Patent number: 8584913Abstract: A method and apparatus for reconnecting a button to a garment includes positioning the button in a desired location on the front side of garment. The ends of a wire are then manually inserted into the thread receiving holes of the button, and the wire is pushed through the garment from the front side to the back side so that the wire urges the button into contact with the first side of the garment, and the ends of the wire penetrate the back side of the garment thereby forming first and second protruding legs. The protruding legs are then manually bent over until they abut the back side of the garment. A sheet is then adhesively applied to the back side of the garment to cover the bent over protruding legs. In another embodiment, the protruding legs are twisted together before being bent over.Type: GrantFiled: August 16, 2012Date of Patent: November 19, 2013Inventor: Leon Perlsweig

Patent number: 7857175Abstract: An uncomplicated, easy-to-use, and non-mechanical device for making loop-fashioned bows from wraphia, curling, or other similarly flexible ribbon. The rectangular box configuration serves a three-fold purpose. First, the two horizontally-placed dowel-like rods act as the “hands” by which the ribbon is held taut. Secondly, spools of ribbon can be supported by four vertically-placed dowel-like rods located on the top surface, giving the bow-maker various ribbon color options while keeping the spools contained in an easy-to-work-with space. Finally, an added feature is the pull-out drawer which will allow for storage of various bow-making and gift-wrapping supplies, including the various dowel-like rods. This allows for easy and compact storage when the device is not in use.Type: GrantFiled: May 1, 2007Date of Patent: December 28, 2010Inventor: Natalie E. Schorr
