Abstract: A sanitary product disposal container includes a container housing having a movable housing top cover, a movable housing bottom cover, and a sensor. A cover actuating mechanism may operably engage the housing top cover to actuate the housing top cover between open and closed positions. The sensor may operably interface with the cover actuating mechanism to facilitate deployment of the housing top cover between the open and closed positions responsive to sensing the presence of a person in proximity to the container housing. Accordingly, a used feminine hygiene product may be placed in the interior space of the container housing in the open position of the housing top cover without having to touch the container housing in order to open the housing top cover. The housing bottom cover may be selectively opened to facilitate removal of the used feminine hygiene products from the interior space.

The internal entrance area is defined by the machine entry door and the internal machine cover. The machine entry door and the internal machine cover are constructed to sweep the internal entrance area.

Abstract: A package assembly for automated aliquot and/or dispersal processes is provided. Embodiments of the present invention include, but are not limited to: first and second portions which cooperate to contain the aliquot, wherein a flexure channel is defined in each of opposite sides of at least one of the first or second portions, the flexure channels cooperating to define a flexure axis extending through the pair of flexure channels. Thus, embodiments of the present invention may allow at least one of first and second portions of the package assembly to flex about the flexure axis in response to an opening force exerted on the package assembly such that the first and second portions separate in response to the opening force.

Abstract: An opening device of a liquid food container includes a bottom, a main body, and a top part joined to an upper end of the main body and formed with thermoplastic resin. The top part has a lid integrally moulded with thermoplastic resin. The lid divides the top part and includes weakening lines, a first lid part, a second lid part, and a gripper. A first hinge is formed between the first lid part and the second lid part, the weakening lines are cut when the gripper is pulled up, and the-first lid part rotates on the-first hinge such that the weakening lines open narrowly. A second hinge is formed in an edge of the second lid part, the weakening lines are cut by further pulling the gripper, and the second lid part rotates on the second hinge such that the weakening lines open more widely.

Abstract: A lid assembly including a cover member for attachment to a container, the cover including first and second apertures providing access to contents of the container; a drinking member having a bore there through, the drinking member pivotal between a first closed position wherein the drinking member seals the first aperture and a second open position wherein the bore is aligned with the first aperture to allow contents of the container to pass through the first aperture and the drinking member; and a closure member pivotal between a first closed position wherein the closure member seals the second aperture and a second open position wherein the second aperture is exposed to allow contents of the container to pass there through.

Abstract: A push and flip lid for a container is provided. The lid includes a lid body, an opening, a door, and first and second pivot supports. The lid body has a top and a skirt. The skirt depends downwardly from the top and extends around a periphery of the top. The opening is formed through the lid body. The door is arranged over the opening and connected to the lid body. The door has a push section and a flip section connected by a hinge. First and second pivot supports on the lid body are separated by the opening. The opening extends between the first and second pivot supports and engages the door at first and second discrete locations, respectively. As such, the flip section pivots about the hinge in response to downward pressure applied to the push section to uncover the opening.

Abstract: An apparatus for processing coating material includes a crucible having a cylindrical receptacle for receiving coating material, a drive member having a drive shaft, and a cover coupled to the drive shaft. The cover has a flat surface. The drive shaft is configured to drive the cover to rotate thereabout between a closed position where the cover covers the receptacle and the flat surface presses against the coating material to flatten the coating material, and an open position where the cover is moved away from the receptacle.

Abstract: A garbage bin includes a bin body, a bin head, an inducting window, a garbage inlet disposed on the bin head, a bin cover disposed on the garbage inlet, an upright shaft and a driving unit for making the upright shaft rotate. The upright shaft is connected to the driving unit, and the bin cover is connected to the upright shaft, in which the connecting point is not at the center of the bin cover. The advantages of the invention is that the rotating shaft of the bin cover is the upright shaft on the bin head, so when the bin cover rotates about the upright shaft, the bin cover opens horizontally about the upright shaft, so that the driving force is small, the energy consumption is low, and a user's hand is prevented from touching by the bin cover.

Abstract: A fluid dispensing vessel is described which includes a fluid storage container having a neck portion and which defines an internal cavity. A first portion of a cap releasably engages the neck portion; a second portion of the cap telescopingly receives at least a part of the first portion of the cap; a rotatable drinking spout is rotatably supported on the second portion of the cap; and a third portion of the cap is pivotally moveable relative to the second portion of the cap and is further releasably attached to the rotatable drinking spout. The third portion of the cap causes the rotatable drinking spout to move along a path of travel and then forcibly detaches from the rotatable drinking spout when the drinking spout reaches the terminal end of its travel.

