Abstract: A bead assembly for a formulation dispenser includes a bead container configured to store a plurality of formulation beads, a singulator assembly configured to regulate dispensation of the formulation beads from the bead container, a sub-frame configured to support the bead container and the singulator assembly. A modular bead unit includes the bead container and at least a portion of the singulator assembly, and is removably attachable to the sub-frame.

Abstract: A storage container for a storage and delivery station for drugs is provided. The storage container includes a retainer for preventing a multiple drug portions from being delivered simultaneously. The storage container includes a housing that surrounds a receiving chamber and has a circular cylindrical section and a base surface, and a separating device disposed rotatably in the circular cylindrical section and having multiple projections and channels. Each projection has a surface, the uppermost points of the surface defining an upper receiver boundary plane. The storage container also includes a retainer with a fastening section and a retaining section, the retaining section preventing entry of the drug portions into a channel aligned with a delivery opening, and at least one cam for removing drug portions from the retaining section, the cam being movable above the upper receiver boundary plane over the retaining section.

Abstract: An automated medication adherence system. The automated medication adherence system may comprise: a housing, an electronic interface, a plurality of reservoirs, one or more sensors, and at least one pill delivery and lock-out module. The electronic interface is programmable to accept data relating to a medication, including at least one of a pill identify, a user identity, a dosage schedule, and a side effect. The electronic interface actuates rotation of a reservoir, which is configured to receive, store, and dispense pills, tablets, and capsules of various sizes accurately and precisely. The sensors monitor medication input and output, and alerts a user when medication has been dispensed and needs to be taken.

Abstract: A manually operable dispenser for dispensing disposable earplugs. The dispenser includes a housing, index body, and plate. The housing forms an opening for receiving earplugs from a container. The index body includes a handle, hub, guide cone and shield. The hub forms opposing major faces and a plurality of circumferentially arranged bores. The guide cone projects from the upper major face, tapering in diameter to a leading end. A base of the shield is disposed above the leading end opposite the upper major face. A wall of the shield projects radially outwardly to an edge having a diameter greater than a diameter of the leading end. The shield and the handle are rotationally affixed. The hub is rotatably mounted within the opening. The plate is connected to the housing and forms a dispensing aperture. A manually-applied rotational force at the handle selectively aligns individual ones of the bores with the dispensing aperture.

Abstract: A method and a system for dispensing bolts are provided. The system includes a dispensing cartridge including a dispensing tube and a dispensing section. The dispensing tube includes a first end, a second end, and a passage provided between the first end and the second end. The passage is configured to store a plurality of bolts to be supplied to the dispensing tube through the first end such that the bolts are moved through the passage. The dispensing section is located near the second end of the dispensing tube and is configured to dispense the bolts one at a time from the second end.

Abstract: Pharmaceutical product dispensers (e.g., in the shape of a common ink pen) are operable to indicate information regarding a dosing schedule of a pharmaceutical product dispensable from the dispenser. Embodiments of the dispensers may include a plurality of dosing segments, each corresponding to a different dose of the pharmaceutical product. Actuation of an actuator may result in interaction between the actuator and the pharmaceutical product storage area such that a dose of pharmaceutical product contained in the pharmaceutical product storage area is dispensed, along with a corresponding advancement of the plurality of dosing segments. The dispenser may also include one or more locks to prevent unauthorized access to the pharmaceutical product (e.g., by a child or the like). Furthermore, the pharmaceutical product dispenser may include a disabling mechanism to permanently disable actuation of the actuator of the dispenser.

Abstract: The present invention is concerned with a basket processing apparatus that includes a basket storage portion in a form of a horizontal load rail (2). A plurality of slide storage baskets (4) can be located in series on the rail (2). Each basket is “side loading” and the side loading aperture of each basket can be selectively covered by a slide retaining bar (6). When the baskets (4) are placed on the load rail (2) (e.g. by hooking or clipping the baskets onto the rail), the basket can be moved along the horizontal rail by a basket moving means. The arrangement of the rail and the basket moving means is such that the baskets can be pushed together and move as a “train”. Baskets moved to the pick-up end (12) of the rail can then be removed from the rail and processed. A vertical lift mechanism can be used to remove the basket and transport it to a processing device, for example a coverslipper.

