Once the pressure sensitive adhesive of the reclose region is exposed, the action of the user can serve to adhere the pressure sensitive adhesive to itself and/or other portions of the film, such that the package is cinched in the area of the reclose region and maintains the remnants of the package contents within the reclosed package for later use.

When a user pulls on the overhang, the seal-on cover tears along the tear line and exposes a portion of the volume.

The valve assembly provides for the egress of fluid from the flexible container such that the interior surfaces flexible container do not block or otherwise prevent fluid flow or fluidic communication between the interior of the flexible container and the valve assembly. The portion of the valve assembly within the interior of the flexible container includes a support structure that prevents the walls of the flexible container from collapsing down on, and blocking either completely or in part, fluid flow through the opening of the valve inside of the flexible container.
