  • Patent number: 7658304
Abstract: An apparatus and method for discharging vapocoolants in stream or mist form includes the use of selected fluoroelastomers for valve parts to regulate discharge. The fluoroelastomers provide long-term stability to the vapocoolants to enable superior shelf life without minimal loss or contamination of the vapocoolant. In addition, a filter is provided to remove contaminants from vapocoolant prior to passage through the nozzle opening.

  • Patent number: 7651013
Abstract: A nozzle arrangement adapted to be fitted to a pressurized vessel and to permit fluid to be dispensed through it under pressure, is presented. The nozzle arrangement includes a body having an inlet, an outlet, an internal fluid flow passageway through which fluid can flow from the inlet to the outlet, and an actuator portion adapted, upon operation, to engage and open an outlet valve of the pressurized vessel. The nozzle arrangement further includes a resiliently deformable wall member that undergoes a resilient deformation from an initial resiliently-biased configuration to a distended configuration in response to the operation of the actuator portion, and to revert to the initial resiliently-biased configuration when the operation of the actuator portion has ceased and cause any fluid remaining in the passageway to be expelled.

  • Publication number: 20090321479
Abstract: The invention refers to a bottle for containing fluids, particularly for pharmaceutical products or the like, which comprises a fluid container (2) made in a deformable material and which features a mouth for the passage of fluid, a valve (5) in an elastically deformable material that defines a flexible inner chamber arranged in proximity of the mouth, a cap (7) that substantially fits on and seals the valve and which features a dispensing opening for the fluid, and a containment ring (14) placed between said cap and said valve, arranged so that it externally embraces a portion of the valve and able to limit its deformation. A squeezing of the container causes the fluid to push up towards the mouth, the valve to compress, the fluid to flow between the valve and the cap and then to come out through the dispensing opening.

  • Patent number: 7637401
Abstract: A container including a nozzle and body depending therefrom. The body is preferably tubular and defines an interior which retains a product to be dispensed. A cap engages the nozzle to prevent inadvertent release of the product. In order to dispense the product, the cap is removed and pressure is applied to the body and the nozzle allows release of the product. The nozzle releases the product without exposing the remaining product to the external atmosphere, thus the sterility of the interior of the body is maintained and the shelf life of the product is increased. The nozzle includes an inner body, coupled to the tubular body, surrounded by a flexible outer cover. A seam between the inner body and flexible outer cover forms a one-way release valve wherein a portion of the seam remains closed during dispensing the product.

The nozzle assembly is advantageously provided as an element of a combination package and delivery article useful for both storing and dispensing a liquid treatment composition which package and delivery article comprises the improved nozzle assembly. The improved nozzle assembly, especially when part of a combination package and delivery article is especially useful for the targeted delivery of a drain treatment composition used to treat slow running but especially clogged drains.
