Free Engaging Element Carried By One Cutoff Patents (Class 222/446)
  • Patent number: 8245886
Abstract: A powder dispensing container is provided, the container divided into a powder storage chamber and a powder dispensing chamber with an opening between the two controlled by a valve mechanism. A cap or closure member is disposed over an upper open end of a powder dispensing chamber and when opened, causes a closure of the valve mechanism. When the cover is returned to its closed position, the valve will automatically open allowing for new charge of powder form the storage chamber to enter into the dispensing chamber. The closure member is provided with an actuator that extends through the powder dispensing chamber and engages and causes operation of the valve mechanism.

  • Patent number: 5078305
Abstract: The present invention involves a container having a metered dispensing unit at its outlet, which can simply be opened and poured with assured metered dispensing. The container dispensing unit has a loading chamber, a loading chamber fill port, a dispensing chamber, a dispensing chamber outlet port and a connecting orifice. The loading chamber is located at least partly adjacent to the dispensing chamber. The loading chamber fill port is located at an upper portion of the loading chamber such that when the loading chamber is tipped for pouring, liquid in the container may fill the loading chamber. The connecting orifice connects a lower portion of the loading chamber with a lower portion of the dispensing chamber. The dispensing chamber is connected to the container main body for liquid flow thereto from the container only via the loading chamber. The dispensing chamber outlet port is located at the top of both the dispensing chamber and the dispensing unit.

  • Patent number: 4886193
Abstract: A device for metering a fluid product comprises a closure cap threaded onto the nack of a container and acting on the stem of a valve member to lift the latter of a seat formed at the lower end of a cylindrical wall fixedly inserted into the neck of the container against the action of a resilient member.A metered dose of the product is dispensed by turning the container upside down and unscrewing the closure cap by then filled with the metered dose.In the inverted position the fluid product contained in the container flows into a chamber defined by the cylindrical wall via the opened valve member and a passage associated to the resilient element. The flow of the fluid product into the chamber is stopped by the engagement of the valve member with its seat as the closure cap is being unscrewed. In another embodiment, an intermediate element having a screw-threaded neck portion and a seat for the valve member is secured to an annular rim of a container.
