Abstract: An apparatus is provided for holding and centering a candle wick in a container. The apparatus according to the invention is characterized in that a fixing apparatus is provided for the candle wick, which can be connected to the container in a detachable in such a way that it can be pivoted relative to the container.

Abstract: To obtain a fuel tank fuel filler structure with which even a fuel nozzle having a large diameter portion can be inserted easily into a fuel fill inlet and which can highly demonstrate the action of guiding the fuel nozzle to the fuel fill inlet. One end of a guide plate (44) is rotatably supported on a rotational shaft (42) disposed on a flapper valve (20). The guide plate (44) is biased by a guide plate biasing spring toward a withdrawal region in which the guide plate withdraws from a passage region of a fuel nozzle. In a state where the flapper valve (20) is in an open position (HP), the entire guide plate (44) is positioned in the withdrawal region. In a state where the flapper valve (20) is in a closed position (TP), the guide plate (44) can be placed near a fuel fill inlet (26).

Abstract: A plastic lid for a metal can including a liquid. The lid includes a cavity (20) receiving a neck (15) that can be folded down and secured to a wall section (21) of the cavity. The free end of the folded-down neck (15) compresses a wall (23) of the cavity and seals the can, closing an air intake slit (27) provided in an elastomer material (29).

Abstract: The present invention relates to an externally operated alpha port for a rapid transfer port (RTP) system such as those found in isolation barrier systems. Means are provided for the actuation by the operator of the alpha port door locking system externally of the isolation barrier to facilitate the locking and unlocking of the alpha port door without requiring gloved entry into the isolation barrier. Means are also provided for opening and closing of the alpha port door with the actuation by the operator of a lever external to the isolation barrier.

Abstract: A “no profile” electrical box, integrated flange/protective assembly and interchangeable cover that obscures standard electrical outlets such that a wall surface appears nearly continuous, uninterrupted by the outlet or cover when in use or not in use. The profile of the combined unit equals only the thickness of the material from which it is constructed; no hinges, screws or fasteners of any kind are visible and no part of the assembly requires detachment or storage when the outlet is in use, as the hinged cover is undetectably stored in the electrical box, or may be used to cover the electrical cords when engaged in the outlet. Exemplary embodiments of the cover obscure the electrical outlet. Together, the electrical box and flange assembly allow the electrical outlet to be flush mounted or recessed interchangeably, even after installation.

Abstract: A closure device for a container, and preferably for a water decanter, comprising a frame comprising a closure opening and which is preferably round and configured for insertion into a pouring opening of the container, a lid, which is connected to a pendulum and which is suspended in the closure opening of the frame, and configured to swing therein, wherein the lid is configured to close and seal the closure opening when the container is substantially upright, and wherein the lid and pendulum are configured to rotate with respect to the closure opening when the container is held in a slanted or horizontal manner. The closure device preferably comprises at least one cantilever arm secured to an inner wall of the frame at a first end and connected to the lid at a second end so that the lid is configured to swing with respect to the closure opening.

Abstract: A dual-chambered beverage container in the form of a shot glass. The interior of the glass is bisected via a hinged divider flap, creating two separate chambers within the glass. The upper chamber holds a first beverage, preferably a shot of hard liquor, while the bottom chamber holds a volume of a second beverage, such as soda or juice. When the shot glass is in a resting position, the divider flap is closed, segregating the beverages in their respective chambers. A user begins to drink the first beverage, the hinged diver flap will slowly swing open, allowing the second beverage to flow out of the bottom chamber, through the upper chamber, and into the user's mouth. Thus the user experiences the taste of the shot of hard liquor only briefly before consuming the chaser beverage.

Abstract: A resealable tab mechanism for a beverage container having a tab handle with divergent arms with a bar extending therebetween having a gas release pin valve fixedly attached to the tab handle bar. The tab handle is pivoted from a closed position in arc-like fashion that will bend the tab plate downward then the tab handle is rotated in circular fashion providing full access to the beverage container's contents. To close the process is reversed by rotating the tab handle over the beverage container's aperture then pivoted back to its seated position compressing a pair of gaskets that hermetically seals the beverage container's contents.

