Abstract: A boot and shoe tree is described for maintaining a pair of boots or shoes in adjacent relationship for storage while being self-standing when not in use. The boot or shoe tree is constructed from a pair of adjacent members joined together at one end and filled with material to provide the members with a self-supporting quality, in addition to a weight provided at the lower end thereof to provide the boot or shoe tree with a self-standing quality.
Abstract: Hosiery toe closing and boarding apparatus has a pair of heatable boarding forms to which hose are fed by a reciprocally-acting transfer mechanism from carriers of a known toe closing machine. The boarding forms are mounted on a turret to move between hose-receiving and hose-discharging positions respectively associated with wind-on and wind-off rollers. At their ends remote from the toe closing machine the boarding forms are interconnected by a hinge with a rotatably-drivable hinge pin for causing one form to swing into a superposed, registered position over the other form immediately prior to discharge of the hose from the boarding apparatus.
Abstract: A pair of spaced-apart and identically shaped elongate boards is supported for vertical adjustment on a pedestal-type stand. The boards are interconnected and maintained in spaced-apart relationship at their lower ends and the upper or free toe end portions are spaced apart so that the panty hose can be easily drawn onto and off of the sizing form. Opposite side edges of the boards are contoured symmetrically with gradually curving configurations which progressively increase in width from the free toe ends downwardly to the panty portion so that the panty hose can be easily drawn onto and removed from the sizing form. The shape of the form permits the panty hose to be positioned on the sizing form with the fabric in uniformly stretched condition throughout all areas of the panty hose.
Abstract: A hosiery article stretching and marking device and a leg form are provided to accurately measure and compare the relative compressive forces of longitudinally spaced portions of stretchable hosiery articles. The form includes integral leg and foot portions with the leg portion being circular in cross-section throughout its length and with successive segments increasing in circular diameter from the foot portion and throughout the length of the leg portion. Flat flexible and radii conformable sensor devices are supported in spaced longitudinal positions along the leg form and pressure indicating gauges are operatively connected to the sensor devices and provide a visual indication of the relative compressive forces applied by the hosiery article on the areas of the leg form where the sensor devices are located.
Abstract: The display form is inserted within the baby bottie to maintain the bootie in a condition simulating the appearance of the bottle on the foot of a baby. The display form is molded of sheet plastic material with a length and width corresponding to the length and width of the foot portion of a baby bootie. An upper wall is provided with integral side walls extending downwardly on all sides and with opposite end portions being arcuate. The height of the side walls generally corresponds to the height of the foot portion of the bootie and the singlepiece display form is substantially hidden when inserted into the bootie.
