Abstract: Disclosed is a dispensing carton (200) containing a clip of interfolded sheets of a paper product, comprising: (a) a top wall (100) having a dispensing opening (180) through which the sheets (280) are withdrawn from the carton; (b) two pairs of opposing side walls (120, 140); (c) a bottom wall; (d) a dynamic friction reduction material (20) affixed to at least a portion of the inner surfaces of at least one of the pairs of opposing side walls; wherein the dispensing force required to dispense a sheet from the carton is reduced.

Abstract: The present invention provides a container for dispensing articles from first and second stacks within the container. The container has an upper panel with a first dispensing opening formed therein for dispensing articles and a lower panel with a second dispensing opening formed therein for dispensing articles. A panel for separating the first and second stacks of articles is provided within the container. The first stack of articles may be dispensed through the first dispensing opening so that the container may be turned over and the second stack of articles may be dispensed through the second dispensing opening.

Abstract: A tissue box (10) for dispensing tissues, said tissue box includes a bottom wall (18) having a second aperture (21) for allowing tissues (22, 22′) to be pulled from inside of the box and a side wall (14) extending between the top wall (16) and the bottom wall (18). The side wall defines a void inside the box for containing tissues. The tissue box also includes a dividing wall (24) within the void. The dividing wall is supported between the top wall and the bottom wall and is for dividing the tissues into a first group (22) that are able to be removed through the first aperture (20) and a second group (22′) that are able to be removed through the second aperture. In use, after the first group of tissues is used, the box may be inverted, so that the second group of tissues may be used.

Abstract: A storage and dispensing package for wipes comprising a non-rigid container having sides which define a cavity. A collapsible-expandable baffle structure having a width is positioned within the sides of the container and divides the cavity into a storage portion for wipes and a dispensing portion. The baffle structure includes a dispensing orifice through which wipes can pass and communicate with the dispensing portion. A resealable mechanism can also be included at an end of the package.

Abstract: A curl reducing adapter kit for a napkin dispenser used for dispensing interfolded napkins including an enclosure with a dispensing wall defining a dispensing slot and a slidably mounted, biased pressure carriage adapted to advance a stack of napkins in the enclosure toward the dispensing wall includes a tongue for mounting about the dispensing wall such that the tongue projects into the dispensing slot and narrows the slot. The tongue further includes a plurality of friction tabs configured to project inwardly into the enclosure from the upper inner lip of the dispensing slot and frictionally engage the napkins to limit bulge through the slot.

Abstract: A dusting mitt dispensing device includes a container and a plurality of dusting mitts housed in the container. The container includes a bottom, a top, a front-side, a back-side and two lateral sides in which the top is integrally connected to the back-side along a top/back-side seam, and has cover flaps to cover the front-side and both lateral sides. The top is free to pivot about the top/back-side seam between a closed position and an open position, and contains a perforation pattern that forms an access flap and dispensing opening when the perforations are torn and the flap is opened. The access flap is integrally connected to the front side cover flap along a top/front-side flap seam, and is free to pivot about the top/front-side flap seam between a closed position and an open position in a direction opposite to the pivot direction of the top. Each of the plurality of dusting mitts is folded individually along its longitudinal axis and arranged to present the thumb of the dusting mitt as a removal tab.

Abstract: Disclosed is a sheet package including: a sheet stack formed by folding and stacking rectangular sheets; and a container having a dispensing opening through which the sheets are to be removed. Each sheet is first folded on an X-axis folding line substantially parallel to one side of the rectangular shape, and then folded on a Y-axis folding line substantially perpendicular to the X-axis folding line, thereby to form a folded sheet having two outermost sheet portions appearing on two external surfaces thereof and intermediate sheet portions positioned between the outermost sheet portions. Adjacent folded sheets are combined such that X-axis folding lines of the adjacent folded sheets are positioned at opposite sides of the sheet stack and only an outermost sheet portion of one folded sheet is sandwiched between an outermost sheet portion and an intermediate sheet portion of the other folded sheet.

Abstract: A dental wiper provides a package having a front panel, a rear panel and a circumferential side panel joining the front and rear panels as an integral unit defining an interior space. The front panel provides an open slot extending substantially across the package. The open slot has a central access portion with clearance for finger tip entry into the interior space of the package. A plurality of dental sheets are arranged in a stack within the package. The dental sheets each have a width approximately equal to the slot width where the dental sheets position one edge of the sheets, adjacent to the access portion of the slot for being manually engaged for withdrawal. The sheets are useful for cleaning the surfaces of the teeth.