The functional opening is introduced into a component which is separate from the container or body, the component is inserted into a receiving opening in the container or body. A positioning device is integrally formed on the hole closure device for insertion into the receiving opening in a custom-fit manner.

Abstract: A collapsible frontward-tilting receptacle device includes a stationary receiving body that defines an internal space and is collapsible and a movable receiving body that forms a receiving space. The stationary receiving body has a bottom on which a rigid movable bottom board is positioned. The stationary receiving body has a side wall to which a movable support board having a stop section is movably connected. A free end of the movable support board is connected to an opposite side wall of the stationary receiving body to serve as a top plate. The movable receiving body is received in the internal space of the stationary receiving body so that a front end of the bottom thereof is coupled to a front portion of the bottom of the stationary receiving body to allow a top opening of the movable receiving body to be rotated out of the stationary receiving body.

Abstract: A collapsible frontward-tilting receptacle device includes a stationary receiving body that defines an internal space and is collapsible and a movable receiving body that forms a receiving space. The stationary receiving body has a bottom on which a rigid movable bottom board is positioned. The stationary receiving body has a side wall to which a movable support board having a stop section is movably connected. A free end of the movable support board is connected to an opposite side wall of the stationary receiving body to serve as a top plate. The movable receiving body is received in the internal space of the stationary receiving body so that a front end of the bottom thereof is coupled to a front portion of the bottom of the stationary receiving body to allow a top opening of the movable receiving body to be rotated out of the stationary receiving body.

The closure part (51) is arranged on the lower face (32) so as to be pivotable about a first axis (A) which extends substantially parallel to the lower face (32). The operating device (40) is arranged on the closure part (51) so as to be rotatable about a second axis (B) and be rotatable from a first position (S1) into a second position (S2). The opening (33) can be closed by rotating the operating device (40) into the first position (S1) and can be opened by rotating the operating device (40) into the second position (S2).

Abstract: An apparatus for inspecting discarded items prior to disposal has a receptacle suitable for fitting on an opening of a disposal container, a tray pivotally mounted in the inner opening of the receptacle so as to be movable between a generally horizontal first position and an angularly disposed second position, a handle connected to the tray and extending radially outwardly therefrom, and a latch cooperative with the handle for fixing the tray in the first position and for releasing the tray from the first position when a lifting force is applied to the handle. The second position is suitable for allowing discarded articles to pass into the container.

Abstract: A foot actuated door opener for a waste receptacle includes a foot pedal, a door position adjustment device, and a force transfer device. The foot pedal is coupled to the waste receptacle. The door position adjustment device is coupled to a pivoting door of the waste receptacle to move the door between a closed position and an open position. The force transfer device is connected to an exterior of the waste receptacle to transfer a force applied to the foot pedal to the door position adjustment device to move the door from the closed position to the open position. A foot actuated door opener kit, a waste receptacle, and methods of installing and using the same are also disclosed.

Abstract: The invention is a spill proof snack bowl or container with a box section which may have a beveled bottom. The box section may be square, rectangular, round, oval or spherical. The bowl has a continuous wall to create a depth and an open top and a removable lid. The removable lid has a secondary opening which opening is closed by a secondary opening piece. The secondary opening piece is attached to the removable lid with a regular or living hinge. The secondary opening piece closes the secondary opening with a flat spring. The distance between the front wall and the secondary opening piece edge, and the distance between side perpendicular width of the secondary opening piece and side walls are between about ? and ½ inch. Optionally the secondary opening has an elastomeric seal. The secondary opening piece has rounded edges, and the secondary opening has rounded ridges.

Abstract: A light weight hinged top (top) is described to be used as a container top. This particular model provides ease of use and requires significantly less material for manufacturing. A novel way of connecting the top and the container is using a fork spring which has three fingers like structures. The two outer structures are smaller than the middle one. The fork spring due to its resiliency brings the container top back to closing position thus providing self closing and self reseal ability for the top. A guide member also helps to position the top when it opens and closes. The top can be made using metal, biodegradable materials or any flexible material. The top can be used for cans or bottles.

