Abstract: Handles for containers and sterilization containers are provided. For example, a handle for a sterilization container comprises a base portion, a grip portion connected to the base portion, and a stop. The base portion is repositionable with respect to the container to change an orientation of the grip portion with respect to a bottom surface of the container. In some embodiments, a sterilization container comprises a body having a bottom surface, a lid, a first handle attached to a first end of the body, and a second handle attached to a second end of the body. Each handle includes a base portion rotatable within a plane parallel to the respective end of the body to reposition the handle with respect to the body, which changes an orientation of a grip portion of each handle with respect to the bottom surface.

Abstract: A detachable tray for a ladder includes a container for retaining supplies, a bracket assembly pivotally coupled to the container that is adapted to be releasably secured to the ladder, and a handle pivotally connected to the container to facilitate tray transport. The bracket assembly includes a rung engaging bracket that is movably connected to a base by a pair of transverse threaded members. A gap is defined between the bracket and the base that is dimensioned to fittingly receive one side rail of the ladder, the width of the gap being adjustable to accommodate side rails of varying widths. A support block is slidably coupled to a side of the base by a pair of posts. Together, the base and the support block apply a firm abutment force against the opposite side of the side rail than the bracket, thereby stabilizing the tray in place on the ladder.

Abstract: Disclosed are holders for supporting a burnable substrate such as a mosquito coil. They have an ash tray, a mounting post coupled to the ash tray and moveable between a storage position wherein both an outward part and an inward part of the mounting post are adjacent the ash tray and an erected position where the mounting post is suitable to support the burnable substrate, and a locking bracket linked to the ash tray which is suitable to retain the mounting post in the erected position when that is desired. In some forms multiple such coils and holders are housed in a compact kit.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a cooking apparatus, typically for microwave ovens and the like, that has separate compartments for different foods or food components. These separate compartments are such that food components are kept separate during storage, prior to cooking or heating, as well as during cooking or heating, avoiding unwanted mixing of the food components. The apparatus includes compartments configured such that steam, generated by the heating of a food component in a lower compartment is used to steam cook or heat a food component in an upper compartment.

Abstract: A container system for washing cars includes a base container, which may include wheels, rollers, etc., for mobility, which is structured to contain a cleaning solution during a car washing operation. A basket having a grate is positionable into the base container, and is structured to filter out particulate matter from the cleaning solution during a washing operation, and to provide a means for air circulation to one or more cleaning accessories stored thereon upon completion. A cover container is provided which is cooperatively structured with the base container to operatively engage one another in a closed configuration, for transport and storage, along with a plurality of cleaning accessories stored therein. The cover container may be utilized as a seat or step stool by the user during a car washing operation. At least one handle is provided and is structured to at least facilitate positioning of the container system.

Abstract: A food tray has a lower tray containing a first food product and an upper tray nested stably at least partly inside the lower tray, with the upper tray containing a second food product. An air permeable interface is provided between the upper tray and lower tray to allow venting of steam from the lower tray during cooking. A cover is provided for the food tray. Each of the lower tray and the upper tray are formed of a material that is suitable for use in a microwave or conventional oven. Various constructions may be used to create the air permeable interface, such as lugs, ledges and lips. The upper tray may sit above the lower tray. The trays are nested loosely for ease of removal of the upper tray from the lower tray. Various configurations of cover may be used such as a sleeve, carton or lid. The upper tray may contain the higher value food product.

Abstract: A container includes a vessel defining an internal volume adapted to be loaded with a removable material, a handle connected to the vessel, and a hanging device associated with the handle for hanging the vessel onto an upright structure, such as the front wall of an ice machine when the container is being used as an ice tote. The handle is rotatable between a raised position and a lowered position, and the hanging device is connected to the handle so as to rotate with it. This construction allows a user to dismount the container from the upright member with rotation of the handle from the lowered position to the raised position.

Abstract: A food/drink container includes a receptacle, a lid removably secured to the receptacle and a handle movably coupled to the container such that the handle may move between a first configuration and a second configuration. In the first configuration, at least a portion the handle is disposed below the receptacle and in the second configuration, at least a portion of the handle is rotatable with respect to receptacle.

Abstract: The invention discloses a carrying device for a container, in particular for a keg, having an annular cap piece that comprises at least one connecting element suited for being connected with an upper rim of the container, and having a carrying handle, extending across the annular cap piece, which in a retracted position lies flat within an outer contour of the annular cap piece and which can be moved into a usage position in which it projects beyond the top of the outer contour of the annular cap piece and can be gripped by one hand.

Abstract: Provided is a removable handle for a kitchen object, having a lateral wall extending upwardly by a part that is curved back towards the outside, the handle comprising an inner jaw and an outer jaw to be respectively brought against the inner and outer surfaces of the lateral wall, the two jaws being mobile in relation to each other between an open position and a closed position wherein they pinch the lateral wall. The outer jaw comprises a groove that can receive the free end of the curved part of the lateral wall in abutment when the jaws are in the closed position thereof.