Abstract: A dusting mitt dispensing device includes a container and a plurality of dusting mitts housed in the container. The container includes a bottom, a top, a front-side, a back-side and two lateral sides in which the top is integrally connected to the back-side along a top/back-side seam, and has cover flaps to cover the front-side and both lateral sides. Abstract: In a gravity-feed towel dispenser for dispensing C-fold and interfolded towels having a transverse length, L, through an elongated bottom dispensing aperture having a length of L or greater, an adapter plate for securing to the bottom portion of the towel dispenser is configured to abridge the length of the dispensing aperture to a length, L′ of from about 80 percent to about 90 percent of the transverse length L of the interfolded towels. In a preferred embodiment the adapter plate is provided with a pair of upwardly inclined terminal portions projecting laterally and upwardly at each end of the adapter plate.

Abstract: Provided is a sheet package including a stack of sheets having a plurality of sheets folded about fold lines and arranged in a vertically stacked configuration, and a receptacle for containing the stack of sheets which is made of hard or soft material and has a dispensing opening in a top surface thereof. The stack of sheets includes an upper layer of a plurality of sheets located in the vicinity of the dispensing opening, and a lower layer of a plurality of sheets located under the upper layer. The width of the upper layer is smaller than that of the lower layer in a direction perpendicular to the fold lines of the sheets.

Abstract: An improved system for a towelette/napkin dispenser consisting of a two piece unit, the box member is attached together with the back door plate member with two living hinges at the top rear at the top of each side and a rivet or pin holds them together. The device includes a clear body for the dispenser for viewing the action of the towelettes/napkins inside the center of the body for refilling purposes. A bottom access door or box member of the container moveable from an initial position or dispensing position to an upward loading position for insertion of towelettes/napkins upward into the box member, providing a way to insert the towelettes/napkins into the dispenser body and a latch to keep it closed to keep the towelettes/napkins from falling out of the dispenser or box member when in the dispensing position.

That padding means is provided in that at least some of said sheets having patterns of coadhesive coated on their major surfaces, which patterns of coadhesive are adhered to patterns of coadhesive on adjacent sheets in the stack and releasably adhere parts of the major surfaces of adjacent sheets in the stack together in surface to surface relationship until the patterns of coadhesive are peeled apart.

Abstract: An overfill prevention system for an folded sheet dispenser. The system is composed of: 1) a cover including a front face, a first side panel, a second side panel and a top panel; 2) a mounting frame adapted to hold a supply of folded sheets and to engage the cover, the mounting frame including a back panel and a bottom portion having at least one dispensing opening; and 3) at least one overfill bracket movably connected to the mounting frame such that an over-capacity of folded sheets in the mounting frame displaces the overfill bracket to prevent the mounting frame from engaging the cover. The system may include means to prevent deformation of the cover to override an overfill bracket displaced by an over-capacity of folded sheets. The system may include over-fill bracket with sloped surface to prevent folded sheets from being positioned over the overfill bracket. Desirably, the cover is pivotally attached to the mounting frame by links.

Abstract: An improved folded absorbent paper product includes first, central panel; a second panel, unitary with the first panel and folded over a first side of said first panel; a third panel, unitary with the first panel, and folded over a second side of the first panel; a fourth panel, unitary with the second panel, and folded so as to be positioned between the first and second panels; and a fifth panel that is unitary with the third panel and folded so as to be positioned between said first and third panels. Advantages of the improved product include an optimization of weight to space considerations, the fact that exposed edges are kept out of view, an ability to work in a gravity feed dispenser in any of four possible orientations, and an assurance of double ply strength at intended gripping locations. A method of dispensing and of use is also disclosed.

Abstract: A dispensing container for a plurality of like flat, thin products disposed in stacked relationship within the container and including a tear-away closure tab whose removal results in an opening through a front panel of the container through which the level of products within the container may be observed and individual ones of the products may be removed from the container. The opening is defined by a unique plurality of perforations and cuts through the thickness of the front panel of the container and has a profile resembling an inverted funnel. A blank for making the carton from a single sheet of material is disclosed.

