A total-use dispenser may have a body forming an enclosure having both a top opening and a bottom outlet and a tapering portion that tapers down toward the bottom outlet and a pump configured in the top opening to dispense the fluid product from the dispenser. The pump may be configured in the top opening to pump air into the rigid body to force fluid product therefrom. The fluid product may be dispensed from a bottom outlet or from a spout coupled with a spout conduit that extends into the squeezable body of the total-use dispenser. The total-use dispenser enables substantially all the fluid product to be dispensed from the enclosure, such as at least 90% by weight, at least 97% by weight and most preferably 99% or more by weight.

A compartment set into the upper portion includes an upper surface, sidewalls, and sink pan with drain at the bottom. A faucet is set into the upper surface, oriented downward and including an aerator for aerating or misting the stream of water (from an aircraft water supply) dispensed by the faucet. The faucet may be activated by a switch directly above the compartment so that a crewmember may wash their hands under the faucet. A perforated plate set above the sink pan prevents the water from splashing out of the sink pan. The interior of the handwashing station may also provide an extension of the adjacent workdeck surface when the faucet and sink are not in use.

The dielectric material may form a barrier that prevents harmful interactions between the memory material and the material that makes up the electrode plane. In some cases, the dielectric material may also be positioned between the memory material and the conductive pillar to form a second dielectric barrier. The second dielectric barrier may increase the symmetry of the memory array or prevent harmful interactions between the memory material and an electrode cylinder or between the memory material and the conductive pillar.

In the operating position, the mixer geometry substantially encloses the moving parts of the mixer, preventing personnel from coming in contact with moving parts. The geometry also acts to contain dusts and vapors. A safety control circuit ensures that the impeller motor will not operate unless the vessel and the shroud are both in their respective operating position. In the operating position, the impeller shaft axis is strategically offset from the vessel axis to reduce large vortices and associated aeration. When the movable head is in the retracted position, the impeller is positioned over a removable drip cup to prevent residue from dripping on the floor or machine frame.

A hybrid packet can be formed by feeding a sheet of dissolvable paper and a film of PVA material into the packet forming machine to form a hybrid packet having one side formed of the paper and the opposing side formed of the PVA material. The PVA sheet and paper panels are fused together by the machine to form a sealed interior compartment that holds the deodorizing chemicals. A serrated knife edge can be used to pierce the paper and PVA layers to separate individual packets. Reduced water volume in the forming operation avoids compromising the dissolvable paper portion of the hybrid packet. The packet contents can include citric acid and sodium bicarbonate.

A chemical dispensing system includes a system controller, machine interface, and pump controller that communicate through serial data buses. The pump controller monitors pump status and dispenses product in response to commands from the system controller. The pump controller: (1) determines pump activation periods based on calibration data stored in a pump controller memory; (2) tracks pump usage and adjusts the activation period to compensate for pump wear as the pump ages; (3) disables the pump if conditions exists that preclude operating the pump; (4) monitors product levels, and (5) reports pump status to the system controller.
