Patent number: 4453653Abstract: A collapsible wall closure for a dispenser nozzle comprised of a stiff but resilient tube section adapted to be bent over and latched in the bent position to provide a fluid tight closure of the nozzle by collapse of the tube wall. The interior of the nozzle tube is undercut in the region of the wall collapse on either side of the tube along the fold line of the tube, in order to provide complete sealing collapse of the tube wall in the bent position. The undercuts are comprised of shallow grooves extending axially along the tube interior thinning the tube wall thickness in the region of the wall collapse. A pair of closures are incorporated in a cap closure particularly adapted to an ammonia hydroxide container for connection to vapor-type diazo reproduction machines.Type: GrantFiled: October 31, 1980Date of Patent: June 12, 1984Assignee: Michlin Diazo Products Corp.Inventors: Orest Chapelsky, Norman A. Patent number: 4286733Abstract: A valve for controlling gravity flow of a fluent product such as milk from a flexible bag of the product through an opening in the bag formed by severing a corner off the bag. The valve includes a pair of spring loaded jaws which engage the bag on opposite sides just above the opening formed by the removal of the corner. Cooperating cam surfaces on the jaws and on movable frames cause the jaws to move toward and away from each other as the frames are moved with respect to each other. Movement of the jaws away from each other causes the edges of the bag at the opening to become taut and restrict flow through the opening, while movement of the jaws towards each other relaxes the bag material adjacent the opening to enhance flow through the opening. The frames also carry resilient sealing bars which engage opposite sides of the bag just above the opening and seal the opening when the jaws are moved away from each other.Type: GrantFiled: February 6, 1980Date of Patent: September 1, 1981Inventor: Roy J.
