

To use the lower handle, the handle can be urged from beneath the optional flange to extend outwardly from the container body. The optional upper handle is an elongated member with a grip mounted in the center. A total of three recesses in the exterior of the container body and three corresponding protuberances in the interior are used to stack multiple containers together.

Abstract: A bail grip for a pivotal bail of a bucket in which the bail has a pair of bail legs and a central hook with an inverted shape. The bail grip comprises an arcuate body that is installed onto the upper ends of the bail legs with the arc of the bail grip body conforming to a common curve or arc of the upper ends of the bail legs. When in place, the bail grip body does not completely close off a recess formed by the hook. Instead, a rear side of the bail grip body has a notch adjacent the recess such that a locking pin used on a wall bracket from which the bucket is hung is still able to pass downwardly through the recess and along the notch formed in the rear side of the bail grip body.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a bath apparatus having auxiliary features. The auxiliary features include a handle for providing ergonomic manual transportation of the bath apparatus. Additionally, improvements to conventional therapeutic effects are provided for enhancing the overall therapeutic bathing experience. Further, a bath apparatus is disclosed having a pedicure apparatus for providing a motorized rotary pedicure effect to the user. Even further, a bath apparatus having a fluid dispenser is disclosed for dispensing therapeutic additives.

Other elements improve the mobility of the hamper assembly, and secure the contents of both the hamper and its containers.

Abstract: A tool box is formed with two counter bores, and includes a handle formed with headed latches. Each of the counter bores has an upper enlarged section and a lower constricted section confined by an inward flange. Each of the headed latches includes an enlarged head received in the enlarged section of the respective counter bore, and a bifurcated shank having a pair of elastic legs that are respectively formed with barbed ends, and extending through the constricted section of the respective counter bore such that the flange is sandwiched between the enlarged head and the barbed ends of the elastic legs.

Abstract: A shroud for use in combination with a septic tank having an access opening and an access cover. The shroud surrounds the access opening and facilitates removal of the access cover covering the access opening and providing access to the septic tank. The shroud comprises a contiguous sidewall opened at first and second opposed ends thereof with an access passageway extending therebetween. A first open end of the shroud has an annular surface for abutting engagement with a top surface of a septic tank. A retaining member retains the annular surface, at the first end of the shroud, in abutting engagement with the top surface of the septic tank. A removable shroud cover seals the second open end of the shroud and the shroud cover, when removed from the second end of the shroud, facilitates access an interior cavity of the septic tank.

Abstract: An ashtray apparatus comprising a container, a cap member, and a handle assembly. The container includes a base and a surround member extending from the base. The base and surround member cooperate to define a cavity having an opening. The cap member is engageable with the container. The cap member and container cover at least a portion of the opening of the container. The cap member further includes a channel extending therethrough which permits communication with the cavity of the container. The handle assembly is releasably associable with at least one of the base and the cap member so that a user can selectively utilize the handle assembly.

The device includes a container member having an overlying lid and detachable handle assembly diametrically overlying the lid and forming a lever for tightening and loosening the lid. Releasable gripping members on the container wall, handle and lid permit manual separation of the handle and lid and supporting the container remote from a person's hand by one end portion of the handle.

Abstract: A wafer container is constructed to include a shell, a holder frame, two retaining blocks, and a handle. The shell has a coupling unit at the periphery. The retaining blocks are fastened to the holder frame, forming first pivot structure. The handle is provided with second pivot structure adapted for coupling to the first pivot structure for enabling the handle to be turned relative to the holder frame through an angle between the operative position convenient for carrying by hand, and the collapsed, non-operative position to minimize space occupation.

Abstract: A scuba cylinder which does not roll. The cylinder is comprised of sloped panels which from a body that is triangular in cross section. The outer surface of the body is circumscribed with longitudinally extending channels which direct the flow of water evenly over its surface. Included on the cylinder body, on adjacent panels, are elongated recesses and cowls which serve as finger-gripping handles. The interior of the cylinder body is buttressed by Y-shaped reinforcement members whose radially extending arms are joined to the inner sidewalls by a weld.

Abstract: Disclosed is a light weight handle assembly adapted to transport a heavy duty container which may contain sensitive electronic components. The handle assembly of the present invention generally comprises a stationary bracket which mounts to a container wall and a movable handle pivotally connected to the bracket. The bracket is formed with an inner portion that is adapted to rotatably engage with a pair of pivoting arms extending from the movable handle so that the light weight handle may easily be assembled and disassembled. Each of the pivoting arms is formed with a movable stop member which is advantageously positioned to contact and bear against stationary stop members which are attached to or are a part of the container to which the handle is attached.

