Abstract: The present invention relates to an applicator having a press button for discharging gel-type contents, and more specifically, an applicator having a press button for discharging gel-type contents, the applicator comprising: a pump embedded in a container body; a pressing member coupled to the upper side of the pump; a link coupled to the pressing member; and a press button formed on the outside of the link. If the press button is pressed, the link is pressed, then the pressing member connected to the link presses the pump vertically, and thereby the gel-type contents filled in the container body are pumped, and discharged through a discharge member. Thus, a predetermined amount of gel-type contents can always easily be discharged for use.

The odorant may be delivered orthonasally or retronasally. The odorant may be used to stimulate or suppress appetite. In an aspect, a controllable odorant emitter is provided in an attachment that may be removably secured to an eating utensil. Related methods and systems for delivering odorant in connection with use of an eating utensil are described.

A battery-powered electric motor is mounted inside the housing and is operatively coupled to the pump actuator. Device control circuitry controls operation of the electric motor. The device control circuitry includes a processor responsive to CSF space pressure signals, outflow pressure signals, and CSF flow rate signals to calculate CSF space pressures, CSF outflow pressures, and CSF removal volumes. A telemetry unit includes a transmitter to wirelessly transmit pump data and a receiver to receive external operational commands.

An embodiment of the device comprises a tube, a disk for transferring piston pressure to the material to be dispensed and a pliable cone-shaped plastic nozzle attached to the tube. A tab attached to the disk enables latching on with a hook and removal of the disk when the material is in the tube is depleted, thus allowing refilling the tube as needed. Metal in the form of wire strands, wire mesh or coil is imbedded in the walls of the nozzle and provides pliability to the nozzle, but prevents recoil due to the characteristic memory of plastics.

A solution delivery device substantially surrounding the shank provides solution to the drill bit. The shank freely rotates within the solution delivery device. The solution delivery device includes a handle having a channel. A solution delivery control is provided to operate the valve to allow flow control of the solution to the drill bit distal end while allowing the user to maintain a grip on the handle. Additionally, the solution delivery device is positioned and constructed to provide improved control of the position of the drill bit during use.

Such apparatus and related methods facilitate initial application of the compound in an evenly distributed and desired topographical manner without requiring subsequent smoothing and/or shaping steps after contact of the compound with a surface to which it is applied.

Abstract: Fixed amounts of granular and granulated seasonings are dispensed from a rotatable disc that lies flat or horizontal and which includes a through-hole or void. The void is gravity-filled with granulated seasonings from a hole in the bottom of a hopper. A screen below the disc is formed to have open, through-holes and a solid land. The void in the disc fills with granules when the void is beneath a hole in the hopper but over a solid land thus preventing granules to spill through the disc. Rotation of the disc moves the void away from the land, allowing granules in the void to fall through holes in the screen. A gasket provides a seal between the disc and the hopper. The disc is rotated back and forth around its axis by vertical movement of an actuator about the horizontal hinge.

The dispenser includes a handle coupled to a pair of nesting roller members each having a plurality of openings with one roller member being rotatable between a position where the plurality of apertures are aligned to allow the flow of decontaminant from within the inner nesting roller member and where the plurality of apertures are not aligned to prevent the flow of decontaminant. The device may also include a fine mesh cylinder within the inner nesting roller member to substantially prevent soaking the surface with decontaminant and a storage sleeve. Other decontamination devices are also provided that includes a container of decontaminant with a removable applicator in fluid communication with the contents of the container and a wipe containing decontaminant.

Abstract: An apparatus to discharge an aerosol canister in remotely located places includes a handle that has axially opposed end portions wherein the proximal end portion detachably receives an auxiliary support pole. The handle further includes an eyelet laterally extending away therefrom and situated adjacent to the proximal end portion. An elongated arm formed from deformably resilient material has axially offset end portions secured to the distal end portion of the handle and positioned distally therefrom respectively. A mechanism is included for pivoting the arm in such a manner that the arm is engaged and disengaged with a spray nozzle of the aerosol canister. A support assembly is fastened to the arm in so that the support assembly maintains the aerosol canister at a static position when the arm is toggled between the engaged and disengaged positions, wherein the user can discharge the aerosol canister contents without directly contacting the nozzle.

The assemblies use a U-shaped coupling device having a base with a central aperture, flexible arms, and radial extensions. The radial extensions interfit with alignable radial holes on tubes to be coupled together. The central aperture guides and aligns an actuator rod. The rod can be used to remotely actuate a spray.

Abstract: The present invention is concerned with a method and apparatus for seaming together abutting side-by-side layers of planar material with adhesive and a backing tape to form a finished seam extending along the line of abutment. The method consists of laying a backing tape underneath the line of abutment between adjacent layers of planar material, such as floorcovering, followed by dispensing an adhesive along the edges of the abutting layers while simultaneously centering the backing tape with the line of abutment and dispensing adhesive on top of the backing tape. The edges of the abutting layers are then pressed together and against the backing tape until the adhesive has at least partially set thereby forming a finished seam.

Abstract: An apparatus for dispensing ice melting chemicals directly into roof gutters comprises a linearly elongated pole having two cushioned grips for comfortable holding. At the upper end of the pole, a guide hook is provided which hooks over the edge of the gutter, and properly positions a container filled with calcium chloride or other safe ice-melting chemical directly over the gutter. A lever at the bottom handle opens a release gate on the chemical container allowing a small amount of the chemical to be released into the gutter. Should the chemical clog and not be released, a separate hammer may be activated by a hammer lever to tap the chemical container and aid in the chemical release. The user would release approximately eight to twelve ounces of chemical every four to five feet along the gutter to aid in ice melting.

Abstract: A putty injection tool that is hand held and injects one shot of putty or filler material at a time into a void such as a hole left from setting a nail. The tool is cradled in the curve of the fingers with the hollow tube tip protruding past the fingers. This tool does not hold a cartridge of putty but is loaded each time with putty by pressing the hollow tip into a color matching stick of pliable putty. The tip of the hollow tube is placed against the surface of the void to be filled and the solid shaft is pressed through the hollow shaft to push out the plug of putty into the void. The tool has different sizes and shapes of hollow shafts to allow filling round nail set voids and elongated staple or T-nail voids.

The container is a collapsible container, and means for placing the container under load to eject dye from the exit port means is provided.

Abstract: A device for dispensing a quantity of granular fertilizer to an underground location. The device consists of an inner and outer tubular section with the inner tube being hollow. Both tubular sections have a lower pointed end and the inner tube is rotatably disposed within the outer tube. An inner opening and outer opening are located at the lower end of the inner and outer tubes. A funnel is provided on the inner tube as well as a handle which actuates the rotation of the inner tube. Another handle is provided on the outer tube. When the handles are in alignment the openings are not in alignment. This forms a solid outer tube. The inner tubular section is filled with fertilizer, the handles grasped firmly and the device is thrust into the ground. The inner handle is then rotated 90 degrees bringing the inner and outer openings into alignment. The device is then removed from the ground, leaving the fertilizer in the hole formed by the displaced soil.

Abstract: A solder paste applicator for dispensing a tin/lead solder in a uniform, homogeneous fashion. The solder paste applicator comprises both a mixing assembly and a plunger assembly. The mixing assembly mixes the solder until it is homogeneous and the plunger assembly is used to dispense the solder. The solder paste applicator has a tubular section, a trough section terminating in a scoop, and a collar received at the intersection of the tubular section and the trough section. The mixing assembly is received in the tubular section and is reciprocated to mix the solder.
