Abstract: A monolithic break-seal includes a membrane that separates an outer ring from an inner ring. The inner ring is bonded to a vacuum cell and the outer ring is bonded to a vacuum interface. To protect against unintentional breakage of the membrane, a surface of the outer ring not bonded to the vacuum interface contacts the vacuum cell. An external vacuum system evacuates the vacuum cell through an aperture of the break-seal. Once a target vacuum level is reached for the vacuum cell, a cap is bonded to the inner ring, blocking the aperture and hermetically sealing the vacuum cell. The membrane is broken so that the hermetically sealed vacuum cell can be separated from the vacuum interface to which the outer ring remains bonded.

The metallic end region disposed within the peripheral microgap or the weakening line is received and held in the opening region of the end. The sealing frame is bonded to the fixed end surface and the closure unit is bonded to the upwardly pivotable metallic end region. Except for a possibly provided lacquer layer, the inner end side is at least largely free of lamination and the like.

Methods can include providing a bottle having a dosing chamber with a first outlet, a reservoir chamber configured to store a solution and including a second outlet, and a sprayer for dispensing solution via the second outlet. The sprayer includes a spray head and a trigger that, when actuated, draws solution from the reservoir chamber and dispenses it by spraying the solution from the spray head. Methods can include filing the dosing chamber with a predetermined dose of solution from the reservoir chamber and dispensing the solution onto the lower grill from the first outlet, and dispensing the solution onto the upper grill by spraying the solution onto the upper grill from the second outlet.

Abstract: A dosing system for analgesic liquid suspensions including unit dose containers made using blow-fill-seal (BFS) technology. The containers come in various sizes and hold appropriate doses for specific weight ranges. Each container has body with a compartment for holding the liquid, finger rests for squeezing the container to expel the liquid, a tab at one end for labeling, and a twist-off closure at the other end. In the larger containers, the opening end has a lip rest, which is a flattened section that includes opposed, curved depressions. In the smallest container, the opening end has a long tapered neck. The suspension has a relatively low viscosity to ensure more complete dose evacuation from the container. The containers will be sold in assemblages of various combinations of sizes.

The closure body includes a “canoe”-shaped skirt portion which is heat sealed to a film-like pouch and a neck portion having a dispensing orifice for dispensing a product from the pouch. A cap is connected to the closure body by a living hinge to allow the user to selectively open and close the container. The dispensing closure further includes a tamper-evident tear strip that is integrally formed with the cap body, and detachable from the cap body. A ledge formed on the inner surface of the tear strip engages an interfitting locking tab formed on the outer surface of the closure body to prevent opening of the cap without removing the tear strip.

The overcap has a depending valve, which engages with the spout to hold these components together prior to assembly to the container. The foil is welded to the flange and is also used to weld the closure to a rim of a container neck of standard threaded design. The overcap can screw to an external thread on the container neck. The invention discloses an improved method of assembly.

Abstract: A product dispenser package for storing a viscous product for personal use comprises a container including an interior chamber extending to a sealable opening, the interior chamber being structured and disposed for holding the viscous product, and whereby squeezing one's fingers against the container and directing one's fingers along the length of the container from the bottom end of the container towards the top end of the container forces the viscous product out of the interior chamber through the opening. In a preferred embodiment, a portion of the relevant end of the dispenser package is folded over on itself to prevent inadvertent emission of the product. The folded segments may be sealed with a food grade adhesive or held together by a band sized for engaged receipt of the folded segments.

The child resistant dispenser includes a locking mechanism disposed between a cap and a housing and the cap is frangibly coupled to the housing. To prevent inadvertent emission of the product, and in order to keep the opening of the dispenser package closed and sanitary prior to use, a portion of the relevant end of the dispenser package is folded over on itself and sealed with a food grade adhesive. The single use dispenser packages are tube-shaped to allow for easy squeezing and emission of the product out of the aperture.

The tapered end is initially closed for preventing discharge of material from within the passage. A removable tip portion is formed within the tapered end of the nozzle body. The removable tip is formed by a tear tab projecting from the tapered end and a removable tear strip formed within the sidewall of the nozzle body and connected to the tab. The tear strip is defined by spaced, longitudinally extending tear lines within the sidewall and includes at least two removable sections along the length of the strip. The tear tab forms a starting mechanism for transferring an opening force to the tear strip to remove the sections of the strip to form a discharge opening.
