Three Or More Patents (Class 221/225)
  • Patent number: 4002265
Abstract: A screw is blown through a flexible tube and into the jaws of a transfer hanism which is associated with a hand-held screw driving gun. Thereafter, the jaws are advanced to deliver the screw into telescoping relation with a retractible tubular finder which surrounds the driving bit of the gun, the jaws holding the screw during initial driving of the screw and then returning to receive another screw from the tube.

  • Patent number: 3990587
Abstract: Apparatus for separating coils from groups of coils and orienting them for presentation in-line correspondingly oriented about their longitudinal axes to a coil assembly machine, comprising in parallel relation a plurality of conveyors corresponding in number to the number of in-line coils to be presented to the assembly machine, for moving batches of interengaged coils along a predetermined path and for partially separating the coils as they travel therealong, and a gripper assembly associated with each conveyor arranged to successively grasp and complete separation of the leading coil of the group of coils while the remaining coils of the group are withheld, position it on a turntable for rotation about its vertical axis so that its knot is in a predetermined position of orientation, invert the separated coil after it has been rotated about its vertical axis and by such inversion present it to an assembly machine.

  • Patent number: 3979018
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for separating bundled bars, which comprises a magazine for containing the bars in bundles cooperating with means which reduce its width and thus cause the overflow of a certain number of bars from one of its longitudinal sides. The apparatus is also provided with a device for rolling the bars back and forth so to arrange them side by side through a passage where bars are intercepted and withheld by a hooking device which separates the bars singly and release it for transfer to a subsequent operation.

  • Patent number: 3946899
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a sugar cane planter pivotally mounted on the rear of a cane cart which automatically receives cane stalks sitting on their butt ends and pushed rearwardly of a cane cart where they are to be planted either whole or in cut lengths and are engaged at their base or butt ends and directed rearwardly with the butts rearwardly of their tips so that the cane stalks fall butt end rearwardly where they are engaged by cane orienting plates which impart an upward and rearward vector to the stalks either whole or cut to orient them with their major axis substantially parallel to the major axis of the cane cart and substantially parallel to the ground in which attitude they fall into a cane dispensing trough which has a mouth parallel to the major axis of the cane cart and positioned above an open planting furrow for receiving the stalk in its horizontal attitude.