In one embodiment, an apparatus is provided for dispensing reagent beads contained in a bead storage device which includes a bead carrier having a plurality of wells; a plurality of reagent beads disposed in the wells; and a cover tape releasably attached to the bead carrier to cover the wells and retain the reagent beads in the wells. The apparatus comprises a channel in which to place the bead storage device with the bead carrier facing a support wall of the channel and the cover tape facing a stripping wall of the channel. The stripping wall includes a stripping gap disposed between a stripping edge and an opposite edge, and a dispense opening provided adjacent the opposite edge on a side of the stripping wall opposite from the stripping edge.

The gumball machine also has a plurality of cylindrical supports, each having an upper end coupled to the neck portion, and a lower end having a side opening. A base is coupled to the lower end of each cylindrical support and has a bottom portion that is seated on a surface. Each side opening of each cylindrical support is positioned adjacent a ramp such that a gumball travelling through the cylindrical support is dispensed via the side opening to the ramp.

The movable dispensing guide (32) has a retracted position that does not prevent the advance of tablets along the dispensing path, and an advanced position that intersects the dispensing path between the first and second tablets (22, 24) in the dispensing path. When advanced, the movable dispensing guide allows the first tablet in line to be dispensed from the path, and prevents the second tablet in line from advancing. An actuator is operable to move the movable dispensing guide from its retracted position to its advanced position.

The plate on its upper side exhibits a depression around each orifice, in conjunction with which the base of the depression are curved, the periphery of the depression exhibits an elliptical, oval or spindle-shaped form at the level of the surface of the plate, the mid-point of the orifice in each case lies on the mid-point of the longitudinal axis and the transverse axis of the periphery of the depression, and the base of the depression is inclined towards the mid-point of the orifice along the longitudinal axis.

When the aforementioned door (15) is open, the container (2) can be refilled or removed, the coin selector (6) can be removed and the collection box (52) can be accessed without the use of tools.

The plate can be held in an initial position wherein the first and second windows are aligned, whilst the third and fourth windows are not aligned. The outer sleeve is rotatable to a condition wherein the first and second windows are not aligned and the plate can then be slid across to a condition wherein the third and fourth windows are aligned to allow pills in a bottle to enter the inner sleeve.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for efficient dispensing of desiccant canisters into containers is disclosed. The apparatus includes a microprocessor that monitors a plurality of sensors, and applies control signals to a servomotor that controls a rotary disc that transports desiccant canisters from a drop chute to containers. The containers pass through the apparatus via a conveyor system. Control signals determine the position and presence of desiccant canisters and containers to ensure proper operation. Error detection and recovery features are provided to handle the case of a missing desiccant canister, and halt the apparatus upon detection of an unrecoverable error.

The bracket is secured by a locking screw which can only be accessed when the globe is removed, which requires that the lid of the globe be removed. Each vending machine is thus affixed to the stand by both its base and its lid, rendering the vending machine island substantially more resistant to theft and vandalism.

The candies can subsequently be dispensed from the magazine when the dispenser is inverted. A manually-operated plunger mechanism then removes the candies from the magazine. The dispenser provides a sanitary container for the candies and also provides operating interest to the user. Additional candies can be loaded into the dispensation magazine by replacing the loading container.

Abstract: A conveniently sized and reusable animal treat dispenser (treat(s) will herein after be referred to as positive reinforcement(s)) for use in providing positive reinforcements, in an immediate and non-distracting manner, to reward and reinforce specific behaviors. Generally, the treat dispenser consists of a loading port, housing area, transfer mechanism, dispensing port and spring loaded clip. The treat dispenser is designed for temporary attachment to the trainer's garment; for receiving and housing multiple positive reinforcements; for dispensing a single positive reinforcement upon demand and for automatically reloading a single positive reinforcement for use in continued training. The housing area is lined with a felt or cloth material to reduce noise caused by the treats striking one another or the housing area walls.

Abstract: The present invention provides a tablet packing apparatus which is possible to feed specially administrative tablets separately from general tablets. Specially administrative tablets are contained in a feeder vessel. A tablet reserving member 200 is disposed below the feeder vessel 36. A shutter 203 which is movable to open and close the lower opening of the tablet reserving member 200 is provided. When setting the tablet vessel beneath the tablet reserving member 200 and moving the shutter 203 to open the lower opening of the tablet reserving member 200, the specially administrative tablets are fed into the tablet vessel without passing through the common passage.