Abstract: A disposable, segmented, sorbent, steam-permeable, cooking utensil cover for selectively covering foodstuffs in a stovetop cooking utensil, having upstanding sidewalls which terminate at a rim. The cover has sufficient wet-strength to render it rigid. The edge of the cover contacts the rim of the cooking utensil to cover contained foodstuffs and support the rigid cover. The cover is made of steam-permeable, sorbent, fire-retardant material to allow cooking steam to escape, while grease spatter and cooking juices are absorbed; and, to prevent combustion of the cover due to its proximity to the stove heating element. The cover contains a plurality of radial slits to form liftable segments hinged at the cover center to allow independent elevation of a selected segment. A flip-up handle for removing the cover and adhesive lift tabs to facilitate lifting and securing the segments are provided. Once utilized, the entire cover assembly is discarded.

Abstract: A push and flip lid for a container is provided. The lid includes a lid body, an opening, a door, and first and second pivot supports. The lid body has a top and a skirt. The skirt depends downwardly from the top and extends around a periphery of the top. The opening is formed through the lid body. The door is arranged over the opening and connected to the lid body. The door has a push section and a flip section connected by a hinge. First and second pivot supports on the lid body are separated by the opening. The opening extends between the first and second pivot supports and engages the door at first and second discrete locations, respectively. As such, the flip section pivots about the hinge in response to downward pressure applied to the push section to uncover the opening.

Abstract: A package assembly for automated aliquot and/or dispersal processes is provided. Embodiments of the present invention include, but are not limited to: first and second portions which cooperate to contain the aliquot, wherein a pair of flexure channels are defined in opposing sides of at least one of the first or second portions, the flexure channels cooperating to define a flexure axis extending through the pair of flexure channels. Thus, embodiments of the present invention may allow at least one of first and second portions of the package assembly to flex about the flexure axis in response to a force exerted on the package assembly such that the first and second portions separate in response to the force.

Abstract: The theft proof lid according to the invention provides a lockable lid for a container, in particular, a standard 200-300 gallon grease bin used by most rendering and bio-fuel companies. The theft proof lid keeps thieves from stealing the bin contents. The lid is permanently installed onto the bin. A dual locking feature of the lid allows for easy pumping or dumping of the bin. First, locking pins for locking and unlocking the front corners of the lid are provided. A front half of the lid is foldable relative to a rear half of the lid, so that the front half may be unlocked and opened for pumping out the contents of the bin. A center locking bar is provided to lock the rear half of the lid from being opened. The locking bar is removed when the bin is to be lifted and dumped, allowing the lid to swing open on a back lid hinge, particularly when the lid is in a folded position.

Abstract: A reusable shipping container having hingeable lids is described for use in transporting fragile items and artwork, such as paintings, mirrors, and the like. The container is made up of two substantially parallel end panels, a bottom panel extending between and perpendicular to the two end panels, a back panel extending perpendicular to the bottom panel and the two end panels, a lower front panel extending substantially perpendicular to the bottom panel and to the end panels, an upper front panel co-planar with the lower front panel and attached to the upper edge of the lower front panel with a hingeable means allowing for hingeable rotation, and a top panel that is substantially parallel to the bottom panel and is attached to the upper edge of the back panel with an attachment means that allows the top panel to rotate out of parallel with the bottom panel.

Abstract: A medical implant package including a vial and a cap connected by a hinge. The vial includes a cavity for housing at least a portion of a dental implant. To access the implant, the cap is rotated about the hinge from a closed position to an open position. The cap defines a second cavity, separate from the vial cavity, sized to contain a healing screw. In one embodiment, the cap includes two portions connected by a living hinge which define the second cavity. The two cap portions, when moved relative to each other via the living hinge, permit access to the healing screw. In an alternative embodiment, the cap includes two retention members sized and configured to grip the healing screw. To remove the healing screw from the cap, the two retention members are displaced apart from each other by engaging them with a wedge extending from the vial.

Abstract: A semiconductor processing system includes a chamber adapted to process a wafer, the chamber having an opening to facilitate access to the interior of the chamber. The system has a lid coupled to the chamber opening, the lid having an open position and a closed position. An actuator is connected to the lid to move the lid between the closed position and the open position. The system may include a floating pivot coupled to the lid and the actuator to align the lid with the opening when the lid closes.

Abstract: A dispensing container is formed from a toroidal-shaped body having a top surface, a bottom surface, and opposing outer and inner sidewalls defining a hollow interior and a central void. A lid having a tab portion hinged to an actuator portion covers part of the top surface of the body and is dimensioned to cover the aperture. The actuator is depressable to cause the tab portion to pivot away from the aperture, thereby allowing one to dispense the contents present in the container.