Abstract: A method of constructing a double-walled blow-molded article with a hinged handle is performed on an article comprising a receiving member and a pinned member. The receiving member is a double-walled blow-molded thermoplastic component having an outer wall, an inner wall, and an open-ended receptacle. The open ended receptacle is defined by an arcuate pocket positioned opposite the open end, a stationary wall extending from the pocket and facing generally in a first direction, and a deflecting wall positioned opposite the stationary wall and facing generally in a second direction opposite the first direction. The pinned member includes a cylindrical pin. The method comprises as a first step passing the cylindrical pin through the open end of the receptacle and into contact with the pocket.

Abstract: A cover hood for a cooking utensil, such as a pot, kettle, pan, or the like, which includes a conical hood made from a spray protection grid and a bearing part comprising a bearing ring attached to a lower edge of the hood and protruding substantially horizontally from the lower edge of the hood. The spray protection grid is made of a wire mesh or a perforated metal plate material.

Abstract: A paint tray having storable carrying handles. The paint tray is of generally standard configuration, having a ramped bottom surface leading toward a more rectangular reservoir area. The non-uniform distribution of paint in the tray typically makes it difficult to carry or maneuver. Accordingly, a pair of handles is pivotally mounted to the paint tray, one near the front end and another near the rear end of the tray. The handles may be rotated into interlocking engagement above the paint tray in a transporting position, or may be rotated and slid into engagement with respective ends of the tray in a storage position.

Abstract: A handle apparatus for a computer is disclosed, including a chassis forming a framework for receiving various components of a computer and having two pairs of vertically extended tabs each having a support hole for engaging with a shaft, a stop rib for preventing the shaft from being inserted past a predetermined point, a holder rib for preventing the shaft from coming loose, a handle for gripping to facilitate carrying the computer, a pair of shafts for engaging the chassis and the handle in an assembled arrangement, and a cover for covering the chassis, the cover having a groove in which the handle is laid out of sight. The support hole contact area is large in order to disperse the load of the computer efficiently through the center of the shaft, when a worker carries the computer, to prevent the shaft from being transformed. A rest is provided in the groove of the cover to stop the handle's fall thereby preventing the handle from colliding directly with the cover or the chassis of the computer.

Abstract: A container having walls and a handle attached to the exterior of the container is disclosed. The container has handle receiving means in the form of a keyhole-shaped slot spaced apart from the wall of the container by a distance sufficient to accommodate a flange on the end of the handle. The keyhole-shaped slot has an orifice connected to a tapered slot which is open at the end opposed to the orifice. A shaft located at the end of the handle at each of its opposed ends has two spaced-apart flanges thereon. The shaft and the keyhole cooperatively act for insertion of the shaft into the orifice of the keyhole. At least one of the flanges attached to the handle is sectioned to form an edge in the shape of a hook. During insertion of the handle onto the container, the hook contacts a fulcrum located juxtaposed to the tapered slot of the keyhole which acts as a lever to snap the handle onto the container.

Abstract: A cap for pill bottles and like medicinal containers normally having cotton wadding therein between the pills or capsules and the open mouth of the bottle, wherein the cap is provided with an external hook member which is positionable to be inserted into the bottle to easily remove the cotton without flexing or forcing the fingers into the small mouth bottle.

Abstract: A lid for a refuse container which is structured to provide a work platform thereover. The lid includes a platform member which is configured to coverably span the mouth of a refuse container and over-extend therearound in cantilever fashion. The platform member is generally planar, having an upper surface and an opposite lower surface, and is dimensioned, in consonance with the material thereof, to provide a stable work platform at the upper surface when the lower surface is placed coveringly upon the mouth of a refuse container. The lid further includes an interface member which projects substantially perpendicular from the lower surface to thereby either snappingly or frictionally engage the sidewall of the refuse container at its mouth. The perimeter of the platform member at the upper side thereof is provided with a raised lip for restraining loose articles from inadvertently robing off, or otherwise falling from, the upper surface.

Abstract: A handicap handle for allowing a handicap person to easily open and close drawers, doors or the like comprising a substantially round handle affixed to a base portion. The handle forming a substantially half circle opening for allowing a person's fist to fit therein. The handle and base portion are rotatable affixed to a protective cover that is installed into the drawer. The handle in a closed position is flush with the front surface of the drawer and in the open position exposes a protruding handle.
