The control scheme can run the BLDCM at very low speeds while maintaining a constant velocity, which enables the pumping system to operate in a wide range of speeds with minimal variation, substantially increasing dispense performance and operation capabilities.

    Abstract: A concentrated flavor dispensing machine having displacement pumps for delivering between a fraction of a milliliter and a few ounces of fluids having a viscosity value between 1 to 4000 centepoise is described. The dispensing machine includes a cabinet for containing a multitude of displacement pumps, where each displacement pump is realizably connected to a disposable pre-filled fluid cartridge. Each displacement pump includes a stepper motor in engagement with a threaded drive rod that is advanced or retracted by any one of several predetermined distances. Flexible capillary tubes connected to the output of each disposable cartridge direct the fluid to a central dispensing area.     Abstract: A motion-activated soap dispenser is provided having a vertically directed motion detector and a vertically oriented dispensing stream of hand cleaning solution. The device comprises a counter or wall mounted housing having a reservoir of hand soap or hand sanitizer that is ejected in short bursts in an upward direction and onto a user's palm placed over a top-mounted motion sensor. The reservoir is a refillable liquid container that is pumped for its contents, or alternatively the reservoir is a replaceable cartridge of compressed hand cleaning solution that utilizes internal pressure to eject the contents therefrom. The solution is routed through a conduit and into a nozzled aperture along the upper portion of the housing, whereby the solution is dispensed in liquid or foam consistency.
