Abstract: A longitudinally elongated, transversely flexible pulling member, having a rounded leading end and a trailing end with a female connector for releasably capturing a leading tip end of a drawstring, whereby the leading end of the pulling member can be inserted into an entry end of a drawstring channel in a garment or container and pushed there along to pull the drawstring into and along the channel to insert the drawstring in the channel with opposite ends of the drawstring extending from opposite ends of the channel.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for inserting a drawstring into garments or articles having a hem or channel for receiving the drawstring. The apparatus includes a resilient, hollow tubular member which receives the drawstring in a secure fashion so that it can be threaded into the channel of the garment. A method of inserting a drawstring includes attaching the string to the hollow member so as to be sheathed therein, placing both elements in the channel and threading the same completely therethrough, and then removing the hollow member from the drawstring.
Abstract: A threader for curtain rod of the telescoping type having open ends of rough cut metal, to easily thread the curtain rod through the hem of the curtain. The structure has an insertible end of the spring resilient material to be inserted in the rod opening and a spring transversely crossing the insertible end. The spring is of a greater diameter than that of the crossection of the standard type of rod. To facilitate the threading of the threader into the end of the curtain rod the crossectional spring is compressed. Accordingly, the threader is readily adaptable to curtain rods of varying crossectional diameters.
Abstract: A drawstring restringing system comprises a notched flexible rod having a flexible end cap for securing a drawstring to the rod to facilitate restringing of the drawstring through a channel in a garment.