Abstract: Protective shoe covers have been widely used in health care setting and some industry environment that require clean room condition. To strip off the disposed shoe covers in a hand-free and automated fashion is very desirable to the users, which provide physical convenience, time saving and economic merits. This disclosed invention provides methods and an automatic system for stripping of disposable shoe cover from user's foot/feet that includes the electro-mechanical complex, a micro control unit and its embedded software programs, control algorithm to guide the execution of the stripping functions in automated and hand-free fashion.

Abstract: The subject invention is a lid assembly (20) for use on a container (22) presenting an endless top rim (24). A frame (26) includes shell-shaped sidewalls (36) that face one another, and present upper concave central edges (48). The upper concave central edges (48) are connected by lower edges (50) to define opposed L-shaped openings (54) between the central edges (48). A pair of abutting L-shaped flaps (28) each define a top leg (64) and a side leg (68). The flaps (28) are complementary to the L-shaped openings (54) by extending away from each other along the upper central edges (48) of the sidewalls (36) and then downward to the lower edge (50). The top legs (64) may be pushed down into the opening (54) to provide access to the container (22) while the side legs (68) bias the flaps (28) to a closed position.

Abstract: A lid for a cup which provides for use of a beverage bag unit comprising a beverage bag and a drawstring connected to the beverage bag, the lid comprising: a flange for attachment to a cup; and a body unit comprising a body section including an aperture through which the drawstring is slideable, and at least one wing member operable to allow a user to squeeze and/or hold the beverage bag when in a raised position.

Abstract: The invention provides a dual-reservoir container for liquid handling. The container includes two reservoirs attached to each other by a bridge means and a base wall, and further includes an integral seal cap connected to the base wall by a fixed hinge means. The seal cap includes a lid, two annular sealing walls extending downward from the lid and adapted to seal the reservoirs, two closed dome-shaped structures extending upward from the lid and the annular sealing walls, a locking tab hingedly attached to and extending substantially co-planar with and outward from the lid, and a lid extension extending upward from the upper lid surface. The locking tab has a longitudinal slot therethrough and can be moved from its normal outwardly position to a securing position in which the longitudinal slot engages a securing member comprised in the base wall, preventing the seal cap from being unseated from the reservoirs.

The access sport cover may seal an aperture located in a vehicle body whereby the access port cover may also provide access to a terminal located within the body. The access port cover may include a cover, a hinge mechanism and a linkage mechanism. The cover may include an outer portion and an inner portion, wherein the inner portion may include a first and a second end. The hinge mechanism may be located on each end of the inner portion. The linkage mechanism may be connected to the hinge mechanism, wherein the linkage mechanism may the said cover towards and away from the aperture. The cover and the linkage mechanism may be rotated into and stored within the body when the cover is not sealing the aperture in a closed position.

Abstract: A blister package is provided including a blister for holding and dispensing articles. The blister package includes a backing and a blister defining an opening and having an integral, re-closable closure for selectively covering the opening. The closure may include snap elements that can be snap-fitted into notches in the blister for securely retaining the blister in a closed position. Optionally, the closure may joined to the blister by an integral, flexible fastener, which may be a strap and/or a living hinge. A method of packaging an article in a blister package includes: (a) forming a plastic blister, (b) forming an opening in the blister, and (c) forming a closure integral with the blister for covering the opening.

Abstract: A waterproof cover for an audio system includes a frame and a shield pivotally connected to the frame. The flame has two elongated recesses respectively defined in two opposed sides defining the through hole and an inclined trough sandwiched by the two elongated recesses and defined in a bottom side defining the through hole. The shield has two rails formed on two opposed sides thereof to correspond to and be movably received in the two elongated recesses, a water blocking flange sandwiched by the two rails and formed on a bottom side of the shield to correspond to and be received in the inclined trough and a flange formed on a top side of the shield to abut a top side defining the through hole such that a full coverage of the through hole by the shield is completed and water seeping from engagement between the shield and the frame is reduced.

The sharps can include but are not limited to sharp medical instruments such as but not limited to syringes, needles, scalpel blades, as well as other sharp devices such as but not limited to sharp-tipped ornamental pins, sewing needles, and the like. The devices can include containers having bendable flaps which can bind against needles being inserted into the container, resilient materials, reactive chemical materials, and the like, which can also bind and/or permanently capture the sharps.