Abstract: A refuse container has a bin defining a cavity and a lid selectively inhibiting access to the cavity. A pair of opposing brackets is located below the lid. The brackets are in laterally spaced relationship such that a space is located between portions of the brackets. Each bracket has opposing inner and outer face portions with an interior gap formed between therebetween. The interior gap is fluidly isolated from the cavity. A rib is located within the interior gaps such that each rib extends inwardly relative to the space between the brackets. A retention bar is coupled to each bracket and spans the space from one bracket to the other bracket wherein opposing ends of the retention bar extend into the interior gap of each bracket, and an exposed portion of the retention bar spans the space between the brackets. The end portions of the retention bar abut the ribs.

The folding body is made of silica gel, is mounted on the base and has a connecting ring, a folding segment and a neck. The handle device is detachably connected to the folding body and has an inserting handle and a lid. The inserting handle is connected securely to the neck and has a handle mount and a grip. The lid is connected to the inserting handle and is used to close an opening top of the neck.

Abstract: A waste cart includes a container having first and second wall portions, and first and second openings defined by the wall portions to receive and support a grab bar. The container includes at least one positioning element to constrain the lateral movement of the grab bar. During assembly, the first end of the grab bar is inserted through the opening in the first sidewall, and the grab bar is pivoted to align the grab bar with the opening in the second sidewall. During the pivoting of the grab bar, the first positioning element is deformed. The second end of the grab bar is inserted into the opening in the second sidewall, allowing the first positioning element to snap back to its original, non-deformed orientation. When the grab bar is installed, the positioning elements are positioned at the outer ends of the grab bar.

Abstract: A waste container includes fixed handles integrally molded to an upper edge of the side wall. The waste container further includes a retractable handle pivotably mounted at a hinge at the upper edge of the side wall. The retractable handle is pivotable between an upright, use position above the fixed handles and a retracted position below the hinge adjacent the side wall. In this manner, the handle can be moved to the proper location for either pulling the waste container on its wheels or for emptying the waste container into the hopper of a truck.

A grab bar has a free-sliding end and a retention end. The free-sliding end is inserted through the opening in the first sidewall, and the retention end is inserted through the opening in the second sidewall. The retention end includes a retainer for securing the grab bar with respect to the second sidewall. In the current embodiment, the grab bar includes a snap element near the retention end and a flange portion between the snap element and the free-sliding end. When the grab bar is installed, a portion of the second sidewall is positioned between the snap element and the flange portion.

Abstract: A container transport device is disclosed capable of being used to secure a container and transport it. The container transport device can include a handle for carrying. Straps are provided in the container transport device. In one form the handle can be used to discourage movement of the straps. In some forms the straps can be wrapped from top to bottom of a container, while in other forms straps can be wrapped around a side of the container. In some forms the straps can be ratcheted. Feet capable of providing a friction based interaction between a surface of the container and the container transport device are included.

Abstract: An articulating handle for an item of cookware is provided. The articulating handle is configured for connection with the cookware through a hinge assembly. The handle may be locked into substantially horizontal position such as for use of the cookware, or a substantially vertical position for storage. As such, cookware including such a handle can be stacked in a space-saving manner. A method for stacking cookware and a stack of cookware incorporating such a handle are also provided.

The carrying case has a handle including first and second handle portions rotatable between an engaged position wherein the handle portions are in abutment and a disengaged position wherein the handle portions are separated from one another. The first and second handle portions are configured to automatically matingly engage one another when rotated into abutment.

Abstract: A transportation container includes a body having a plurality of side walls, a bottom and an open upper end, a pair of handles mounted on the body so as to be rotated inside or outside the body and including grip portions having both ends respectively, a pair of arms formed on the respective ends of each grip portion of each handle, and a pair of engaging portions formed on an interface between each grip portion and the corresponding arm. The side walls of the body are inclined downwardly inward so that a cross-sectional area of the body is gradually decreased from the upper end to the bottom of the body. Each arm has a distal end mounted on an outer face of one of the side walls of the body so that each handle is rotated inside or outside the body. Each engaging portion engages the upper end of the body, and each grip portion extends across the open upper end of the body and is located lower than an upper end of the side wall when each handle is rotated inside the body.

Abstract: Disclosed is a light weight handle assembly adapted to transport a heavy duty container which may contain sensitive electronic components. The handle assembly of the present invention generally comprises a stationary bracket which mounts to a container wall and a movable handle pivotally connected to the bracket. The bracket is formed with an inner portion that is adapted to rotatably engage with a pair of pivoting arms extending from the movable handle so that the light weight handle may easily be assembled and disassembled. Each of the pivoting arms is formed with a movable stop member which is advantageously positioned to contact and bear against stationary stop members which are attached to or are a part of the container to which the handle is attached.

A cover portion (12) is pivotally mounted to the body portion (11) to close the open top. Wheels (21) are positioned at the bottom of the rear wall (16) to render the hamper (10) mobile. For such purpose, a handle assembly (13) is provided in the form of a U-shaped handle (33) having opposed branches (35) interconnected at one end by a grip area (34). The other end of the branches (35) are pivotally connected to the body portion (11). A bar (40) extends between the branches (35) and carries a pull tab (41) and a lock lug (42). The lock lug (42) is received in a slot (45) formed in the body portion (11) to hold the handle (33) in an upright position so that the hamper (10) can be transported on the wheels (21).