Abstract: A folded paper napkin includes four paper sheet panels interconnected by fold lines. The folded paper napkin is for dispensing from a paper napkin dispenser having a dispenser opening. A grasping tab is presented to the user at the dispenser opening to retrieve the paper napkin therefrom whether the paper napkin is positioned frontwards or backwards in the dispenser.

Abstract: A tissue package comprising a plurality of tissues and a dispensing package. The plurality of tissues is compressed in two discrete stages, each of which stage can be released independently from the other. The first stage of compression is less than the second stage of compression. The tissues are transported and stored while under the second stage of compression. The user releases the second stage of compression, whereby the tissues can expand up to the first stage of compression. The user releases the first stage of compression just before installing the plurality of tissues into a dispensing package or dispenses the tissues through a restraint while they are held in the first stage compression.

Abstract: Described is a dispenser for sheets received in a cavity in the dispenser that are pulled through an outlet opening in a top wall of the dispenser. The dispenser has access openings that afford inspection of the number of sheets remaining in the dispenser and facilitate engagement of a persons finger with the end portion of one of the sheets that projects through the outlet opening; a cover for the top wall when the dispenser is not in use; and separable portions that allow sheets to be positioned in the cavity. The dispenser can be included in an assembly further including a support member along which the dispenser is releasably attached, which support member can support one or more such dispensers together with dispensers for other items such as tape flags.

Abstract: A tissue package comprising a dispensing package and tissues. The dispensing package has a dispensing opening which constricts the tissues as they are withdrawn through the opening. The tissues are disposed in the dispensing package in a non-interleaved pattern. Each tissue is releasably attached to the adjacent tissue, so that upon withdrawal through the dispensing opening, the tissue pulls an adjacent tissue through the dispensing opening. Both reach-in and pop-up dispensing are possible.

Abstract: A dispenser having a top surface and a front surface with a cut-out extending between the front and top surfaces with slits extending from sides of said cut-out along the front surface. A stack of plastic bags or plastic sheet pick-up tissues are arranged in the dispenser and are dispensed by grasping an uppermost one via the cut-out and pulling outward with the bags being pulled one at a time through the cut-out and slits. The bags may be sculptured with a wave pattern defining a periphery of the corner regions on either side of the mouth of the bag.

Abstract: A sheet dispenser or sheet dispenser subassembly including a coherent stack of tape flags or other adhesive-bearing sheets that can be unobtrusively permanently or removably adhered on a page of a book, catalog, brochure, etc., because it has a supple cover layer that is a thin, tear-resistant polymeric film. The dispenser subassembly has a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on a peripheral portion of the cover layer by which it can be adhered to the page which then serves as a back layer for the dispenser, whereas the dispenser includes a bottom layer on an outer surface of which is a layer of pressure-sensitive adhesive layer by which the dispenser can be adhered to a surface.

Abstract: The present invention relates primarily to folded fabric products, such as baby wipes, hand wipes, fabric softener sheets, and the like. Folded individual sheets include a visual indicator, such as a line of contrasting color, at the location of the sheet which should be removed first by the user. In a preferred example, folded baby wipes include moistened, non-woven fabric, folded in such a way that the visual indicator is located at the top of each folded sheet. A plurality of sheets can be stacked in a tub or container. Removal of one sheet will present the indicator of the next lower.

Abstract: A dispenser for flexible sheets from a stack of adhesive coated sheets disposed one on top of another. The dispenser comprises a first housing portion including a bottom wall, end walls, side walls and a first top wall portion; and a second housing portion comprising a second top wall portion mounted on the first housing portion for movement between a normal position where the top wall portions define an outlet opening for the sheets between adjacent ends, and an open position with the second top wall portion spaced from the first wall portion to afford inserting a stack of sheets into the cavity. The dispenser includes attaching means adapted for releasably attaching the dispenser to several different retaining means including a strap by which the dispenser can be secured on a user's hand or wrist; a support member adapted to be held between user's fingers; a weighted base; or a base adapted to be attached to a surface by various means such as adhesive, suction cups or magnetic material.

Abstract: A generally rectangular sheet is folded upon itself along a first crease that is parallel with two edges of the sheet. The position of the fold is located to create a structure having a region of double thickness but in which one of the edges is offset from the other. The folded structure is folded upon itself along a second crease that is parallel with the first crease to provide a first flap of double thickness that lies upon one surface of the structure. The structure also is folded upon itself along a third crease that is parallel with the first and second edges and within the region of double thickness to provide a second flap lying upon the one surface. In the totally folded sheet, the one of the edges is closer to the center of the sheet than the other edge. A unique dispenser is provided which allows the user to grasp only the one edge so that the sheet product unfolds completely when pulled from the dispenser.

