  • Patent number: 8434651
Abstract: A pouring member includes an unsealing cap and at least two rotation prevention sections extending vertically and downwardly from an end surface of an open end side of the unsealing cap and is arranged such that the at least two rotation prevention sections are apart from one another by an angle which is larger than a rotation angle required for twisting off the sealing part, and symmetrically with respect to the central axis of the unsealing cap. A recess is formed such that the recess opens to a front end side of the rotation prevention section, and an engagement projection engages the recess in a direction substantially parallel with a direction in which the rotation prevention sections are extended vertically and downwardly, and is formed at a specific position of the flange part of the pouring member.

  • Patent number: 8157115
Abstract: A child-resistant cap comprises: an inner cap mounted at a vessel inlet of a vessel; an outer cap disposed at an outer circumferential surface of the inner cap so as to perform an idling with the inner cap; a rotation force transmitting portion disposed between the inner cap and the outer cap for transmitting a rotation force of the outer cap to the inner cap only when the outer cap is downwardly moved with a force more than a certain degree; and a sealing member removing unit formed at the inner cap for removing a sealing member sealed at the vessel inlet when the inner cap is detached from the vessel inlet, and storing the removed sealing member in the inner cap. Since the sealing member removing unit is integrally formed at the cap, the sealing member is automatically removed at the time of opening the cap. Accordingly, the sealing member needs not to be additionally removed, and thus a usage convenience is enhanced.

  • Patent number: 7614514
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a tamper evident closure for a container having a cap on a spout. The inverted cap can be used as a tool for removing a twist away element. Both, the cap and the spout have conic guiding surfaces, which center the cap in respect to the spout, while it is removed towards and onto the spout. The initial opening of the tamper evident closure is therefore easier.

  • Patent number: 6832703
Abstract: A cover for fracturing the neck of a glass ampoule or vial of the type having a glass body, a glass top and a glass neck joining the body to the top and dispensing fluid therefrom. The cover has a first portion with a hollow interior sized to sealingly receive and resiliently capture the body portion of the ampoule. The device has a second portion including a first hollow interior section sized to engage and capture the top of the ampoule. The second portion of the device has a second section in the form of a pouring spout in fluid communication with the ampoule neck and includes an opening for dispensing the liquid contents of the ampoule which opening is covered by a filter. A resiliently expandable portion connects the first and second portions. The expandable portion is in a contracted position before the neck of the glass ampoule is broken and expands upon breaking the neck thereby moving the top of the ampoule away from the ampoule body.

  • Patent number: 6443330
Abstract: A container for, for instance, an adhesive agent, comprising a main cap and a container main body formed with a nozzle section that has a twist-off cap that can be separated from and opens the nozzle section; wherein the main cap is formed therein with an accommodating section that holds the twist-off cap, and the main cap is rotatably mounted on the nozzle section. When the main cap is turned or twisted, the twist-off cap inside the main cap is twisted and separated from the nozzle section but stays inside the accommodating section of the main cap even after the main cap is detached from the container main body.

  • Patent number: 6299012
Abstract: An aperture forming structure, which when attached to or integrally formed in dispenser packages for flowable substances allows reclosure and single or multiple uses. The aperture forming structure includes a break away tip member of thermoformable plastic. The break away tip includes a hollow protrusion from a surface. The intersection of the hollow protrusion and the surface is a fault line. Rupturing of the fault line creates an aperture from which the contents of the dispenser package may exit. A cap may be integrally formed with the aperture forming structure and detached for protecting the hollow protrusion or for closing the aperture created when the fault line is ruptured. The aperture forming structure can be made by heating a relatively stiff substantially flat thermoformable sheet of and then stretching the sheet to create a first and a second hollow protrusion in a tiered configuration. A rupture line is placed at the intersection of the first and the second protrusions.

  • Patent number: 6206222
Abstract: An easy-open, reseable closure assembly for a beverage can (10) comprises a metal lid (12) and two threadedly connected molded plastic closure elements (40, 60) with engageable annular reseal surfaces (46, 76). The lid is scored (30) to define a circular tear panel (28) and a hinge (32). The spout element (40) is attached to the lid (12) with the bottom surface of the cap element (60) directly above and aligned with the periphery of the tear panel (28). Rotation of the cap element (60) by a user ruptures the tear panel and pivots the tear panel (28) downward about the hinge (32), providing a passage through the spout element (40) for pouring and driking. Initial rupture and rupture propagation of the tear panel (28) is controlled by the spacing of the cap element (60) from the tear panel (28) and their configurations. When the cap element (60) is replaced on the spout (40), reseal surfaces (46, 76) engage.
