  • Patent number: 12076723
Abstract: A glass container is provided that includes a tube, a circular bottom, and a longitudinal axis. A curved glass heel extends from an outer end the bottom to the first end of the tube. The outer surface has a topography defined by a function ?(x) that is an azimuthal average of a distance between a contact plane and the outer surface at any given position located on a circle having the centre and the radius |x|. The values ? for ?(x) are determined for a plurality of circles the radius of which increases stepwise by 500 ?m starting with a circle around the centre having a radius of 500 ?m. The values ? are determined in a range from x=?0.4×d2/2 to x=+0.4×d2/2, d2 having a size such that at least 4 values ? are determined and can be fitted with a curvature function h ^ ? ( x ) = - c × x 2 1 + 1 - c 2 × x 2 + h 0 .

Abstract: A self-closing dispensing valve is made of an elastic material and includes a valve head with a dispensing orifice, a circular peripheral retaining flange spaced apart from the valve head in an axial direction, and a connector sleeve integrally connected with the valve head on one end and the retaining flange on another end. The elastic material is a plastomer or a thermoplastic elastomer. The connector sleeve is substantially form stable. The valve head is connected to an upper end of the connector sleeve by a hinge portion that is U-shaped in cross section. The wall thickness of the hinge portion is smaller than the wall thickness of the connector sleeve and is staggered at the transition between the connector sleeve and the hinge portion. Alternatively, if the connector sleeve is omitted, then the valve head is directly connected to the retaining flange.

Abstract: A dental pipette. The dental pipette includes a container having a chamber configured to receive and retain fluids therein. A nozzle positioned at one end of the container is in fluid communication with the chamber via a conduit. A plurality of apertures disposed on the nozzle enable fluids within the chamber to be dispensed from the nozzle. A plurality of bristles extend radially outwardly from the nozzle and taper in length from one end of the nozzle to a second end of the nozzle forming a cone-like construction. The apertures and bristles are positioned at intervals and assist with the cleaning of teeth, gums, and the like. A hollow, beveled tip disposed at one end of the nozzle facilitates easy insertion under the gum line and in between teeth. Usage of the dental pipette provides protection from gum infection, bone loss, and tooth loss.

Abstract: The dose dispense closure for a squeezable container. The closure has a body cap 20 with inlet orifices 37 and a transit orifice 34 which allows composition into the body cap. A piston 80 is provided within the body cap 20. When the container is squeezed, the piston 80 is forced down, thereby expelling liquid from a control cap 40 until the piston 80 lands on the end of a duct 60 in the control cap 40 to prevent further dispensing. When the squeezing force is removed, the piston 80 returns to its start position. The piston 80 is biased towards the end wall 33 of the body cap 20 by a compression element 87. The body cap 20 is attached directly to the container such that rotation of the body cap allows adjustment of the dosage without having to remove the body cap.
