Abstract: A timed brewing device includes a container (1) combined with a base (2) with which the former communicates via a first passage (1c) provided in the bottom wall (1e) thereof. The base (2) includes a brewing compartment (3) receiving a removable chamber wall which is pervious to water and which is capable of receiving a material to be brewed. A transversely movable valve (4) enables the brewing chamber to be selectively placed in contact (3) with the inner space of the container (1) via the first passage (1c). The valve (4) is actuated by an actuating device, which moves the valve into the closed position after a predetermined amount of time. During brewing, a pump (21) intermittently circulates the brewed liquid between the bottom of the brewing compartment (3) and a second passage (1d) of the container (1).
Abstract: A portable cleaning apparatus may include a handle and a wheel rotatably mounted to the handle. Pressurized fluid may enter the apparatus, and a fluid flow director directs the fluid to scrubbing elements to rotate the wheel. The scrubbing elements may be secured to the wheel, and different types of treatment material dispensing systems are operable to apply treatment material to the scrubbing elements.
Abstract: A portable cleaning apparatus includes a handle (11) and a wheel (13) rotatably mounted to the handle and the wheel having a plurality of scrubbing elements (74). Pressurized fluid enters the apparatus and a fluid flow director (16) delivers the fluid to the scrubbing elements to rotate the wheel. The scrubbing elements can be secured to the wheel to limit pivoting movement of the scrubbing elements in a direction of rotation of the wheel while permitting greater pivoting movement of the scrubbing elements in direction opposite the direction of rotation of the wheel. Different types of treatment material dispensing systems (100) are operable position a flow director to spin a dispenser of treatment material, or to position a dispenser in the rotational path of the scrubbing elements, to apply treatment material to the scrubbing elements.
Abstract: An apparatus for supplying a constant amount of abrasives that can accurately control the amount of the abrasives to be supplied to a blasting machine is provided. A horizontally rotating disc 20 is provided in an abrasive tank 10 so as to be embedded in the abrasives. An opening at one end 11a of an abrasive transport path 11 is formed so as to be close to or in contact with one surface of the disc 20, an opening at one end 12a of a supply channel 12 for transport air flow is formed so as to be close to or in contact with the other surface of the disc 20, and an abrasive retrieve section 5 is formed between the both openings. Furthermore, measuring holes 21 penetrating the disc 20 in the thickness direction are formed at regular intervals along a rotation orbit of the disc 20 passing through the retrieve section 5, and an introduction path 17 for compressed gas which is ejected to the abrasives disposed above the measuring holes 21 and outside the retrieve section 5 is provided.
Abstract: To provide an apparatus for supplying a constant quantity of abrasive that can accurately control abrasive quantity supplied to a blasting machine. A rotating disk 20 that rotates in the horizontal direction is provided inside an abrasive tank 10, with a gap 3 being capable to rotate the rotating disk 20, being formed at an end 11a of a mixed fluid flow path 11 arranged on one surface of the rotating disk 20, and at an end 12a of a gas flow path 12 arranged facing other surface of the rotating disk 20 via the rotating disk 20 at the end 11a of the mixed fluid flow path 11. Hole sections 21 are provided in the rotating disk 20 on a rotation locus passing through the gap 3, equally spaced and passing through in a thickness direction of the rotating disk 20, with stirrer blades 22 protruding from the upper surface of the rotating disk 20, and the rotating disk 20 being immersed in abrasive stored inside the abrasive tank 10, except for a part positioned in the gap 3.
Abstract: A volumetric solid and liquid dispenser includes a drum sized for receiving and containing a predetermined volume of solid material from a solid material supply source. The supply source can be a hopper positioned above the drum. The drum is rotatably mounted to a support frame and can be rotated from a position in which it receives solid material from the supply source to a dispensing position in which it dispenses the solid material into a receptacle below. A liquid metering and dispensing container dispenses a predetermined volume of liquid into the receptacle for mixing with the solid material. The invention is particularly useful for dispensing predetermined volumes of sand and water into a cement mixer for mixing with mortar.
Abstract: A toner bottle has a concavity on one endface, connector ribs are provided on the interior wall of the concavity. A drive system is provided with a torque limiter and a retraction mechanism for retracting a drive member in an opposite direction from the toner bottle when there is insufficient connection between the toner bottle and the drive member. Accordingly, the drive system is not damaged when a user mistakenly rotates an installed toner bottle. A drive member for connection with ribs of the toner bottle, and a drive shaft for transmitting a rotational force to the drive member and a coupling also provided. At least two connector projections are provided on the toner bottle to engage connectors provided on the coupling. The coupling is rotated to a predetermined fixed position and stopped via a sensor when a toner bottle is not installed, so that when a user inserts a toner bottle into the coupling, connection between the toner bottle and the coupling is possible only at the predetermined position.
Abstract: A multi-purpose gas heated cooking apparatus has a framework rack for holding a cooking container to be heated to cook the container's contents. The cooking apparatus has a shelf which can be positioned in a plurality locations within the framework rack for supporting a cooking container and the cooking apparatus has a centrally positioned hook at the top of the framework for hanging a cooking container such as a hanging kettle. A cooking container supported within the apparatus can be heated with propane gas burned in a specially adapted propane gas burner which itself can at least partially support a cooking container. The shelf and the specially adapted propane burner can be positioned in several different ways depending upon the type of cooking to be done and cooking container to be used. The apparatus can be alternately used for frying, stewing in an old-fashioned type kettle, deep-frying in an old-fashioned type kettle, steaming, or grilling.
