  • Patent number: 12239265
Abstract: A method of determining the volume of fluid contained in a collapsible bottle, the collapsible bottle containing a fluid to be dispensed from a fluid dispenser. The fluid dispenser has a distance measuring sensor, and the collapsible bottle is coupled to the fluid dispenser so that a preselected surface of the collapsible bottle is positioned in a measurement path of the sensor. The fluid dispenser is activated to dispense an allotment of the fluid from the collapsible bottle, the collapsible bottle collapsing in a predictable manner as the fluid is dispensed from the collapsible bottle. The sensor is used to measure a distance between the sensor and the preselected surface of the collapsible bottle, the distance changing predictably as the collapsible bottle collapses. The volume of the fluid contained in the collapsible bottle is determined based on the distance between the sensor and the preselected surface of the collapsible bottle.

  • Patent number: 11884531
Abstract: Kegs of beer may be connected in parallel alongside one or more valves that connect to a flushing fluid supply. When a beer is selected, the associated beer valve opens so that beer can be dispensed. After a pour is completed, the system automatically flushes the beverage tubing line clean by opening a flushing fluid valve, allowing flushing fluid to cleanse the line. This flushing of the line enables the system to dispense a beer from a recently flushed line for each pour, and/or dispense many different beers because leftovers of a beer from an earlier pour do not contaminate the line for later pours. The system is also configured to measure the time poured based on information from a sensor in a dispenser (e.g., a tap handle). The time poured and a measured flow rate are used to calculate the total price to charge a customer for the beer.

  • Patent number: 11851256
Abstract: The present application relates to a system for evacuating fluid from a flexible container. The system includes a spout connected to a flexible container. A passageway within the spout is in fluid communication with an inside of the flexible container, and the passageway has a top end and a bottom end. An evacuation facilitating structure is positioned proximate the bottom end of the passageway and has a fluid channel therethrough. The evacuation facilitating structure blocks portions of the wall of the flexible container from entering the bottom end of the passageway and preventing fluid from evacuating the container via the passageway.
