    Abstract: An automatic food dispensing method, apparatus and utensil primarily for use in fast food restaurants, bakeries, and the like. The method and apparatus comprise a pumping system from a supply through a pump in a controlled amount with a reverse action of the pump after the appropriate amount has been dispensed in order to avoid it dripping. Other drip proof arrangements, such as valving are also utilized optionally. The utensil comprises a handle attached to a container and spreading utensil such as a spoon, ladle, or the like, wherein predetermined portions of a food or substance used in a food may be dispensed either continually or as predetermined quantities. The device consists of a spoon or other appropriately shaped utensil attached to a hollow handle which terminates in a non interfering connection with the interior of the utensil at one end and terminates at the other end in a connection to a food supply source.

A one way valve is located in the opening of the base element to permit the flow of material from a container through the opening while preventing backflow. The system also includes a meter element which acts like an inverted trap and which has a sidewall portion and a top with an opening in the top for dispensing of the material therefrom.

    Abstract: A lockable fluid dispenser cap is used with a dispensing pump for dispensing a fluid product from a container. The closure mounts the pump in the container. The locking fingers are mounted to the closure and normally spaced in unlocking relation from the pump piston but are yieldably flexible for bending toward the piston. The lock actuating member has cam elements which upon rotation of the lock actuating member forcibly bend the fingers toward the piston and into a locking relation therewith. Reciprocal movement of the pump actuating member relative to the lock actuating member is used to actuate the piston. Also, rotational movement of the pump actuating member is used to cause rotation of the lock actuating member therewith for bending the fingers from their unlocking to locking relations.
