Retractable Projections Patents (Class 222/291)
  • Patent number: 7044338
Abstract: A multi-element spray delivery system for targeted delivery of product from aerosol spray cans comprising an aerosol can button having a short connector tube connecting to a removable extension tube. The system optionally includes a spray discharge limiter, and a sealing tip cap that fits over either the button connector tube or the extension tube. The selective combined use of these components permits targeted delivery of aerosolized product, including lubricants, paint, personal care products, food products, insulation and caulks, herbicides, insecticides or compressed air for more efficient and effective delivery as and where needed with reduction in waste and overspray. An extension tube keeper system is included for convenient storage of the extension tube on the can after use. The component system is also provided in a kit form either by the OEM producer of the aerosol product along with the new can, or as an after-market product.

  • Patent number: 5685463
Abstract: A combined drop and spray nozzle device for use with a pressurized container for dispensing a product contained therein as an aerosol. The device includes an axially movable delivery outlet protruding from a top portion of the pressurized container, and a removable nozzle mounted on the delivery outlet for moving the delivery outlet between a closed position wherein the product is contained in the pressurized container and an open position wherein the product is discharged through the nozzle as an aerosol. A valve mechanism is axially movable in the nozzle with respect to the delivery outlet to open and close a predetermined portion of the delivery outlet, and a push-button is provided on the nozzle and is coupled to the valve mechanism for moving the valve mechanism to close the predetermined portion of the delivery outlet when the push-button is depressed and open the predetermined portion of the delivery outlet when the push-button is not depressed.

  • Patent number: 5580227
Abstract: The present invention relates to a rotary piston pump for conveying and/or metering liquid or pourable media. It consists of a pump casing (2) with a cylinder chamber (4) having a cylindrical inner periphery (6) into which open at least one inlet (8) and at least out outlet (10), and a rotary piston (20) rotating inside the cylinder chamber (4) which, together with at least one region of its outer peripheral surface (22) forms a seal with the inner peripheral surface (6) of the cylinder chamber (4) and is separated in regions from the inner peripheral surface (6) by a radial stroke distance. When the rotary piston rotates (arrow 70), an expanding working chamber (24) is formed in the region of the inlet (8) to draw the medium in and, on further rotation, contracts again in the region of the outlet to force the medium out.
