  • Patent number: 9649628
Abstract: A device for controlling pipetting and adjusting a volume to be sampled, including a pipetting control member; rotary actuating means coupled to the control member; a linking member slidably mounted on the actuating means, the linking member being connected to a piston; volume adjusting means; rotary means defining, for the linking member, a spiral-shaped guiding path, the rotary means being coupled to the adjusting means so that their actuation causes a rotation of the means about a second axis which the guiding path is centered, this rotation leading to a displacement of the linking member along the path, and to a sliding of the member relative to the actuating means.

  • Patent number: 9283363
Abstract: A self-contained composition dosing and delivery system provides an efficient device to store and deliver materials, particularly liquids, in a safe and controlled manner. The device also provides a dosing element internal the device chamber, thus eliminating the need for additional components. In particular, the device itself may be used to deliver liquid medicine and other compositions which are liquids, or gel-like, in controlled amounts or doses. The device may also include child-proof mechanism, or child safety feature to reduce child poisoning due to Over-the-Counter (OTC) medication overdoses.

  • Patent number: 4895278
Abstract: A stuffing-batching machine wherein the bottom of the blades pump chamber for stuffing comprises a detachable discoid plate having a recess in the top to pilot and guide the sliding blades eccentrically with respect to the chamber wall, the plate when assembled resting on an annular seat and locked in a determined angular position with respect to the chamber wall. A set of plates with different plotting of the pilot recess is provided, each plate providing a different degree of compression for the material treated. The propeller of the hopper feeding the product to be treated, is linked by a mechanical device interlocked with an annular part, associated in turn, through a ripid switch assembly, with the hopper lower section, where it remains locked by the arrangement of the propeller and is free once it is disconnected so that it can be pulled out.

  • Patent number: 4793523
Abstract: A metering mechanism comprises a housing (7) with a material inlet (12) and a rotary metering member (27) that is rotatably mounted between side walls (8,9) of the housing with its periphery exposed to a chamber (48) within the housing so as to meter material from the chamber as it rotates, characterized in that a removable insert (74) is provided that is a close fit in said chamber and has a passage (75) through it that communicates at one end with said inlet (12) and at the other end with the periphery of the rotary metering member (27) so that the effective volume of said chamber (48) is reduced to the volume of said passage (75). Thus, if the metering mechanism incorporates the known shutter-type tramlining device in which a shutter (24) serves to close the inlet (12) to the housing, the quantity of speed retained in the chamber within the housing is reduced and therefore the length of a bout that will be sown after closing the shutter will be correspondingly reduced.

  • Patent number: 4771919
Abstract: A dispensing device which includes two chambers, one for holding a resin and another for a hardener. Each chamber has an exit port formed in a neck which contains passageways leading to each of the chambers. The neck is equipped with external threads which mate with internal threads on a nozzle adjusting nut. A nozzle, which is carried by the nut can be moved from an open position to a closed position in which a portion of the nozzle's base closes the ports. A divider or tab projects from the neck at a location near and between the ports, and the nozzle has a slot to receive the divider. The divider serves to prevent mixing of the components until well after they exit the ports. The divider/slot arrangement further prevents mixing of the components by preventing relative rotation between the nozzle and the neck. Three separate sealing surfaces are formed on the base of the nozzle. One is cylindrical and seals against an O-ring carried by the neck.

Abstract: A dosing device for dosing viscous materials has a dosing cylinder for a main material and at least one dosing cylinder for an additive and a common drive for the dosing pistons of said dosing cylinders. In order to permit the simple dosing of the main material and the at least one additive in a time-constant volume ratio, and in order to permit changes to the volume ratio to be made in a simple manner, while permitting the dosing of highly viscous main materials and additives, the dosing cylinders are arranged parallel to one another and their dosing pistons are arranged to be driven with an identical stroke. The dosing piston of the at least one additive dosing cylinder is constructed as a plunger with a smaller cross-section than the cross-section of the associated dosing cylinder. In addition, the plunger is sealingly guided in an interchangeable guide bush of the dosing cylinder. Moveover, the at least one additive dosing cylinder is interchangeably connected as a subassembly to a support frame.

The unique inlet valve and piston enable the system to repetitively dispense metered volumes of fluid at better than one tenth of one percent accuracy. A unique calibration mechanism and detachable dispensing head allow for the rapid disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly of the system. An alternative embodiment of the pumping system incorporates a plurality of dispensing nozzles controlled by a single inlet valve and pumping piston combination.
