Abstract: An apparatus for dispensing a disposable glove and applying it to the hand of a user in which a stream of air drawn into an enclosed glove applying chamber through a constricted opening aligned with the heel of the glove inflates the topmost glove in a stack of gloves in the chamber so that a user can readily insert his hand into the glove. After the user has donned the glove on the hand, a wall of the chamber is opened to permit the user to readily withdraw his hand from the glove applying chamber while the air flow which originally inflated the topmost glove is disrupted. • Patent number: 8215524
Abstract: A mechanical device for pulling on and removing socks which does not require any excessive bending or other extraneous body movement by the user. The device is primarily comprised of a triangular shaped sock mount attached to one end of an elongated shaft that terminates on a second end in a u-shaped handle containing hand operative controls. By engaging the hand operative controls the device can secure a sock to the sock mount while the user places their foot inside the sock. Disengaging the controls allows the user to remove the device from the sock while keeping their foot inside and enables the sock mount to rotate 180 degrees to expose the stationary elevated tongue that can then be used to remove the sock from the user's foot, can be used as a shoe horn, or to place the device in a storage position.

  • Patent number: 8113395
Abstract: A compression garment upper extremity donning assist device is designed to assist those individuals who find it very difficult to don a compression garment using only one arm. Users are commonly weakened from a medical condition, lack flexibility or suffer from limited mobility. Due to the design, users of the donning device can easily mount it to the edge of any countertop, table, or level flat surface using the integrated suction cup. The user can then pull any type of upper extremity compression garment over the device, and then, by pushing through the garment stretched over the donning device, roll it up the arm for proper location and medical care compliance.

  • Publication number: 20110297709
Abstract: A device in the form of a slipper which may be worn on foot (primarily) or hand which assists a wearer in entering a wetsuit by reducing friction between the wetsuit material and the wearer's skin. The device has a sole portion and top portion stitched, glued or otherwise sealed at the edges to form a foot or hand pocket. The device is tapered at the toe to prevent snagging during wetsuit entry. The device is open at the heal and contoured around the ankle bone to prevent excess material from hindering wetsuit entry, and to prevent the wearer from grabbing the material through the wetsuit, when commonly gripping the wetsuit on either side of the ankles in order to push the foot through the opening. A preferred embodiment includes both top facing and bottom facing pockets to assist a wearer in grabbing and pulling the device off the foot or hand once the device is through the wetsuit ankle or wrist opening.
