Patent number: 9404257Abstract: An apparatus for spacing and stabilizing truss members is provided. The apparatus includes an elongated channel member having a middle portion, a first arm portion, and a second arm portion. The first arm portion and second arm portion extend outwardly from the middle portion. A plurality of U-shaped clamp members may be disposed along the length of the elongated channel member. At least one U-shaped clamp member can be attached to a central truss member providing a centered layout for spacing a first truss member in relation to a second truss member. A hinge member may pivotally attach the middle portion of the elongated channel member to the second arm portion, allowing the second arm portion to swing onto an additional third truss member.Type: GrantFiled: July 17, 2015Date of Patent: August 2, 2016Inventor: Howard Reno

Patent number: 8484949Abstract: A method is provided for monitoring of the functionality of an After Treatment Injector (ATI) for injection of a fluid in an engine exhaust gas system upstream of an exhaust gas treatment unit. The monitoring is performed by using a pressure sensor which detects the pressure of the fluid delivered to the ATI for a specific condition or injection cycle. The pressure sensor is located downstream of a flow regulator and upstream of the ATI in a conduit for supplying of a substance from a container to the ATI. An ECU is programmed to perform a predetermined sequence of opening and closing commands for the flow regulator and the ATI, furthermore perform a frequency analysis of the measured pressure value in order to monitor the functionality of the flow regulator, the ATI and the pressure sensor. The method is adapted to be used in connection with an On Board Diagnosis (OBD) system.Type: GrantFiled: September 10, 2007Date of Patent: July 16, 2013Assignee: Volvo Lastvagnar ABInventors: Richard Sebestyen, Anders Lingenhult

Patent number: 8162185Abstract: A viscous material processing system has a chamber to hold containers shaped as drums and has a plunger that presses into the interior of the drum to press out its highly viscous contents. The chamber has a hinged enclosure that has a hydraulically activated clamp that connects the two sides of the hinged enclosure that is controlled by a controller in a methodical way. The hydraulically activated clamp can be arranged in series and also has a relief cartridge and pressure sensor to prevent the drum from over pressurized. The processing system also has viscous material compounding system that receives and uses the material provided by the drums.Type: GrantFiled: October 31, 2011Date of Patent: April 24, 2012Assignee: Momentive Performance MaterialsInventors: Jennifer L. Patent number: 6598765Abstract: A dispenser (10) for flowable, viscous material (52) includes a housing (12) comprising a main body (18) and door (20), and a reservoir (50) for the material (52) with an elongated, synthetic resin deformable outlet tube (80) presenting an outlet end (82) coupled to the reservoir (50). A flow-controlling assembly (16) including a tube-engaging element (84, 132, 150, 158) and an actuator linkage assembly (86, 130, 144, 154); these components together with a pneumatically operated piston (54) within reservoir (50) allows precise on-off operation of the dispenser (10). In the flow-permitting position, the element (84, 132, 150, 158) is adjacent the tube (80).Type: GrantFiled: August 13, 2001Date of Patent: July 29, 2003Assignee: Brewer Science, Inc.Inventors: Russell T.