Abstract: Apparatus for dispensing individual sheets from the center of a coreless roll product comprised of a plurality of the sheets forming a wound web. A dispenser nozzle is connected to a support for supporting the coreless roll. The dispenser nozzle has interconnecting portions, one of which has a truncated cone-like configuration and the other of which has a cylindrical configuration. The portion of the nozzle having the cylindrical configuration is located at the exit opening of the nozzle to provide increased contact area for sheets passing therethrough to reduce wear and extend the life of the nozzle.

Abstract: The combination of (1) sheets of note paper in a stack with each of the sheets having a narrow band of adhesive coated on its bottom surface along one edge by which the sheet is adhered to the top surface of the adjacent sheet in the stack, the sheets being stacked with the band of adhesive of adjacent sheets at alternate opposite sides of the stack, and (2) a dispenser comprising a housing closely receiving the top, bottom and first side surfaces of the stack of sheets. The housing includes a top wall of flexible material adjacent the top surface of the stack, which top wall has through flanking slits parallel to and flanking side surfaces of the stack and generally centered along those side surfaces, and spaced edge surfaces extending between the flanking slits. The flanking slits and edge surfaces define two opposed flap like portions of the top wall and a slot through the top wall between the flap like portion through which slot projects a portion of the uppermost sheet in the stack.

Abstract: A dispenser for folded sheet products including a housing accommodating a stack of the products, a dispenser element disposed at the lower end of the housing and having an opening through which the products are serially dispensed, and a blocking member which obstructs the interior of the housing above the stack after the stack has shortened to a predetermined degree to prevent an upward force exerted against the stack from moving the stack from dispensing position.

Abstract: A pocket dispenser of facial tissues comprising a container which is readily openable for replenishing the supply of facial tissues therewithin and having an opening adjacent to which one end of a layer of separate facial tissues is disposed for ready withdrawal of separate tissues through the opening, the layer of separate tissues being consecutively oppositely folded longitudinally at least twice, one of the reverse folds being disposed adjacent the bottom of the container and the tissue disposed most closely to the opening being the inside tissue within the latter fold whereby same may be readily removed from the layer. Expandable positioning panels are disposed within the folds for aiding in maintaining the layer of tissues in position and properly oriented.

Abstract: A method for producing a serialized bundle of thermoplastic T-shirt grocery bags which serially open upon being dispensed. Specifically, a bag being removed from the serialized bundle of thermoplastic T-shirt grocery bags mounted on a dispensing rack automatically opens an immediately following and trailing bag. The bags of the serialized bundle are coextruded to have at least two layers, an inside layer having a low coefficient of friction and an outside layer having a high coefficient of friction. A relatively low coefficient of friction between two inside layers allows each bag to easily open; a relatively high coefficient of friction between the outside layers allows a leading bag to entrain a trailing bag. Entraining structures are provided into and between the respective bags which permit the bags to be keyed together at their high friction outside layers and separate at their low friction inside layers.

Abstract: Dispensable sanitary towels for storage in a container dispenser having a wall defining a slot area through which the towels are dispensed, the towels being imbued with one or more substances selected from the group consisting of disinfectants, deodorizers and detergents, and folded lengthwise and traversely, the traversed fold providing two horizontally superposed layers the edges of which are offset from each other, wherein the towels are capable of being stacked independently in the container with one of the offset edges of the towel to be dispensed retained by the wall defining the slot area and the other offset edge located in the slot area and provided with two protruding parts, the protruding parts being located on the same side of the open towel.

Abstract: Paper handkerchiefs pack having a stack of folded handkerchiefs 3 enclosed on all sides by a foil envelope 2. The handkerchiefs 3 have a fold which has an edge 6 at the outside of the folded handkerchief that lies free with the two edges 7, 8 extending from it, one of these edges 7 running in the middle of the longitudinal extent of the surface of the handkerchief from one longitudinal edge thereof to the other longitudinal edge thereof and the other of these edges running along a longitudinal edge of the folded handkerchief. To form a dispenser opening, a line of weakness 4 is provided which extends over the middle of the broad upper surface 5 of the foil envelope.

