Also taught are the carton blanks (10, 210) for erecting the respective containers. A length of packets created by severably attaching sequential packets (124) along respective tear lines (129) is rolled or folded then positioned within the container for later dispensing. Child-resistance features that impede removal of each packet (124) include routing the length of packets between opposing panels (16, 24) or between opposing panels and an edge of folded panels (224, 239) that exert a lateral pressure on the packets (124). In some embodiments the panels (16, 24) include apertures (64, 92) that catch or otherwise engage a feature of a packet, such as a blister, to further impede removal of each packet (124). To further impede removal of a packet (124), access notches (56, 256, 290) that allow the user to grasp the packet are narrowly constructed.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 30, 2007Publication date: November 12, 2009Inventor: Rodney Dixon

Publication number: 20090250481Abstract: A cutting and closure mechanism for a ticket or voucher dispenser and a method for dispensing a ticket or voucher from a free standing roller printer provided with a shutter to prevent unwanted access to the ticket exit opening to prevent jamming or a backing-up of the printed tickets and comprises a connection to check and on/off card and provided with a shaft 2 connected to an eccentric cam 3 having a pin 4 associated with a combined shutter 6 and a movable blade 7. Counterposed to movable blade 7 is an immovable blade 8 on parallel or staggered or juxtaposed planes, with blades 7, 8 positioned near an exit slot 9 for exiting of the printed ticket and to cut the ticket. The roller printer body 10 then determines an anti-breaking and containment structure for the shutter 6 maintained by a spring 11 juxtaposed to blade 8 so that the blades are maintained adjacent to each other so that the blades can cut the tickets and the shutter closes the exit opening.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 30, 2009Publication date: October 8, 2009Applicant: Custom Engineering spaInventor: Alberto CAMPANINI

Publication number: 20090039099Abstract: A hand-free paper dispensing device is provided that is particularly suitable for the away-from-home market. The dispensing device comprises a rotatable drum having a transversely-extending rolling surface for receiving a paper sheet thereon and a retractable knife configured to extend out of the drum at a first rotational position. The dispensing device also comprises a paper guide for guiding the paper sheet onto the rolling surface; the paper guide has a plurality of transversely-spaced ribs having a radial spacing from the rolling surface at the first rotational position that is less than the radial distance of the knife when extended at the first rotational position. Such an arrangement ensures that a paper towel segment is cut at each revolution of the drum, thereby reducing the incidence of paper double-sheeting.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 10, 2008Publication date: February 12, 2009Inventors: Matthew Friesen, John Friesen, Brad Friesen

Patent number: 7481331Abstract: A wall mounted vertical, gravity fed dispensing container for use with a blister pack includes a pair of perforated sheets defining a holder portion for receiving and supporting the blister pack while holding the blister pack parallel to the wall. The holder portion is formed as a separate element which can be snapped into the container. The two sheets are hinged at the bottom. Behind the holder portion is a catching container fixed to the holder portion and to the wall such that medication expelled from the blisters through the openings by a manually movable punch is caught in the catching container. A bottom wall of the catching container converges the medications to a bottom chute with a manually movable press lever operating a flap valve to discharge the medications into a cup. A front door covers the holder and the blister pack and contains a receptacle for the punch.Type: GrantFiled: September 9, 2005Date of Patent: January 27, 2009Assignee: Manrex LimitedInventors: John H.
