The device also includes a cap at the proximal end of the elongated neck. The cap includes at least one aperture aligned with the channel of the elongated neck and is rotatably coupled to the housing such that rotating the cap relative to the housing selectively aligns the aperture with a first reservoir opening to provide fluid communication between the first reservoir and the channel, or aligns the aperture with a second reservoir opening to provide fluid communication between the second reservoir and the channel.

By rotating the top portion about the pin, such that a selected conical member is aligned with the orifice, a user of the device can select the fluid flow rate and flow direction that is needed to accomplish a particular task. A lid may be provided which includes annular members configured to engage the conical members in order to prevent contamination of the sterile solution.

The periphery of the lid has two diametrically opposed lugs each provided with a downwardly extending hook. The lid is applied by aligning the lugs with the cutouts so that the hooks can pass through the cutouts. When the lid is then turned, the hooks fit beneath and interlock with the lip to secure the lid in place. Pour openings in the skirt of the lid are offset 90.degree. from the lugs to assure that the lid is in the locked condition when the liquids in the pitcher are poured.