Abstract: The container assembly includes a container and a deformable lid. The container has a wall that extends between a base and an open end and includes a fulcrum. The deformable lid includes a mounting portion, a depressible portion, and a dispensing portion. The deformable lid is mounted on the container to enclose the open end. The mounting portion is joined to the depressible portion at a first hinge and the dispensing portion is joined to the depressible portion at a second hinge. When the depressible portion is depressed toward the base, the first hinge permits the depressible portion to collapse into the container, the second hinge permits the dispensing portion to slide upon the fulcrum, and the fulcrum biases a forward portion of the dispensing portion away from the base such that the forward portion protrudes from the container.

The box is buried in the assembly frame, and has a surface in which a storage opening is opened. The cover covers the storage opening and can be opened or closed. The open/close mechanism includes a guide portion, a guided portion, and an interval disposed between the guide portion and the guided portion. The guide portion is disposed on the assembly frame and/or the box. The guided portion is disposed on the cover and is guided by the guide portion. The interval is minimized at one of an open position, at which the cover opens the storage opening, and a closed position, at which the cover closes the storage opening.

Abstract: A cap device for use with a container or bottle includes a spout portion having a trough defining an access hole. The cap device includes a drinking implement coupled to the trough and pivotal between retracted and extended configurations, the drinking implement covering the access hole at the retracted configuration and being in communication therewith at the extended configuration. An upper surface of the cap device defines a cavity adjacent to and in communication with the trough that is configured to receive a person's finger to selectively urge the drinking implement between retracted and extended configurations. The cap device may include a pour portion adjacent the spout portion although the spout portion accounts for a relatively larger area than the pour portion.

Abstract: A container designed principally for footwear has a corrugated liner board or fiberboard base and a thermoformed plastic lid that is securely attached to the base. The lid is preferably clear so that the contents of the container may be seen through the lid. The lid is attached to the base with a series of tabs that engage cooperatively formed openings in the base and the lid has side edges that engage the edges of the base. The lid is secured in the closed position with tabs formed on the forward edge of the lid that engage openings in the base. The inventive container protects articles held therein during shipping and storage, and displays the articles both before and after sale.

Abstract: A device provides for safely and hygienically removing and temporarily storing dirty shoe covers, and includes a container which has first and second sides, a top, and a bottom. A handle is provided as a help for a user to balance themselves while using the container. At least one opening is provided in one of the sides, to accept a foot of a user having a shoe and shoe cover. A lower end of the opening includes an internally facing protruding member or peg which is inclined inwardly and downwardly, and is used to pry off a dirty shoe cover which, when removed, then drops down into a trash bag located in the bottom of the container.

Abstract: A garbage can has two shutters, which can be made to pivot between a closed position by means of a tension spring and an opened position by means of depressing a pedal; the pedal is connected to a connecting rod up and down movable together with an actuating plate for the shutters; the connecting rod is further connected to a buffer mechanism consisting of a fixed rod part, and main body, which is movable relative to the rod part together with the connecting rod, so that the main body will move up relative to the rod part at such a speed as to counteract the tension spring, and slow down the movement of the shutters from the opened position to the closed position after the pedal is released from the depressed position, preventing the shutters from hitting the containing body too hard.

Abstract: A closure, set within an aperture of a container end wall, for gas tight containment of dissociating gasses that emit from carbonated beverage, whereby the container, such as a beverage container, becomes pressurized. The closure device, manufactured of a suitable plastic material, set within an aperture in a container end wall, includes a rim seal with an annular locking recess surrounding the aperture in the container end wall, providing a liquid and gas-tight seal. The rim seal includes a depending tapered inner wall, protruding into the container interior, with the larger diameter open to the container interior. Additionally, the rim seal is fitted with a narrow strip hinge on a lower aspect, and locking members located on an upper aspect. A sealing panel, having a small diameter gas vent hole, is set within the rim seal, connected by the narrow strip hinge. This panel is formed with a tapered outer depending wall with a like taper to the rim seal, such that the tapers cooperate in sealing engagement.

