Patent number: 8844762Abstract: A lid assembly for a beverage container having a lid housing, a seal assembly and a trigger member. The seal assembly has a drink seal to close the drink aperture. The seal assembly is rotatedly connected to the lid housing and movable between a use position and a cleaning position to allow the drink aperture to be open for cleaning. The trigger member is connected to the lid housing and is capable of engaging the seal assembly in the use position, but it cannot engage the seal assembly in the cleaning position. Additionally, a trigger lock is connected to the lid housing to prevent engagement of the seal assembly by the trigger member when the trigger lock is locked. The trigger lock may also contain a visual indicator to indicate that the lock is in the locked position.Type: GrantFiled: November 12, 2012Date of Patent: September 30, 2014Assignee: Ignite USA, LLCInventors: Joe Y. Patent number: 7775407Abstract: The contents extractor for jars is a device that is inserted into a food jar or household container. The extractor has a handle with an actuator that the operator squeezes; an elongated mechanized shaft that transmits movement from the actuator; and, a flexible material that retracts and transforms into a 360° disk shape to the inner surfaces of container. When the extractor is inserted into the jar and retracted, the operator pulls the entire device upward out of the container, thus removing the residue remaining. The extractor allows the consumer to use more of the product than would otherwise be possible, thereby saving money for the consumer and reducing resources used to make the product.Type: GrantFiled: March 12, 2008Date of Patent: August 17, 2010Inventor: Joseph L. Patent number: 5314090Abstract: An improved powder feeder having a hopper with an opening in its bottom. A resiliently deformable element is positioned in the opening of the hopper. The element has a flexible exterior dimension and is suitably positioned in relation to the opening to prevent the free flow of material through the opening. The element is mounted on an axle having an axis of rotation. The element is capable of carrying a metered volume of material through the opening as it is rotated. The axle is connected to a variable speed motor. As the element turns, the material flows into the element and moves through the hopper opening in precisely metered amounts relative to the volume and the speed of rotation of the element.Type: GrantFiled: March 23, 1992Date of Patent: May 24, 1994Assignee: Terronics Development CorporationInventor: George R. Patent number: 4399933Abstract: Toner dispensing apparatus comprising a toner hopper the walls of which form an elongated opening from which toner is capable of being dispensed and a dispensing roll to dispense toner from the hopper through the elongated opening into the developer chamber. The dispensing roll is a cylindrical resiliently deformable foam roll having a plurality of depressions of predetermined size, shape and volume uniformly disposed on the roll and being capable of holding finely divided toner. The deformable foam roll including the depressions has a thin toner impermeable surface. Patent number: 4350303Abstract: Two spreading mechanisms disposed substantially completely across a rear outlet of a container-hopper having a movable deck, the spreader comprising a pair of two-part distribution members which rotate about vertical shafts which are disposed close to the edge of the deck. The upper part has four sets of resilient tines extending from angle irons spaced outwardly from the rotary shaft, the tines being bent at their ends and connected to the angle irons via coils whereby they are resiliently forced backward in their rotation through the fertilizer, usually manure, and when released resiliently spring forward whereby material engaged by the tines if flung outwardly. On the same shaft the lower part is a disc type ejector extending in substantial part under the moving deck to receive fertilizer which the tines miss. A freely rotatable guide member surrounds the shaft between the ejector and the tined portion to preclude material from winding around the shaft.Type: GrantFiled: December 10, 1979Date of Patent: September 21, 1982Inventor: Cornelis van der Lely

Patent number: 4254897Abstract: A device for discharging particulate material, such as agricultural seed at a uniform rate comprises a hopper having a rectangular slot in the base, a driven roller having a compressible surface which contacts one side of the slot and a transparent glass metering plate attached to the hopper and which bears against the roller to provide a nip therebetween and to control the rate of flow of the material from the hopper while allowing visual examination of the flow of particulate materials between the roller and metering plate. The device may be conveniently attached to an agricultural drilling machine and the roller driven by a mechanism associated with the ground wheels of the machine. Collecting cups are provided for directing the seed from beneath the roller into the seed drills. Seed is discharged into the drills at a constant rate and no adjustment is necessary for use with seeds of different sizes.Type: GrantFiled: February 26, 1979Date of Patent: March 10, 1981Assignee: Hestair Bettinson LimitedInventor: Richard A. Patent number: 4133458Abstract: A toner dispenser including a substantially enclosed dispensing hopper arranged to support a quantity of finely divided particulate material. The hopper is provided with an opening therein through which the material is dispensed by gravity to a developer sump. A cylindrical dispensing roll is rotatably supported in the hopper in or adjacent the opening with the roll surface in biasing contact with the interior wall surface of the container to form a movable seal for retaining particulate material within the hopper. The roll is formed of a resilient foamed elastomeric material having a textured outer surface with a plurality of open-cell cavities adapted to receive and support toner particles. The dispensing roll is rotated sequentially through the material in the hopper to load the open-celled cavities and then past at least one of the biasing surfaces wherein the surface of the roll is deformed sufficiently to cause toner thereon to be dispensed from the roll surface into the developer chamber.Type: GrantFiled: May 2, 1977Date of Patent: January 9, 1979Assignee: Xerox CorporationInventor: Thomas J.