Abstract: In order to facilitate lifting a booster cloth containing a detergency booster and which dissolves in water during washing from a stack arranged in a dispenser without any special aids, a curved incision is made at the center of gravity of the cloth and the stack of cloths is mounted in an upwardly convex arcuate fashion in such a way that a tab area projects upward from the surface of the cloth along the incision.

Abstract: A temporary protective cover for an automobile seat or the like which comprises an elongated strip of film with a pocket or cap at the upper end that fits over the upper end of the set, with the remaining portion of the film extending downwardly over the front surface of the seat. The film is a co-extruded film formed of two different thermoplastic materials having different cling properties, such that a sticky side of the film faces inwardly against the seat and a slippery side faces outwardly. High density polyethylene forms one surface and low density or linear low density polyethylene forms the other surface. A seat cover thus formed clings to the seat and prevents dislodging of the seat cover even though the seat cover may be subjected to a sideways displacement force when a person or other object slides across the exterior surface of the seat cover.

Abstract: An apparatus for dispensing a single cup-shaped paper coffee filter from the top of a stack of filters 100 is described which includes a base 11 having upper and lower surface, 11a and 11b in which the upper surface is for splaying the stack of filters. A compression plate 13 supported by a pivot pin 14 is mounted adjacent the upper surface of the base for splaying the stack of coffee filters, and a backstop 17 is mounted adjacent to the compression plate on the top of the base for bending the stack of coffee filters enabling a single coffee filter to be dispensed from the stack. The base includes suction cups for mounting the apparatus to a hard surface while dispensing.

Abstract: In order to facilitate lifting a booster cloth containing a detergency booster and which dissolves in water during washing from a stack arranged in a dispenser without any special aids, a curved incision is made at the center of gravity of the cloth and the stack of cloths is mounted in an upwardly convex arcuate fashion in such a way that a tab area projects upward from the surface of the cloth along the incision.

Abstract: A package of imbricated bags is provided that is adapted for dispensing and opening such bags one at a time. The package includes a chain of adhesively imbricated bags in overlying sequence, each bag being adhesively but releasably attached to adjacent bags and having an open mouth end directed toward the leading end of the chain, and a container for the chain having an elongate, constricted opening through which the leading end of the chain is directed. The length of the opening is less than the bag chain width by a selected extent sufficient to cause the mouth of each bag to open in response to transverse constriction as the chain is advanced through the opening, provided that the width of the opening is sufficiently narrow so as to resistively confront the lower edge of the mouth of a bag being pulled through the opening. A method for making the bag package is also provided.

Abstract: Tissue dispensing system for dispensing a stack of interleaved facial tissues from a wall mounted type dispensing cabinet employs a plastic overwrap package of facial tissues having a perforated opening which automatically adheres a front face of the package to a slot in the cabinet to provide inproved tissue dispensing. As each tissue is dispensed, tensile forces are applied to the front face of the package along defined lines by the edges of the tissue passing past the corners of the opening in the package causing the front face of the package to bend into a truncated, hip-roof shaped structure having the truncated end depending from the slot in the cabinet.

Abstract: A storage box for wet-tissues arranged in a stack in said box. The box is provided in its upper surface with an opening, which normally is closed by a tongue-shaped sealing member being attached to one end of the upper surface of the box and having such length and breadth that a substantially moisture-tight seal is provided.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a sanitary tubular napkin for male hygiene; and is directed to urinal or toilet-towl disposable napkins that comprise an absorbent material. The disclosed napkins are formed into a set of napkins that are joined together; and the set of napkins is placed in a dispenser. A separating means permits the removal of one napkin, and positions the subsequent napkin in a position for subsequent removal.

Abstract: Towelette dispenser and vapor impervious pouch containing a roll or web of absorbent material, such as nonwoven fibrous towelettes pre-moistened with a chemical-containing aqueous or other fluid solution. The pouch is sealed before use to prevent the loss of moisture from the pre-moistened towelette roll and is opened at the point of, and at the time of, first use. A double lid is adapted to provide moisture seal between usages of the pre-moistened towelette, while reducing dehydration of the opened towelette pouch within the dispenser. Feed slit adaptations in the lid provide for selective tearability of individual towelette portions from the roll. The dispenser is adapted to provide a low center of gravity, and the base of the dispenser can cooperatingly engage a wall-type holder. The towelette roll contains a leader adapted for ease of feeding through the feed slot upon first use.