Abstract: A removable and reusable cap for a container is provided. The cap has a platform portion and peripherally associated upstanding and downwardly extending portions, and a depression is defined across the platform portion. In the depression, a dispensing aperture and preferably a vent are defined which are opened and closed by a closure plate that is received within the depression and that has a proximal end which is pivotably associated with the depression. The distal end of the closure plate is pivotally associated with a pull ring that is biased into association with the closure plate and that is nestably received in the closure plate, but that has a finger associatable apex region. When the pull ring is pivoted upwardly, the closure plate is pivoted and the dispensing aperture and vent are opened, preferably the vent before the dispensing aperture.

Abstract: A container for housing produce comprising a generally rectangular bottom, generally rectangular opposed first and second side and end walls extending upwardly and outwardly from the bottom, and a pivot member on an upper edge of the first side wall. A lid comprising two panels is provided, each panel having first and second side edges and a hinge edge, the first side edges being detachably and pivotally secured to the pivot member. A hinge operatively connects the hinge edges of the two panels. Resilient flanges are provided on the second side edges of the panels to releasably engage shoulders formed on an upper edge of the second side wall when the lid is closed. To nest multiple containers one within another, the lid is removed from the side wall, folded 180° about its hinge, rotated 90° and placed in the bottom of the container. Another container is then placed in the container and the process is repeated.

Abstract: A transformable storage and protection apparatus comprising a top half portion; a bottom half portion; a back portion; first hinge means disposed between the top half portion and the back portion; and second hinge means disposed between the bottom half portion and the back portion, wherein the transformable storage and protection apparatus transforms between (1) a first configuration in which the top half portion, the bottom half portion and the back portion form a closed container; and (2) a second configuration in which the top half portion is pivoted along the first hinge means, and said back portion is pivoted along the second hinge means thereby forming a single planar bottom area.

Preferably, the container body (12) has a normally-closed fill port (16) and a dispensing port (18) which can be selectively opened and closed by the closure flap (14). The closure flap 14 is provided with multiple hinges (34, 38, 50) to allow the closure flap (14) to fold reversely upon itself and to allow the dispensing port (18) to be opened and closed while the fill port (16) remains closed.

Abstract: A multipurpose container having a lid and a receptacle. The receptacle has a base, a pair of side walls and a pair of end walls. The side walls are opposing each other and are integral to the base and to each other. At least one container wall has one half of a hinge mechanism integrally molded to a free end which mates with the other half of the hinge mechanism integrally molded with the lid to for the hinge mechanism. The hinge mechanism removably and pivotally attaches the lid to the receptacle. The hinge prevents the lid from rotating past a prescribed angle while allowing the lid to remain open to aid in filling the container. The lid includes a living hinge which allows the lid to be reduced in size and fit within the container. The container is adapted to being stackable and nestable when the lid is removed and placed inside the container.

Abstract: A container comprises a container body, a rearward lid component, a forward lid component and a handle. The container body has a bottom, first and second side walls extending upwardly from the bottom, and first and second end walls extending upwardly from the bottom. The side walls and end walls define a mouth of the container. The rearward lid component is adapted for covering a rearward portion of the mouth. The forward lid component is hingedly attached to the rearward lid component by a first hinge assembly for pivoting movement of the forward lid component relative to the rearward lid component about a first hinge axis. The forward lid component is adapted for covering a forward portion of the mouth. The handle is connected to the first end wall of the container body adjacent the mouth of the container. The handle extends generally along a handle axis.

Abstract: A lid assembly for a process chamber. The lid assembly includes a hinge having a hinge mount affixed to the chamber and a hinge arm. A pin extends from the hinge mount through an elongated slot in the hinge arm allowing both rotational and longitudinal motion of the hinge arm relative to the hinge mount. A support frame attached to the hinge arm has two side arms that extend perpendicularly from the hinge arms toward the front of the chamber. The lid is pivotally connected to the side arms by a pivot connection aligned with the center of mass of the lid. A detent extends from the lid through a slot in the side arm at a position offset from the pivot connection. The detent and slot serve to limit the allowable rotation of the lid relative to the lid support frame. Thus, the lid is allowed to float over the opening of the chamber as the lid is closed so that the lid may be positioned in parallel alignment relative to the opening of the chamber before being secured to the chamber.

Abstract: A device for removing spa covers and storing them, while the spa is in use, and returning them to cover the spa after use. The device may be operated with very little effort on the part of the user to lift the cover up and "off" the spa and over the end for storage. The spring balance aids in returning the cover to the "on" position. This device also reduces the possibility of having the wind damage or blow away the spa cover. Handicapped persons may find the installation of the hand crank or electric motor provisions will help them remove and replace the cover.