Abstract: A hummingbird feeder that rotates to position a feeding hole in close proximity to the level of the liquid contained therein. The feeder, basically circular in cross section, is mounted to allow rotation around the axial center of the circular cross section. One face of the feeder has a hole through which the humming birds drink the liquid. Concentric to the hole is a floatation device which maintains the position of the hole in the close proximity to the surface of the liquid. As the liquid level lowers, the entire assembly rotates to maintain the hole position immediately above the liquid level.
Abstract: An apparatus of this invention for dispensing particles into an annular pattern is preferably employed in relining a foundry furnace. The furnace relining operation comprises positioning an expendable steel form in the furnace spaced apart from an outer wall, filling the annular space with refractory particles, and sintering the particles into a continuous lining. The apparatus of this invention comprises a platform removably positioned atop the form and having a circular track. The apparatus further comprises a carriage rotatably mounted on the platform and riding on wheels that travel along the circular track. A supply of the refractory particles is loaded into a hopper carried by the carriage. A feeder conveys particles from the hopper for discharge into the space. During use, the carriage rotates while continuously dispensing particles to uniformly distribute the particles into the space.

Abstract: A toner cartridge comprises a cylindrical cartridge body having a toner discharge port formed in a part of a peripheral surface thereof along its longitudinal direction, a pivot shaft disposed at the axis of the body, and a toner pressure feeding member joined to the pivot shaft through a plurality of connecting rods and adapted to discharge toner contained in the body from the toner discharge port. The toner pressure feeding member is disposed in parallel with the pivot shaft. Connecting rods, which are not locate in a position corresponding to the toner discharge port, are diagonally disposed with respect to the pivot shaft with an end of each of the group of connecting rods joined with the pivot shaft situated at the side where they attach toner discharge port. Abstract: An applicator for particulate carpet-cleaning compositions having a cylindrical body formed of relatively rotatable inner and outer concentric cylindrical members in 360.degree. frictional nested engagement, separately attached non-rotatably to opposite wheel members of greater diameter than the body, and having dispensing apertures in cylinder which may be closed by the other depending on relative rotational positions. The cylindrical members are relatively rotatable very easily be opposed manual rotation of the wheels to dispensing positions, a closed position, and a filling position in which major filling openings in the cylindrical members are aligned. Abstract: A parts supply hopper operatively associated with a parts feeder for supplying the latter with a predetermined amount of articles, includes a generally cup-shaped container held in an angular position and rotatably at least through an angle of 180 degrees, and a partition wall disposed in the container so as to define therebetween upper and lower chambers disposed on opposite sides of the partition wall. The partition wall has a transfer aperture communicating between the upper and lower chambers. The container has a discharge outlet opening defined in its peripheral wall and communciating with the lower chamber, the discharge outlet opening being located in diametrically opposed relation to the transfer aperture.
Abstract: Granular cattle feed is normally dispensed manually using pails, sacks or open trucks, or from hoppers. Such methods are usually labor intensive, time consuming and wasteful of feed. A solution to the problem involves a large cylindrical drum having a diameter similar to a round bale, with a plurality of cleats extending across the cylindrical end of the drum between the circular sides thereof for causing the drum to rotate when in contact with the ground, and a large dispensing opening between an adjacent pair of cleats for dispensing elongated piles of feed at spaced apart locations along the path of travel of the drum. The device can be pivotally mounted on the rear end of a truck for movement between an elevated, transport position and a ground engaging, use position.
Abstract: A sailboat chlorine dispenser is provided which will dispense chlorine more evenly due to its shape as a sailboat wherein wind will help move the dispenser around water in a pool. In a modification a sleeve containing the chlorine is rotated and activated by water movement in the pool.
Abstract: A combination tea dispenser and brewer wherein a variety of different teas are provided in individual dispensers which are located in a position to dispense tea into an area where the dispensed tea is contacted by boiling water to brew the same. Abstract: An improved apparatus for applying substances, some of which can be highly viscous in nature, to desired surfaces is disclosed. The applicator (10) can include a housing (12) defining a closed plenum (40) which is filled with a fluid medium. The housing (12) is mounted for rotation about an axis, and an applicator shoe (28) is mounted at a first end (14) of the housing (12). A duct or tubular member (22) is disposed radially inwardly from the shoe (28) with respect to the axis of rotation. Centrifugal delivery conduits (32) are provided to afford fluid communication between an interior passageway (26) of the tubular member (22) and a chamber (38) formed in the shoe (28). As the housing (12) rotates about the axis, substance introduced into the interior passageway (26) of the duct (22) is centrifugally impelled to the shoe (28) through the conduit means (32).
Abstract: A rotary driven drum-shaped dispenser for fluid materials is disclosed. The drum is comprised of a plurality of nested rings each of which has a plurality of arcuate channels through which the fluid material is passed during rotation of the drum. An adjustable valve is positioned at the inlet end of each flow channel. The end bells of the drum have covered access openings for filling the drum with fluid material to be dispensed. A divider within the drum separates the drum chamber into two chambers so that separate materials may be dispensed simultaneously without pre-mixing.
Abstract: The improved food roasting and basting device of the present invention includes a fire box with spit spaced above it and a basting unit spaced above the spit. The non-clogging basting unit includes a hollow, preferably elongated and cylindrical container with spaced aperture extending therethrough and means, such as a motor, for rotation of the container around an axis generally parallel to the spit. The spit can also be rotated, if desired, and a separate motor can be used, or a belt and pulley assembly can be employed, to rotate both the spit and basting container at the same or different speeds. The apertures in the basting container can be arranged in a spiral pattern and can be partially or fully closed, and the container can be divided internally into separate compartments for dispensing separate basting materials.
