  • Patent number: 8870032
Abstract: A hand-held dispenser for dry granular materials consists of a reservoir for the material, a removable telescoping rigid tube assembly, and a flexible valve assembly at the bottom of the tube assembly which allows passage of material when the inner tube is pushed into the outer tube. The reservoir includes a handle which allows the apparatus to be hand-held with the valve assembly end pointed downward. The inner tube is rigidly attached to the removable reservoir and can be pumped up and down to a pair of stops to dispense a measured amount of material at the bottom end of the telescoping tubes. The flexible valve can be constructed of a rubber sheet with radial fingers or spring loaded closure which will flex open to dispense material when the inner tube is pushed downward, but will not allow material to flow by gravity alone.

  • Publication number: 20140312076
Abstract: A telescoping dip tube assembly having a first tube which telescopes within a second tube. The exterior surface of the first tube has a first tube stop ring extending outwardly from its exterior surface adjacent its bottom end. The second tube has a second tube stop ring which extends inwardly from its interior surface. When the second tube is lowered over the first tube, the bottom surface of the second tube stop ring engages the top surface of the first tube stop ring, thereby preventing the second tube from separating from the first tube. This arrangement provides the advantage of a telescoping dip tube assembly that is strong and durable and prevents the second tube from falling into a tanker while being loaded.

  • Patent number: 7637397
Abstract: Disclosed are liquid dispensing devices suitable for use to dispense liquid from a container. They have a conventional sprayer associated with a flexible down tube. The down tube has an essentially rigid upper section linked to the sprayer, an essentially rigid lower section suitable to extend into the container, and an intermediate flexible section. An essentially rigid member (e.g. a sleeve) is mounted on/to the down tube so as to move between a first position in which it covers the flexible section so as to restrict pivoting of the lower section relative to the upper section, to a second position in which it permits the lower section to pivot relative to the upper section. As the down tube is being inserted in the container a flange on the sleeve is held by the container lip so that the sleeve is caused to move between the two positions. The down tube structure is thus rigid during assembly of the tube with the container, but automatically becomes flexible thereafter.

  • Patent number: 7546936
Abstract: A liquid aspiration device comprises an aspiration tube that slideably engages an opening in a cap such that a head on the end of the aspiration tube is moveable with respect to the opening in the cap. A tube cover is positioned between the opening in the cap and the head of the tube. The tube cover is operable to collapse into the cap when the head is moved into the cap. When the head and the tube cover are moved into the cap they are shielded from potential contamination that may occur when the aspiration device is moved from one container to the next. A lock is positioned in the cap. The lock is operable to move between an engaged position where the head may be retained within the cap and a disengaged position where the head is free to pass into or out of the cap.

  • Patent number: 7500584
Abstract: A mouth rinsing device comprising a pump housing and a reservoir. These two housings are arranged in series; i.e., the reservoir is attached to the base of the pump housing. A riser tube having a head on its end is situated on the pump housing and is fixed there by means of a lock so that only the head protrudes. When the reservoir is attached the lock is simultaneously released, so that the riser tube is able to slide into the reservoir and the intake opening is situated just above the base. After the reservoir is removed, the riser tube may be pushed in again manually. The riser tube is subsequently fixed in the retracted position by locking the head to the base of the pump housing.

  • Patent number: 6382474
Abstract: A valve assembly is disclosed for use in an aerosol spray can capable of spraying viscous materials or materials with large particulates without clogging or packing like traditional aerosol spray cans designed for spraying texture materials. The valve opening is located at the bottom of the assembly rather than at the top, thus allowing highly-viscous materials, such as a fire suppressant material, or materials having large particulates, such as stucco, to be sprayed from an aerosol spray can without clogging of the valves. The valve assembly can spray materials that more closely resemble the original surface texture found on textured and stucco-covered walls and ceilings of buildings and structures.

  • Patent number: 6293436
Abstract: A liquid dispensing container of the squeeze bottle type has a low center of gravity liquid bottle with a hemispherical base portion and a frusto-conical neck portion. A spout assembly is coupled to an upper end of the neck portion for dispensing liquid when a deformable bottom wall of the base portion of the bottle is flexed. The spout assembly includes a bottle cap with a through bore in which a flexible dispensing tube is slidably extensible and retractable to dispense liquid, such as lubricating oil, into locations that would otherwise be inaccessible. A wiper element in the bottle cap associated with the through bore provides a liquid impervious seal between the bottle cap and the tube and ensures that excess liquid on the outer surface of the tube is scraped off as the tube is extended. A nozzle is connected to a distal end of the tube and a pop-up sealing cap is slidable back and forth over the nozzle to selectively open and close a dispensing hole in the pop-up cap.