Abstract: A self-latching handle for storage batteries includes a cam mechanism formed integrally with the ends of the battery handle, the cam mechanism cooperating with the battery housing as the battery handle is rotated downwardly from a vertical attachment position to a horizontal storage position to lift the ends of the battery handle to move pivot post portions of the battery handle into pivot apertures formed in the cover of the battery housing and to lock the battery handle to the battery housing while permitting the battery handle to be pivoted between the horizontal storage position and a vertical use position without becoming detached from the battery housing.

Abstract: A device for holding and positioning a specimen cup for collection of a biological specimen with a ring (18) with a handle (14) attached by a hinge (24). The ring (18) receives and securely supports a specimen cup. The hinge (24) allows the handle (14) to assume folded or extended positions relative to the ring (18). The handle (14) extends outward and upward from the ring (18) when in use, thereby, removing one's hand from the specimen cup. One can then more easily hold and position the specimen cup without soiling their hand with the specimen. The hinge (24) also allows the handle (14) to be folded and secured to the ring (18) to facilitate packaging.

Abstract: Carrier apparatus includes a handle mounted for rotation about an axis and limited axial movement in a middle portion of the frame. The frame is pivotably mounted to the infant seat. The frame is a generally U-shaped pivotable member including a first arm, a second arm, and a middle portion interconnecting first and second arms. The handle can be rotated about the axis to a selected angular position to change the angular orientation of the handle relative to the middle portion.

Abstract: A fruit box made of metal or synthetic resin is disclosed so as to be able to contain mainly fruits. The invention is made such that a box is formed to be wider at a top and narrower at a bottom thereof so that other similar boxes can be piled within one box. Downward protrusions are formed at both bottom surfaces of the box, grooves are formed at bottom of the protrusion, and supporting frames having elongate holes formed therein are mounted on an edge frame of the box. Connecting bars of the handle are formed with hooking projection pieces and a reinforcing steel wire is inserted therein. The connecting bars of the handle are slidable within the elongate holes so that other boxes can be piled within one box in response to the moving position of the handle or other boxes can be piled in multiple layers on the handle, and the box can be stably lifted up or carried by gripping.

Abstract: An offset handle and bracket assembly for mounting a handle offset from center on a paint bucket includes a handle adjustably attached to a pair of opposing brackets on a paint bucket. The handle pivots on a first pin inserted in a hole in the bracket adjoining another hole below. The pivoting adjustable handle is secured in a selective position, by positioning a second set pin on the handle in one of a plurality of set pin holes in the bracket. The set pin holes are spaced apart and adjoin a common arcuate slot allowing movement of the set pin among the set pin holes. These handle pins adjustably secured in matching holes wholely contained in the bracket support the bucket during lifting by handle while maintaining the handle in an orientation offset from vertical.

Abstract: There is disclosed a pail bailer having a continuous wall, an open top and a bottom that has a flood port formed therein and which is fitted with a flood screen and an internal flexible flapper valve overlying the flood port. The flapper valve is provided with a spacer bushing that permit it to flex away from the flood port when the pail bailer is lowered into water or other liquid to permit the water or other liquid to enter and fill the pail bailer. A handle is provided across the open top of the pail bailer and its ends are secured in diametrically opposed brackets enabling the handle to be rotated through an arc greater than 180.degree. or be locked within the brackets in vertical, coaxial alignment with the longitudinal axis of the pail bailer.

Abstract: An improved handle/prop is provided for a pen-based computer wherein the handle/prop is pivotally mounted to opposite side edges of the computer. The handle/prop can be pivoted and locked into a plurality of different positions. These positions are selected to facilitate carrying the computer, supporting the computer on a flat surface in one or more inclined positions for writing and/or viewing, and holding the computer during writing. In particular, to facilitate writing on the computer screen while holding the computer, the handle/prop is mounted so that it can be swung into a recessed position behind an overlapping portion of the front display surface. This will minimize the size of the computer and minimize interference with holding the computer and writing on its screen at the same time.

Abstract: A ladder caddy (10) includes a rigid tray (12) and a ladder-engaging handle (14)which together define a generally rectangular mounting opening (80) positioned laterally adjacent a mounting side (38) of the tray. The mounting opening is of a size and shape for receiving therein an apex portion (82) and portions of leg pairs (86, 88) of an A-frame ladder (84) when the legs are in a separated, deployed configuration, but sufficiently small that the ladder-engaging handle and the rigid tray contact the separated leg pairs of the ladder near the apex portion whereby the ladder caddy remains mounted on the A-frame ladder. The ladder-engaging handle comprises two follower arms (54a and b) which are slidably engaged in track slots (48a and b) of the rigid tray. The ladder-engaging handle also includes an outer member, or yoke bar, (60) which is rotatably attached to the follower arms and which can be rotated to change the size of the mounting opening.
