  • Patent number: 10144632
Abstract: Liquid container nozzles including a valve handle, valve body, spool, and spout assembly, where the valve body may move slidingly into the valve handle over the spool to control the flow of liquid through the nozzle. Liquid flow may be controlled by adjusting the position of the valve body in relation to the valve handle and spool using varying force or pressure. The spool may include one or more holes to control the flow of liquid. In some examples of the invention, the spool may narrow in an S-shaped fashion, and the holes of the spool may be located on a portion of the spool that narrows to form S-shaped holes. These holes may swirl liquid as it is poured from the nozzle to create a more uniform flow.

Abstract: The invention relates to an “SRS” with suction spout for beverage cans (canteens), bottles, cups or handheld containers that temporarily hold a carbonated fluid or hot drink under pressure and that is closed off with a top, holding an SRS. Spilling of the fluid held therein is prevented during awkward drinking situations such as in cars while driving, walking or other less controlled drinking conditions. The fluid in a beverage can, remains under pressure of the carbonation process while permanent access is possible through the subject SRS. For non pressurized fluids air is entered through the same valve in order to prevent a vacuum in the container when being emptied, which would reduce the fluid flow while drinking. In all situations and positions of the container, no spilling of the fluid is possible. In case of an aluminum beverage cans, the spout is permanently attached to the lid of the can, but may be removable when used for a drinking cup, bottle or handheld container.

Abstract: A closure for a liquid container, such as a sports drink bottle, includes a base component that is engaged over the mouth of the container, and a cap component engaged on the base component for movement from a closed position to an open position by pressure from the lips of the consumer. The base component includes a valve element supported on a fenestrated pedestal. The cap component includes a body defining a drinking surface for contacting the lips of the consumer and an annular sealing disc recessed below the drinking surface. The sealing disc is retained by the valve element against the force of a resiliently deformable seal disposed between the base component and the cap component. The seal has a sealing rim that is in constant contact with the base portion and provides an upward spring force to hold the sealing disc in the normally closed position. The seal includes a flexible hinge that allows the resiliently deformable seal to bow outward or bellows when the cap is depressed.

Abstract: A spout for a container comprising a conduit having a first end connected to the container, an aperture and a second end configured to be inserted into an opening. The second end of the conduit is configured to direct fluid axially out of the second end of the conduit. A closure plate extending across the diameter of the conduit for preventing flow through the conduit is provided. The closure plate has a closed position to inhibit flow through the conduit in an open position to allow flow through the conduit. A sleeve movably responsive to inserting the conduit into the opening moves the closure plate from the closed position to the open position. The sleeve is spring loaded to hold the closure plate normally closed. A vent tube having a passage is coupled to and supports the closure plate centrally disposed in the conduit.

The metered dual dispenser cap has a lower portion which is reciprocally attached to an upper portion. The lower portion has two inlets, each regulated by one way valves. The flow from the two chambers to the two dispensing outlets is regulated by two one way valves which are controlled by a push button on top of the cap. The volume expansion of the chambers, as the upper portion is pulled away from the lower portion, may be determined from optional scale gradations on the outer male wall. The scale gradations are increasingly exposed as the upper portion is pulled away to increase the volume in the chambers.