Abstract: A door device for opening and closing an opening of a collecting case includes a door body for opening and closing the opening. A first hinge and a second hinge are disposed at one side of the door body at a predetermined distance from each other. A first guide rail is disposed at an interior wall of the collecting case for a predetermined length for guiding the door body to slide into and out from the collecting case by guiding the first hinge to move inwardly and outwardly with respect to the collecting case when the door is opened and closed; and a second guide rail is disposed at an interior wall of the collecting case for a predetermined length for guiding the second hinge to simultaneously rotate when the door body slides into and out from the collecting case.

The door returns to a closed position under the force of a closing mechanism which may be a spring. However, the closing of the door is slowed by a damping mechanism.

A flange surrounding the opening surface of the pouring element is fixedly connected to a flat gable top composite packaging. The closure lid has lateral bearing pins which are supported in corresponding recesses of the base member, in which a safe connection between the base member and the closure lid and a reliable opening/closing function of the flat gable top composite packaging is provided. The recesses in the base member are arranged on the package side so that the closure lid can be clamped from the package side into the recesses for receiving the bearing pins provided in the base member.

Abstract: A manway assembly (10) designed for mounting within an opening (19) in a vessel wall (20) is provided which includes a manway ring (12) having a passageway (24) therethrough, with an inner cover (14) and a cover lock (18). The cover (14) is supported by a swing mount (16) including a tubular member (42), an arm (44) telescopically received within member (42), and a suspension connector (48). The lock (18) is made up of studs (38) secured to cover (14) and extending through passageway (22), with an annular locking plate (50) having bores (54) for receiving the studs (38); nuts (64) complete the locking arrangement.

Abstract: A garbage cam with a push-open cap connected to a pedal interactive device includes a can body, a push-open cap pivotally connected to an inner side of an opening of a can cap, a torque spring to automatically push the push-open cap to move back to close the opening, and a pedal interactive device to pull open the push-open cap. The pedal interactive device consists of a pedal provided at a lower end of the can body, a rope having a first end fixed with the push-open cap and a second end wound around a rope wheel connected to a gear engaging a vertical rack positioned between an upper and a lower rib plates units. The rack is pushed up to rotate the gear and the rope wheel to wind the rope when a user steps down the pedal so that the push-open cap is pulled to open, and the push-open cap automatically moves to close up the opening when the user releases the pedal.

When the side wall (14) is connected to the floor (12). However, the floor (12) is displaced independently of the side wall (14) when the hinge means (26) is disconnected.

Abstract: A cover for a waste can has three elements: a collar; a lid; and a spring link, so-named because it functions both as a linkage between the collar and the lid and a spring for biasing the lid closed. Three modes of operation are made possible by the location of a pair of parallel pivot axes, one between the lid and the spring link and the other between the spring link and the collar. The collar is friction fit on any suitably sized receptacle.

Abstract: A waste container assembly comprises a container body, a lid body, a flange and a door. The container body has an upper rim. The lid body has an outer surface extending from a top of the lid body to a lower portion of the lid body. The lower portion of the lid body is shaped and adapted for engagement with the upper rim of the container body. The flange extends from the lid body and has an inner rim that at least partially defines an opening in the lid body. The door is positioned adjacent the opening in the lid body and is pivotally connected to the flange for selectively moving the door between open and closed positions relative to the lid body. The door is adapted to substantially cover the opening in the lid body when the door is in its closed position. In another embodiment, the door pivots about a pivot axis and has a rim engaging portion adapted for engagement with the inner rim of the lid body when the door is in its closed position.

Abstract: A closure for a filling tube of a motor vehicle with a swivel closure cover is arranged outside of a center opening of the filling tube in the tank and pivots around a swivel axis positioned in a plane perpendicular to the center axis of the opening. The closure is pre-stressed by a spring in a direction counter to the insertion movement of a filling pipe of a fuel supply nozzle. The closure is supported on a lower surrounding opening edge of the opening in the closed position to form a seal. An upstanding swivel facilitating element that can be contacted by the filling pipe is arranged on the closure. The closure cover is swiveled in a force-saving manner as a result of this swivel facilitating element.
