  • Patent number: 4129338
Abstract: A cellulosic insulation blowing machine comprised of a base having a circular and shaped floor plate at its upper end and a cylindrical hopper assembly which is detachably connected over the floor plate. The shaped floor plate includes a circular horizontal center section, an integral upstanding annular vertical section and an upper outwardly and upwardly sloped section. Within the floor plate area is an agitator rotated at relatively low rpm which includes plural shaped arms corresponding to the contour of the floor plate such that the arms travel generally parallel to the foor plate. The material discharge opening is located along the vertical wall section of the floor plate and is connnected to a blower. An anti-spin bar is supported from the hopper assembly and spaced slightly above the arms of the agitator such that when the hopper is connected in an operating position, the bar is disposed diametrically over the floor plate center section in front of the discharge opening.

  • Patent number: 4129233
Abstract: Apparatus for ensuring a metered flow of dry materials such as flour and flour mixes has a chamber provided with a side opening and an upwardly opening port to receive the flow from a container for the material. A turntable within the chamber has a segment extending through the opening and shielded from the port and probes extending upwardly through the port for entry into the container to break up any bridging material therein. Material is discharged under a gate to the protruding segment of the turntable by propellers at a selected rate and volume.

  • Patent number: 4129015
Abstract: A cube ice storage and dispensing bin in the form of a large stationary elongated insulated tank of generally cylindrical configuration having a large pool of water therein maintained substantially at water freezing temperature in liquid state. The tank has a pair of longitudinally extending screw conveyor flights, which may be of skeleton-like construction, arranged along axes paralleling the longitudinal center axis of the cylindrical tank and located to opposite sides of the center axis. The screw conveyor flights are journalled in the end walls and driven at a slow speed producing gentle agitation and and tumbling of ice cubes floating in the pool to disrupt tendencies of the ice cubes to form multicube frozen blocks of ice and maintain a slurry of ice cubes and water therein.
